Story
Hatchett is a gentle old man dog whose body may not move quite the way it used to, but his heart is as strong and golden as ever. He is the kind of companion who finds joy in the simple things: being wrapped in soft blankets, curling up on the couch, and sharing quiet moments with the people he loves. Hatchett is looking for a calm, peaceful home where he can spend his retirement years surrounded by comfort and affection. He has lived with another dog - so he may do well in a home with a dog, if it is mellow. As for cats, we have no history of him with cats, but a dog-savvy cat who respects his space, may be okay. Though he is on supplements to help keep his body functioning, Hatchett may need ongoing veterinary care to ensure he stays comfortable as he ages. What he offers in return is immeasurable-unwavering loyalty, gentle cuddles, and the kind of love only a senior dog can give. Hatchett may be slower than he used to be, but his spirit is full of warmth, and he is ready to share that with someone who will cherish him in his golden years. ♥ Primary Color: Black Secondary Color: Grey Weight: 22.5 Age: 13yrs 1mths 1wks

Story
**Currently fostered in Houston Texas but is available for out of state adoption via rescue transportation. Virtual meet and greet offered prior to adoption commitment** Kyra is a happy go lucky pup who found herself abandoned on the streets. She was emaciated, had poor skin and just full of worms. Thankfully an amazing woman found her and took her in. She got her clean, well fed, and fully vetted. Now, Kyra is ready to start the next chapter in her adventure! Kyra is just over 2 years old, and is a total hambone of a dog. We believe she is some kind of pitbull, retriever, hound mix. Basically what we call, a Texas Street Special! Whatever her breed, she is all adventure pup and very eager for life. Kyra loves people, I don't think she could ever meet a stranger. She's extremely loving, and enjoys cuddles on the couch, giving kisses, and looking cute for treats! We think she would even do wonderfully with children. Kyra has done wonderful with other dogs as well. She is fantastic at her doggie daycare, does well at dog parks, and loves to play. She doesn't mind the cats, She does chase them at times when she just wants to play. Kyra is not an aggressive dog, but she can lack the meaning of personal space and some of the cats we've introduced her to have not taken kindly to that. We think she could do well in just about any home, however, she would prefer to have regular play mates that can keep up with her be it siblings or play mates from friends, neighbors or daycare environment. She just wants to enjoy life with someone! Kyra does very well with training, mostly due to the fact that she's so smart. She learns quickly, and at times, can be TOO smart. Like how she knows how to push the door open if it's not latched properly. She knows her basics such as sit, kennel, stay. Her only need for training is working on her impulse control. She is fully crate trained, and is doing fantastic with her leash training. She is housebroken, but being such a big pup still, we suggest using a kennel until fully acclimated. Though she quite enjoys cuddling in the bed or couch. Kyra is fully vetted, meaning she is current on all vaccinations and preventions. She is spayed as well as microchipped too.
