Story
Ryu was purchased from a breeder and been with my family since he was 8 weeks. Ryu recently got sick and the Dr.’s put him on epilepsy medication. Ryu, actually ate something in the yard that caused him to get sick. Just went to the Doctor had blood work and everything is great with him. Ryu is not aggressive and very loving. He has been around others dogs and kids. He loves to cuddle and play. Ryu is gaining back the weight he lost and getting back to his playful self. Because of a change in work he is currently being kept in a cage too long and needs a family that he can roam with.

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Introducing Addy. She has every one of us wrapped around her paws. She is a petite 41-pounds, is about three years old, and she is spayed. She is the perfect office assistant for us! She is interactive, welcoming to shelter visitors, and easy-going when we need to work. The cutest thing about her is that she likes to walk underneath your legs while you are sitting! She goes back and forth, back and forth! It is the cutest quirk! She really is the most joyful darling. Addy is what we call a "people dog" for sure! If Addy is around people and being affectionate, she is one happy pup! She's always wiggling because her tail is always wagging. Addy has one of those puppy personalities that you just love to be around. She loves everyone and everyone loves her! In the home, she likes to cuddle at night before bedtime. What better way to relax other than to snuggle up with this cutie pie?! We are still watching her interactions to see what she thinks about other friendly furry friends. We haven't seen her around kiddos yet, but we do think that she would be one amazingly loving fursister to them if they are respectful! She likes to bring her toys up to whoever she wants to throw them. Talk about an inclusive pup! Addy has done very well on her car rides! Could you just imagine how adorable she would look as your shotgun rider?! She is an eager girl and likes to learn. We are working on teaching her how to walk nicely and calmly on a leash. Addy has mastered how to sit, wait, stay, and come. She'd be one fantastic family dog!

Story
It is impossible to not feel happiness and joy when we get to hang out with Diamond. Her gleeful personality is contagious and she makes everyone smile around her. Whether she is in two feet of snow or is snuggling up in the office, Diamond is wonderful to be around. Diamond's ideal adopter would be someone who likes to snuggle close to their dog. She likes to sit right next to you and ask for belly rubs once she knows you. She's met kiddos around 8-years-old and she had full body wiggles when she saw them! She's done best interacting with equally playful and friendly male dogs. Diamond would prefer no kitties. So, she's quite versatile! She could be adopted into a home with or without kiddos as well as with or without dog friends (depending on the resident pup!) When we're outside with her, she'll get short spurts of zoomie energy. She makes us laugh because her zoomies aren't exactly of normal zooming speed, but she sure tries! Then Diamond rolls over for belly rubs and will kerplop onto your lap for cuddle and affection. Diamond would love to go for car rides so her big ears can flutter out the window. We think she'd also enjoy a beach or neighborhood walkie, and then curling up on the couch to watch TV. She'll be a wonderful family dog to a lucky family. She is about five years old, is spayed, and is an absolute pleasure to be around.

These pups are in Elkhart, Indiana too!

Good with kids, Good with dogs, Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Lyra Lyra has mastered the puppy dog eyes - even still at approximately 7 years old. She understands that your couch is our couch, your bed is our bed, makes herself at home, and even updates the Feng Shui of any cushions - free of charge! She is packed full of personality, and loves to be near you as much as possible. Lyra was clearly cared for in her past life, and it's possible she never used to have to potty outside if it was raining or snowing. Despite not being a lover of the elements, she does still adhere to her potty training and makes every effort to "hold it" until she's let outside.  Thus far, she has gotten along with everyone and everything. Anyone - human, dog, or even car - that passes by is a potential new friend, and she is READY to greet them (nicely and quietly). She reads the room really well and doesn't want to start any trouble, but she will absolutely let loose and wrestle, chase, and smack talk if she has a willing playmate. She has not resource guarded anything but bones so far, and is OK if you touch her food, but very very sad if you take it away (even to add to it), or don't put enough food in her bowl to begin with. She will hit you with her signature puppy eyes and they are very effective.  She has some pretty big feelings about being left alone. She is currently on Prozac to help manage those feelings, and she will sing you the song of her people when you leave her. But she does better with another dog in the home, and is an absolute angel while you're gone. She does NOT like being cooped up, caged, or tethered, though. The only time she has ever been destructive is when she has not had free range.  She does OK on the leash - she pulls but listens and distracts you with the little flops of the tips of her ears. Off leash, she gets the zoomies and particularly enjoys spinning in circles. She is also pretty good about coming to you.. Once she has taken in the sights and smells.  We do not know her past. She has several scars, and a knee that's been fixed up. None of that seems to have phased her, however! She is the absolute sweetest dog and just wants to love and be loved. She is very playful and would prefer a home with other pets, and ideally someone who is either retired, works from home, or a home where at least one human is home at any given time.  We've not tested for everything yet - but we suspect she'd be friends with any age of human, and any animal. We do not accept electric/underground fences. All dogs & cats in the home must be spayed/neutered & up to date on core vaccines & preventatives in order for your application to be approved. ##1840663##
