DANTE is such a true gentleman... just watches all the dogs passing by his kennel and waits for his turn to be taken outside, not a peep inside from him. Volunteers have said that he walks very well and doesn't pull. He loves being pet and even closes his eyes while it is happening. He is such a sweetheart. He has had such a rough life and this is the epitome of saving a dog. His former owner treated him horribly, but he has not one mean bone in his body. He loves to just lay on your lap (yes, he is a lap baby) and gives you so much love. Dante will need to be the only animal in the home, and needs to go to an adult only home; he's not a fan of little kids. From some of his favorite volunteers: "Dante is the goofiest, most creative dog I've ever met! I laugh every time I see him because he's learned a new trick to entertain himself." "My current favorite PPR animal is Dante! Dante is the definition of a giant teddy bear. He is a big boy that may look scary on the outside, but in reality he's a goofy dog with the biggest heart. From his skin issues to his shaved down teeth, it's obvious he came from a horrible scenario yet he's still the happiest dog - a true testament to the Pit Bull breed. Anyone that knows him can attest to the fact his love for playing with bowls runs deep and it makes everyone laugh. He never fails to put a smile on our faces!" "This boy has been neglected by those in his past so he's understandably a little shy at first but is oh so sweet and totally open to being loved." "Dante has a calm demeanor, is very mellow and just patiently waits in his kennel to be taken out. He craves human affection and loves being pet." "Those eyes just melt my heart. He's a very calm and mellow dog and overall a sweetheart." "Dante is amazing. He is a sweet and loving big boy. He loves attention. He is still healing from a skin issue but don't let that deter you. Hi, my name is Bruno but you can and SHOULD talk about me. I am a sweet wiggly butt kind of guy, and I would be considered a pocket pittie! I have such a fun loving personality, I am a silly boy that loves to make my people smile. I love chasing lizards and trying to climb trees although I don't get very far. I would prefer a home where I am king of castle with no other pets and older children. I like to wiggle and throw my whole body on your lap so we can snuggle. Meet Luna! Luna originally came into our care in 2022 from Orange County Animal Shelter. She was adopted to a family and returned due to the owner's work schedule changing, resulting in them no longer being able to care for her. Luna is fully house trained. She is great with people but does need to be the only dog in the home. She has been around children and did well. She is playful, energetic, loves to cuddle. Luna also knows all of her basic obedience and does well with a prong collar. Stop in and meet her at our Adoption Center, or share her story and help us find her the perfect home!

Ziva is a sweetheart that came to us from Costa Mesa Animal Control where she was found a stray. Ziva is an adorable, loving pittie that is excited to find her forever home. She is about 8 years, and is very well behaved. She loves to go on a walk or receive a good rub down. Ziva keeps her space clean and is a quiet girl. Come meet Ziva today! From one of our amazing volunteers.. Ziva (8-year-old female American pitbull and my current favorite. Shhhh...don't tell the other dogs) did not want to leave the park today. I hadn't planned to walk to the park but Ziva was insistent. I believe we were there for 40 minutes. First, she watched the off-leash dogs play ball and really wanted to join them. Then she watched the preschoolers play on the playground equipment. If she had her way, we'd still be there. The previous time that we were at the park, an off-leash German Shepard ran up to Ziva and barked aggressively in her face. Ziva just stood there. Didn't flinch, didn't cower, didn't bark back. I was very impressed. I also love that she doesn't pull when being walked.

I found Bruno while driving to the dog park. He was walking through a dirt field which would’ve led to a busy street. As soon as I walked up to him, he army crawled up to me with his tail wagging, smiling, and rubbed all over me wanting to be pet. I have taken him to my vet and he is updated on all of his shots and got a general health exam in which the vet stated he is a healthy dog. The vet believes he is somewhere between 5 and 7 years old and weighs 68 pounds. He does well with my dog who is also a pit bull. I am looking to find him a home that can give him the love, affection, and attention he needs and deserves as the conditions he was living in before do not seem that they were the best. He’s great with kids as well and essentially would love a home where he can just hangout and sleep but also have a walk or two as well as some play time. Bruno is a gentle, sweet, and loving boy who deserves a forever home!
