Story
Alani Alani is a Female Pit Bull Terrier mix DOB: May 2021 Adoption fee: $100.00 All I want to do is give you hugs and kisses. I enjoy playing with toys and going for leisurely walks but when that’s done, I just want to lay on my bed and get lots of belly rubs. I am a powerful girl, strong and will need someone with bully breed experience. I listen well and with the right owner I know I can be the best friend I was always meant to be. I am very vocal with other dogs. I have played with a couple of younger male dogs, but I’d really prefer to be the only dog in my home. That could change after I’ve had time to decompress and relax with my new family. I will require a physically fenced yard. I am best suited with older teenage children. I may be okay with a dog savvy cat, or no cats. I have been at the shelter for a very long time, waiting for my forever family to come meet me and fall in love.

Story
I’m Peanut, the most loving 58 lb. Pittie in my shelter. I’m 2 years, 4 months and I get along with everyone, (even cats) and do fantastic on my meet and greets with other furry friends. I'm eager to learn new commands, I already know sit. I enter the RPSM training on June 14th for 10 weeks. My shelter mom cried her eyes out when I was chosen for prison. She says I’ll be the perfect, handsome boy with my new manners. I’m up to date on all of my vaccines and I am neutered. Once I play out my energy, may I please lay in your lap? That belly rub sounds fantastic. All I really need to happy…is you! Submit your application today! If you get approved to adopt me, you will receive my weekly reports to follow my training. I will get to come home with you on Aug 23rd. I’m neutered and I’m UTD on all my vaccines, HW, FT, and have a microchip of my own.  RPSM recommends children 6 years and older.  I will require a fenced in yard, either physical or underground. If you are interested in adopting me, please go to www.rpsm.org to fill out an application. My adoption fee is $300. ##2070795##

Story
Hello kind humans! I'm Polly, the pocket Pittie! I’m a charming 1.5-year-old possible Pit/Jack Russell mix weighing in at just 22 lbs. I found myself alone and scared at the shelter, but now I’m enjoying life, waiting patiently for my second chance at my foster home in Plainwell, Michigan. I'm eager to find someone who will love me forever and play with me endlessly! My foster mom says I'm a BIG sweetheart. I adore sitting on her lap and giving her kisses. I love playing with my foster dog siblings (sometimes a bit rough). Toys and chewables are my favorites. Despite my age, I still have the energy and playfulness of a puppy. Oh, did I mention I love to play? Don't worry, I know how to calm down and enjoy quiet moments too. I’m not a big fan of cats and I get very excited when greeting people, so I might be too much for little kids. My forever home will definitely need a fully FENCED-IN YARD where I can run and play until my heart’s content.I'm working on my house and leash manners, I’m crate-trained, sleep through the night and perfecting my potty training. Occasionally, I have accidents, but I'm getting better every day. I enjoy car rides, shopping trips, and even short visits to the pickleball court. I’m fully-vetted and ready to join your family with an adoption fee of $300.Questions? Email projecthoperescue@gmail.com. If you're ready to welcome a loving, playful and sweet companion into your home, fill out the adoption application by visiting our website at www.projecthoperescue.org. Story
Suburban Legends is a cute little pibble who was found tied to a tree in a local park. He's a friendly little guy who likes other dogs (he has no idea how to read social cues from other dogs so he's pretty rude sometimes especially when the other dog is saying "back off" and he's still trying to play!). He would need a very tolerant friend! He loves people and isn't holding any grudges for being left behind in a park and is hoping his new person will stop in and choose him soon! All our adoptable dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots before adoption.

Story
I have had him for 5 years the first 4 years I had help and now that it’s just me I can’t give him all the attention he deserves. I am looking for some who can be home with him most of the time and treats him as part of the family. Angel is moody and emotional in the best way he feel’s everything so deeply. He loves attention and cuddles but has a funny way of telling you. He can get jealous if you are giving someone else attention instead of him but it’s so cute. He’s a pretty chill dog for the most part but he does easily go through toys so you have to make sure they are really durable. He does get anxious when left alone its part of the reason I am letting him go I work too much and he really needs some around almost 24/7.

Story
Name: Libby Breed Guess: Pit mix Age: 1 year old Gender: Female Weight: 47 pounds Shelter Temperament: Sweet & Playful Children: 10+ Cats: NO Dogs: Needs to be an only dog Adoption fee: $250 Likes: Snuggles, giving all the kisses, playing fetch, happy wiggles, and going for walks Libby has a bit of stranger danger when it comes to new people, but we don’t blame her! With the help of treats and calm petting, it doesn’t take her long to feel comfortable! She just needs to make sure you are safe! A fenced in yard is required for Libby. The Animal Rescue Project (www.animalrescueproject.org) is committed to the best possible veterinary care for the pets it rescues and it is looking for adopters who will be similarly committed. Adoptions are NOT first come, first served! We seek to choose the best fit for the approved adopter and pet. Please understand that these animals are still new to us and their needs and requirements can change at any time as we learn more about them. We will try our best to get them updated online as soon as possible. All dogs and puppies are given a general check-up when they enter our program. They receive medication to remove any intestinal parasites (worms), fleas, and ticks they may have. Dogs greater than six months of age are checked for heartworm. If heartworm positive, the Animal Rescue Project treats the disease. Dogs and pups receive all age-appropriate vaccinations for distemper, and dogs greater than four months of age are also vaccinated for rabies, in compliance with State of Michigan laws. All dogs are also microchipped. Most dogs and older puppies are spayed or neutered before adoption. In the case of puppies not old enough to be safely sterilized, a $50 deposit is required at the time of adoption and is refunded to the adopter with proof of sterilization. The Animal Rescue Project requires every adopter to establish an active relationship with a veterinarian no later than 10 days after adoption. Adopters will receive a plan for routine veterinary care at the time of adoption and are expected to work with their vet to complete the plan.
