He is looking for a semi-active family to slowly help him get more active. This guy is a big squishy marshmallow that would love to snuggle and chase a tennis ball down your hallway. 4/5/25 Building Volunteer Feedback: Big Bongo is an amazing dog! He is a gentle giant with plenty of drool. He’s eager to leave his kennel and becomes a devoted shadow—whether you walk or run (though his adorable waddle is more his style), Bongo is right behind you, without needing treats as encouragement. Bongo enjoys exercise indoors, especially walking loops with a treat nearby. Surprisingly, Bongo shows great restraint—he doesn’t attempt to jump or snatch the snack from your hand. Instead, he listens attentively and is well-versed in commands such as "sit," "hand," "wait," "lay down," and "bed." To manage his weight, his snacks—like the three low-fat treats used during training—are split into tiny pieces to prevent overindulgence. Bongo is a very good boy with immense potential. With weight management and continued care, Bongo would undoubtedly love to play more and reveal even more of his charming personality. 12/31/2022 Foster Feedback: Bongo has spent two nights at our house. He made himself at home pretty quickly and is showing is personality more and more. He is potty trained. He goes to the door to let you know he has to go out. He does his business and comes in pretty quickly. He also is crate trained. I don’t think he necessarily likes to go in the crate, but goes in for a treat easily. He has been kept out of the crate at night and does well at night. We have a nine year old lab who he would really like to play with. She however, is geriatric and crabby and does not want to play. I understand he has been around other dogs and does well.   Bongo is a beautiful dog as you can see by the pictures. He has great color. He is pretty mellow most of the time but does have some spunk in him for play time. He likes to chew on tennis balls, a Kong ball, and plays with a rope. Here are a few of his likes/dislikes we have noticed so far:  Likes:  -Food! Bongo would eat every waking minute if you let him. He loves meal time and treat time.   -Kids. I have three children aged 7 to 13. He loves the kids. He stayed in my oldest daughter’s room Thursday night and I was up when he woke up. He greeted me calmly and immediately went to the other kids’ rooms to check on them. He got really excited when my youngest woke up. She received ear sniffs and lots of kisses from him when he saw she was up!   -His blankies. He likes to lay on the floor with his blankets. He is welcome on our furniture, but mostly seems to want to stay off of it and prefers to snuggle up on the floor with some blankets.   -Naps. He will wander around and play for a while, but he likes to nap after active time.   -His balls/toys. He likes to kick around the ball and chew on it. It is funny to watch.   -People. He has enjoyed meeting all the people he has been introduced to.   -Car rides. He sits nicely in the car and has enjoyed all the car rides he has been on so far.   Dislikes:  -The vacuum. The vacuum is an enemy. He thought he was tough and saving us from the vacuum. But really he would not get close enough to actually save us if it were an enemy.   -The sound of the dryer telling us the clothes were dry. Lol. He heard this while napping, perched his head up, and went to investigate. Maybe not a dislike, but it certainly peaked his interest!   Bongo is a happy go lucky dude and has been a great dog in our home so far.To view additional dogs available for adoption, please see our website: www.4luvofdog.org April 28, 2025, 8:30 am

We had a great time playing fetch in the yard and learning that "drop" means another throw. When he got tired he just laid on my lap for a snuggle. He's so happy to be around people and doesn't seem to mind the other dogs barking at him in the shelter. COURTESY LISTING FOR OWNER – CALL TIM @ 701-404-0668 This pretty girl is Piper! She is timid at times but also can be energetic. Piper LOVES to snuggle and take naps! She is really good with kids and loves to be around them. Piper can be quite the protector when it comes to certain dogs being around her family. She is not spayed, but is current on her vaccinations. She weighs between 40-50 pounds. She does have a minor skin condition that requires some extra TLC with frequent bathing and an occasional anti-itch spray. She will come with a food bin, kennel, some of the soap and itch spray that she uses. If you’d like to add Miss Piper to your family, please call TIM @ 701-404-0668. Story
Miss Piper is 3 years old in July 2025. She is a sweet, well behaved dog. She came to us from family that can not keep her. While she is great on leash around other dogs, she is definitely an Alpha in the house. She gets along well with our lab but not our pittbull (both females). She is amazing with children (we have 4yr, 15mnth old) Piper needs a home where she is not in the kennel all day, she was kenneled a lot before and developed a bit of anxiety, which has left her with some bald spots, they are growing back!! Piper loves to play, take naps and clean up any snacks that make their way to the ground. She is kenneled trained, and potty trained. She is shy but sweet and has relaxed so much since being here. But do to the 2 dogs not getting along we have to find her a new home that's fits her. Is that you?

He was scared of me a couple of weeks ago when I first met him but was so happy and affectionate today. His favorite activities are going for walks and chasing balls in the yard. His smile will melt your heart, and he would love to spend afternoons on the couch with you!  To view additional dogs available for adoption, please see our website: www.4luvofdog.org April 28, 2025, 8:30 am

She loves to run and play. She is still a little mouthy and continues to be easily redirected with Nylabones. June Bug is treat and play motivated. She has enjoyed some fetch and tug. She loves covering her head when snuggling and getting ready for a snooze.  1/11/2025 Foster Feedback: June Bug is a whopping 12 lbs now!!! She is growing nicely though gets distracted while eating. She joins in enthusiastically when her mentor dogs show their delight with food.  Taking naps is a favorite activity of hers, and she has shown us that the best way to get some sleep is to tuck her head under blankets, pillows or in your overalls. She will occasionally stick out her tongue when getting some seriously deep sleep. Can she get any cuter? I think not! With this latest cold snap - she now doesn’t love going outside to do her business. She will still go but prefers to use the puppy pads.  June Bug is curious about the resident cats, but she gives them space. They will find her peeking around the corner to get a good look. When spotted she will go to another corner to peek around.  Junie loves play, with her signature move of rolling on her back and fending off her playmates with her hind legs. Her size doesn’t hold her back in her pursuit for a good time.  We discovered she loves chewing on the kitchen chairs much to our chagrin. She is now aware of the joys of Nylabones - for the preferred and more acceptable teething toy. It’s hard to get upset when she looks at you with the most adorable and innocent eyes. Could this little bundle of joy fill that space in your home and heart? 1/1/25 Foster Feedback: June Bug, aka Junie B, is the sweetest little gal. She is adjusting well in these first few days we have had her. She is doing well with potty training but is not a huge fan of being outside in the cold. June Bug usually gets right to business and runs back inside. She is sleeping in her crate for most of the night.  She is a great snuggler. It is so adorable to see her prancing around and playing. June Bug has the most fun to watch puppy coordination- over shooting her destination, getting caught up in the blankets she is wrestling with.To view additional dogs available for adoption, please see our website: www.4luvofdog.org April 28, 2025, 8:30 am
