Story
Rain is a funny and energetic dog - also stereotypical boxer. Beautiful fawn color and good health (aside from some allergies). As she has grown out of puppy years, she can also be quite lazy and sleeps much of the day. Loves to play frisbee! House trained and generally likes people, and other medium/large dogs she might play well with, very hit or miss. With young children and busy schedules we no longer are able to give the attention to her and want her to find a great home and dog/boxer lover.

Our dogs are fostered and located in North Carolina until adopted. Once adopted we can transport to your location or to one of the other north eastern locations. We have a cost effective transporter who runs every other week. This sweetie was born 12-1-22. She is a boxer mix. She is a bit shy until she gets to know you. However, she warms up fast. She likes everyone and is good with kids. She does well with other dogs but she does not like cats. She is potty trained and crate trained. She really is the sweetest humble soul ever! This pup is current in all age appropriate vaccines, preventives, heartworm tested and on prevention and microchipped. She will be spayed prior to going to her new home.The adopter will get all the health records with the adoption. We require a prescreen application to adopt. Our pets are fostered and physically located in NC until adopted. Once they are adopted we can transport to your location or any of our many north eastern locations. We have a cost effective transporter who delivers to the north every 2 weeks. This pup is a Boxer mix. He was born 3-10-24. He is very outgoing and friendly. He is great with people. He is socialized with other dogs and cats. He has been started on potty training and crate training. He is current on all age appropriate vaccines, preventives and he is microchipped. Story
Jack has recently developed a pretty intense fear aggression with a recent history of biting. Living in a cul-de-sac with kid's friends that randomly show up, we cannot have him at our house anymore. I have called the agency where we got him and due to bite history, they wouldn't be able to foster him. He has been on Prozac 40 mg for at least 6 weeks now and we have Ativan to give him when we know we are having company over. We have met with a complex behavioralist after the initial bite and to do what we need to do to train him would mean that both my husband and I would need to quit our jobs. He really needs to find a home where they have the time and bandwidth to re-train/train the fear/anxiety out of him. He is an absolutely amazing dog - super obedient, house trained, sits, lays, shakes paw, plays well with Zero. Has not really been exposed to other dogs yet he likes our bearded dragon. Truly breaks our hearts to even have to be in this position.

He loves going for walks and is excellent in car rides. A fenced yard would be ideal for him due to his energy level. Currently, he resides with other dogs, cats and kids in his foster home and is friendly.      Charlie truly loves his food and treats, especially anything with peanut butter. He is currently crate and house training and making huge improvements daily. He would prefer to be near his person come bedtime.     Adoption fee is $350  September 13, 2024, 8:03 pm
