Meet Jeff - Your New Best Buddy!Age: 2.5 years | Breed: Red Pit Bull TerrierJeff is a lovable goofball with a heart of gold! At 2.5 years old, this handsome red Pit Bull Terrier is the perfect mix of playful energy and big snuggly sweetheart. He can be a little shy when meeting new people at first, but give him a few minutes and he'll be leaning in for love like you've known each other forever.Jeff is a strong boy, and while his leash manners are just okay right now, he's a quick learner and already showing progress. He walks calmly past other dogs and would benefit from a confident handler to help him keep improving. His previous family said he's not a fan of cats, but he has done well with other dogs during his time with us and could make a great companion for the right dog-savvy pup. Jeff is crate trained and does well with structure. He may get a bit worried when left alone for longer periods, so he'd thrive in a home where someone is around more often or can help him build confidence being on his own. We're currently looking into the possibility of some mild allergies-nothing major, but he may benefit from a special diet or some ongoing monitoring to keep him feeling his best.If you're looking for a loyal, affectionate buddy who just needs a little time to warm up, Jeff might be your perfect match. Come meet him-you'll be glad you did!We are open to walk in's Tuesday - Saturday 12 pm -4 pm (except for Stat Holidays).Walk-ins are prioritized. In order to prepare for your visit, you can submit a Pre-Adoption Questionnaire as well at;https://spca.bc.ca/adoption/cat-pre-adoption-questionnaire/ Primary Color: Tan Weight: 23.5 Age: 2yrs 5mths 3wks

Story
If you are interested in Banana, you can fill out an application and send it to the Abbotsford SPCA! At this time, only local homes may be considered to take Banana for a foster to adopt until his neuter is complete on April 21st. Banana is an awesome dog and a staff favourite! He came into BC SPCA care as a stray. He has been under the care of the BCSPCA for some time now, and now that he is on the mend he is looking for his new furever home! He is an energetic approximately 8 month old guy, and will require a family that can dedicate time and patience to her ongoing training. Banana will require some more work with his basic manners (such as jumping up to say hello), walking nicely on leash, and potty training once in a home environment. He already knows "sit", "laydown" and fetch. Banana is friendly and loves everyone! We think Banana would do well in a home with other dogs, although he has not been introduced to cats or small animals here at the shelter. Banana would thrive in a home that can provide him with a consistent routine and lots of love! Primary Color: Brindle Secondary Color: White Weight: 26.9 Age: 0yrs 9mths 0wks

Story
Patches came in with her sister, Mini. They are both still feeling quite timid and fearful of new things, as their worlds were just so small before they came in.Patches will need gradual introductions to people, places and things. She has a charming sweet personality and would make a great companion dog. She would do best in a home with another dog to help socialize her and teach her dog behavior and play.Patches will require a set routine in her new home, with slow intros to new situations, being left alone, as well as basic house training. She will need a committed home that can work with her. Breed experience would also be ideal and an asset for her.If you're interested in learning more about sweet Patches, please submit an application for the Shuswap Branch through the link below!https://spca.bc.ca/adoption/dog-pre-adoption-questionnaire/ Primary Color: Black Secondary Color: White Weight: 18.3 Age: 0yrs 7mths 3wks

Story
If you are interested in Kiwi, you can fill out an application and send it to the Abbotsford SPCA! At this time, only local homes may be considered to take Kiwi for a foster to adopt until her spay is complete on May 5th. Kiwi is a lovely dog that originally came into BC SPCA care as a stray. She has been under the care of the BCSPCA for some time now, and now that she is on the mend she is looking for her new furever home! Kiwi is an energetic approximately 8 month old girl, and will require a family that can dedicate time and patience to her ongoing training. Kiwi will require some more work with her basic manners (such as jumping up to say hello), walking nicely on leash, and potty training once in a home environment. Kiwi is friendly and loves making new friends! We think Kiwi would do well in a home with other dogs, although she has not been introduced to cats or small animals here at the shelter. Kiwi would possibly do well with kids in the home, however due to her rambunctious personality we recommend older kids or children that have experience with larger dogs. Kiwi would thrive in a home that can provide her with a consistent routine and lots of love! Primary Color: White Secondary Color: Black Weight: 24 Age: 0yrs 9mths 0wks

Needs special attention,
Story
Meet Blossom! This sweet 2-year-old girl is mostly blind and also seems to have some hearing loss. An experienced dog owner that is willing to work with Blossom to help her move around the world with her little vision is needed.Blossom has been going on lots of walks and we have all found her to have excellent leash manners. If you have treats and a gentle touch, she will respond very nicely. She would do best in a home with no young kids as she is not able to see, and the unpredictable nature of them running around can be quite scary for a dog with her special needs. If you are looking for a sweet girl who needs a second chance at life, she's waiting for you. She is a true love and will brighten your life every day along with putting a smile on your face and in your heart. To start the process, please fill out a pre-adoption questionnaire here: https://spca.bc.ca/adoption/dog-pre-adoption-questionnaire.The Centre is open Tuesday - Saturday Noon to 4 pm (except for Stat Holidays).Walk-in's are prioritized.
