Story
Hello everyone!    My name is Falkor (yes I was named after the most amazing dragon!) I am a 10-month-old Pitsky (Pitbull/Husky) puppy, and I love everyone I meet, and I can’t wait to get some puppy training!  My foster mom is sad to see me go but, here is what she said about me. Falkor is such a friendly boy and loves everyone he has met so far. Loves to play with our male dog and does just fine with our neighbors Yorkies through the fence. We have a cat who he has pretty much ignored until the last couple days. He only shows interest in sniffing her, she then proceeds to whack his nose, and he backs off. He sleeps through the night, in his kennel or our bed. Loves to have a tennis ball in his mouth, but also likes to shred them. He does good with his potty schedule and is a pro at the doggy door and will gladly let himself out. He knows sit and down (lay). We've only heard him bark 2 times. He had knee surgery and will be off restrictions before he enters training, so he definitely has puppy energy to use up! He loves to be by his people and snuggle. We went on one walk, (before his surgery) and he did great. Falkor is already a wonderful family dog, and I have no doubt he will excel in his training. Falkor is the total package, and I think he will get scooped up quickly, so run don’t walk and put that application in! Falkor will enter the RPSM training program for 10 weeks to learn his manners on May 30th. On Aug 8th, Falkor will be ready to come home with his approved family. If approved to adopt Falkor, you will receive his weekly training reports to follow his training. Submit your app for this great guy today! Falkor is neutered and UTD on all their vaccines, HW, FT, and have a microchip of their own. RPSM recommends children 6 years and older.  Falkor will require a fenced in yard, either physical or underground. If you are interested in adopting Falkor, please go to www.rpsm.org to fill out an application. Falkor’s adoption fee is $300. ##2394906##

Story
Hey there, I’m Zero! My foster family gave me that name because they say I remind them of the dog from The Nightmare Before Christmas. I was found wandering the streets of Louisiana and found myself scared and alone at a high-kill shelter. Luckily, Project Hope rescued me. I’ve made my way north and now I’m ready to find my forever family!I’m about 2 years old, weigh 45 pounds, and have short, fluffy black fur with some bronze mixed in. People say my deep brown eyes are pretty hard to resist. I’m probably a mix of a bully breed, Shar-Pei and Lab, but all I know is I’m 100% lovable and loyal. I live with my foster family in Saginaw, Michigan, and boy, is it a full house! There’s my foster mom, five human kids, two dog siblings (one’s a Great Dane, so she’s huge!), a cat and even a rabbit. I get along great with the other dogs, and I’m trying really hard to get used to the cat and the rabbit too. I also love every human I meet—big, small, young, old—I’m friends with everyone! When I’m not running zoomies in the backyard with the other dogs, I’m working on my training. I’ve already mastered “sit,” “here,” and “down,” and I’m learning more commands like “leave it” and “off.” My foster mom says I’m a quick learner, and with a little time and patience, I can do just about anything. Also, I’ll need a fully FENCED-IN YARD so I can run and play until my heart’s content! I love chewing on toys, especially horns, antlers, and stuffies, and I take treats gently. I sleep all night in my bed in my foster mom’s room without any accidents. I’m not a fan of getting on the furniture—no couches or human beds for me, thanks! I just like to be near you, whether it’s at your feet or next to your chair. I’m working on crate training, too. It’s not my favorite, but I’m getting better since I know my foster mom always comes back for me. Car rides make me a little nervous, but I’m improving there as well—I prefer hanging out in the back seat.   I’m a sweet, goofy and devoted pup who just wants to follow my people from room to room and be with them always. Could you be the one I’ve been waiting for? My adoption fee is $300, and I’m fully-vetted and microchipped. Questions about me? Email projecthoperescue@gmail.com. If you think we're a perfect match, fill out an adoption application at www.projecthoperescue.org.  I can’t wait to meet you!December 14, 2024, 9:09 pm

Meet Esco (aka The Mesko Man): Professional Goofball, Part-Time Tongue Model Are you looking for a furry friend who’s got looks and personality? Meet Esco, a 1.5-year-old, 55-pound hunk of love wrapped in a stunning all-white coat and powered by two icy blue eyes that can stop traffic (or at least get you free coffee at drive-thrus). Previously adopted as a baby, Esco had a brief solo adventure and returned as a stray—but don’t worry, he’s not bitter, just better. Now he’s ready to settle down with a forever family who appreciates his talk-back sass, surprise tongue appearances, and endless need for attention. Yes, his tongue has a mind of its own and likes to photobomb at random—he’s basically a canine comedian with a flair for the dramatic. Esco likes dogs, gets along great with kids, rides in cars like a seasoned road-tripper, and snoozes peacefully in his crate (after he’s done throwing his own little vocal comedy show during playtime). Think of him as your emotional support jester—he lives to entertain and be adored. If you’ve got space in your heart (and your passenger seat), The Mesko Man is ready to be your ride-or-die cuddle buddy. An experienced bully breed owner is preferred, Esco is working on his impulse control and unwanted behavior. So thankful for this second chance at a new beginning. Submit your application today! I'm neutered and UTD on all my vaccines, HW, FT, and have a microchip of my own. RPSM recommends children 6 years and older. I will require a fenced-in yard, either physical or underground.
