Story
Cobalt is a beautiful mixed breed dog who was brought to the shelter with his brother, River. He was extremely underweight (and is still on the road to recovery with a lot more weight to gain) because he had been trapped and starving in a house for at least two weeks with his deceased owner. Despite this, he is a sweet, playful, and affectionate boy, although still a bit shy due to his past.

Story
Athena is a 2 year old sweetheart. She was found living in terrible conditions, chained up in a pile of scrap metal and other items, tangled up with another male dog. Since being in our care, she has been spayed, microchipped, fully vaccinated, and treated for fleas, ticks, and worms. Athena is such a darling and deserves a new home and family. We are so happy we are able to provide her a second chance at a better life.

Story
Jinxx's estimated DOB is 04/07/2020 and he's a black and white Pit Bull Terrier. Jinxx and another dog by the name of Jayda came to Haven of the Ozarks after they were found by a couple that was staying in Shell knob Missouri on a family get away. After checking to see if they had been microchipped and posting them on social media, sadly they were not able to find any possible owners. These two are both very energetic playful loving dogs that would make the perfect family dog for most anybody. They love other dogs, children and to romp around all day long. They both do pretty good on a leash but still are getting use to regular walks around the Haven. We believe with just a bit more time they will both be pros at leash walks because they are very quick to learn and eager to please. All of our pets are fixed, up to date on their vaccinations, and microchipped. The Haven of the Ozarks is open form 9am-4pm, seven days a week. For more information, please email us at havenozarksanctuary@gmail.com, or give us a call at 417-835-3647....All pets have lifetime sanctuary at Haven of the Ozarks. Story
Jello is a beautiful red female Pitbull Terrier and her estimated DOB is 04/02/2017. She was brought to us when she was going to be put down at another shelter. While at a foster home recently, it was reported back that she is shy but incredibly loyal. She very quickly became a velcro dog seeking out love and affection and returning it tenfold. She did well in her crate and slept quietly through the night. She has great house skills, is gentle even when playing and loves her bed. She does have energy so would do great with a family that will take her for walks or spend time playing with her each day. Jello is sweet to all people but is not a big fan of small animals. She can absolutely get along with other dogs with a proper introduction, but she may need to have her own little space where she can get away from the other dogs of her household where she can eat and play with her toys in peace! All of our pets are fixed, up to date on their vaccinations, and microchipped. Story
Hey there, my name is Dylan and I am one handsome dude! A 1-year-old, male Boxer/Staffordshire Terrier mix, weighing in at a solid 50 pounds. Don't let my big size fool you, I may look tough but I'm just a playful pup at heart. I've been hanging out at the shelter since August, patiently waiting for my forever family to come and take me home. I may know Sit, but I'm still working on Wait. Can you blame me? I'm just a young boy with lots of puppy energy to burn. My special routine includes taking myself for a walk (yep, I'm that good) and playing tug of war with my favorite toys. I'm not gonna lie, I have a lot of energy and I'm one strong boy, so an experienced dog owner who can handle my enthusiasm would be perfect for me. I love attention, especially after I've had the chance to let go of some of the anxiety from living in a kennel. Right now, I can be a lot until I understand what to do with my energy, so no young kids for me, please. My personality? Well, I'm curious, friendly, and always happy. I'll never say no to a good belly rub and I'll always make you laugh with my silly antics. So, what do you say? Are you ready to make me part of your family? Come meet me today and let's see if we're a perfect match!
