Story
Donnie is big goofball, very loving, loves attention, food, the outdoors, car rides, playing with other dogs and loves to be right in your way! Donnie can be around children however we recommend that the children are older as he is big and unaware of his own size. He is friendly towards young children just sometimes will jump and knock young children down. He also requires apoquel/ Benadryl especially in the pollinated seasons. He requires medicated baths for his skin. Currently we are unsure where his allergies come from, we have experimented with different foods and medications and so far those are the ones that work the best and a no chicken diet. He also often gets ear infections that require daily drops. Can provide past vet visits with the medications we have tried. He is up to date on shots and other requirements.

Story
URGENT SITUATION! PLEASE MEET SAMI! Sami is a sweet senior at 9 years old. She is urgently looking for a long term foster family which may lead to an eventual adoption for the right family. Sami's life is up in the air & she needs a special family to give her a home until it gets figured out. Sami's mom has been living in a medical facility, hoping to one day be reunited with Sami, but that is looking like a very long way off, if ever. Because of this, Sami's needs are being financially taken care of by mom. Sami is true couch potato She does not like walks or spending too much time outdoors. She goes out to do her business & heads back inside to her couch. It is a MUST that Sami be allowed on the couch as this has always been her favorite spot. Sami also loves splashing in the kiddie pool. Please see how wonderful Sami is in the attached videos: https://youtu.be/tk82T1Be0Vc https://youtu.be/zRU3Ut2kpHo Sami loves people & is very affectionate. Sami must be the only animal. If you can offer sweet Sami a place to stay with a couch & lots of love, please email us asap at fanabalasanctuary@gmail.com. * INDOOR HOME ONLY.

Story
MEET SCRAPPY: Scrappy was found wandering in a local park and he is settling in well at his foster home. He gets excited when greeting someone he knows, but generally has a sweet, calm demeanor. He seems happiest when he can climb into the lap of a familiar person. He may be a bit shy at first, but he warms up quickly with a gentle approach and snacks! His foster family has a curious cat, and while they have not been formally introduced, he mostly ignores her and other small critters he has seen on his walks. He has not been around children or other dogs thus far. Scrappy is well crate-trained and is quickly learning not to pull when walking on a leash. He prefers not to venture too far from home-base on his walks, but that may change as he becomes more comfortable in a new home. Scrappy is up to date on all vaccines & vet care. He will be neutered before adoption. If you would like to make this sweet, loving, affectionate guy a permanent part of your family, please reach out to us asap at fanabalasanctuary@gmail.com for an application. Adoption fee applies. Scrappy is located in Rochester, New York, but can travel for the right family. * INDOOR HOME ONLY.

Story
Bo is a very sweet, gentle boy. He gets along with kitties & doggies. Bo is a 5 year old special needs guy. Because of this, he would do best in a home without stairs or with limited stairs. Bo requires a special harness to help him, although he is able to get up & down ok, and walks, his gait can be wobbly. You must be dedicated to Bo receiving the necessary supplements & care he will need throughout his life. Bo loves kitties! He gets along with doggies, but would do best with laidback dogs who do not play rough. Bo had allergy tests. It was determined tat he is allergic to dust mites & bees. Bo is a snuggler & would very much like to sleep with his person, as he will look for you when you are out of sight. Bo loves sleeping on the couch as you can see in some of these adorable pictures. Bo also loves an ice cream treat. Bo is ok when left alone & is not destructive. He would prefer to have a family that can spend lots of time with him, especially snuggling. Bo is up to date on vaccines & will be neutered before adoption. Story
Jax is a perfect balance of energy and goofiness. Most importantly, he always ready for his next adventure! Whether it’s a long hike, a game of fetch, or just exploring the backyard, Jax puts his whole heart into it. He is hopeful that his next adventure will be a new family to call his own. This young man tends to give off the impression that he is a grumpy guy due to his default frown. However, once he gets to know someone he melts into a sweetheart! He will bring you toys to play tug of war with, and if you give him pets he arches his back like a cat. Our volunteer dog walkers and frequent doggie day out participants are always wondering why nobody is asking about their good buddy Jax. Jax's playful spirit is matched only by his deep loyalty to his people! Jax enjoys time playing on agility equipment, long walks in the woods, and couch time with his buddies. While he isn't a fan of other dogs or of cats, he assures you that his hilarious, goofy and loving personality is enough to fill your heart and home all on his own. Come see what we all love so much about Jax and meet him at Lollypop Farm today!

Story
Meet Zeus – Waiting for His Second Chance Zeus is a 1 ½ to 2-year-old Bully mix who has already been through so much in his short life. He and his sister, Foxy, lost their home when their family could no longer care for them. They entered the local shelter last November and Zeus spent months waiting behind kennel bars before coming into Lucky Paws Doghouse on June 11th. Despite everything, Zeus is still the sweetest boy. -Gets along with other dogs -Walks nicely on a leash -Loves yard time and running around to play -Friendly, affectionate, and gentle -He and his sister were kenneled together at one point and got into it over food. This could have occurred just from being in a high-stress environment. So, we would recommend feeding him separately from another dog in home just in case. We haven't seen this issue with any other dogs since! Sadly, Zeus has also tested heartworm positive — but this isn’t the end of his story. He is currently on slow-kill treatment. Zeus deserves to know what it feels like to be safe, loved, and home. He’s been waiting long enough — could you be the one to finally give him that chance? -Video of Zeus: https://youtube.com/shorts/zFL8zCJZOUM Zeus is neutered, vaccinated (DHLPP 9-in-1, Rabies, Bordetella), wormed, on monthly flea/tick prevention. Health certificate and exam will be performed less than 10 days prior to transport. Adoption fee is $700, this is including all vetting above and transport cost.
