She loves other dogs and would thrive in a home with a canine companion to play and socialize with. Kaiyah can be cautious with new experiences at first, so slow and gentle introductions help her feel secure. She is making steady progress each day and gains confidence quickly with patience and positive reinforcement—especially when treats are involved. Once she feels comfortable, her goofy and affectionate personality really shines. She is doing very well with potty training and uses bells to signal when she needs to go outside. Kaiyah knows sit and stay and does well in her crate while her foster family is at work, though she is understandably very excited when her people return home. Kaiyah has not yet been introduced to cats, so her compatibility is currently unknown. She would do best in a home that understands puppy confidence-building, is patient, and is committed to helping her continue to grow and blossom. To view additional dogs available for adoption, please see our website: www.4luvofdog.org January 7, 2026, 8:22 am

Story
Mushu…also known as Mushi Mu, Mu Mu, or any other name variation or combination of her name, is the BEST girl and best dog anyone could ask for. She has been almost a perfect houseguest as long as she’s been with me in her foster home. She is potty trained, crate trained, loves treats, eats well, and LOVES her rope toys and to pay tug with you with her rope toys. She walks well on a leash and, despite the cold and snowy weather recently, loves to go for walks. She also loves car rides. Another one of Mushu’s favorite things are belly rubs, and she will roll over for a good belly rub almost at any moment. She is so so sweet and loves to cuddle and lounge on the couch with you as well. She is a great listener and knows how to sit and gives you her paw to shake. Best of all, she is good with cats! She mostly ignores them. Mushu is a good-sized dog, so she might be a bit much for a home with smaller children, but would be awesome with older kids. Any adopter would be lucky to add Mushu to their family.

Story
Hi there, I’m Yates! I know I might look like a serious guy at first glance, but don’t let the face fool you… I’m actually a goofy, sweet-hearted fellow with a whole lot of love to give. I’m currently living in a foster home, and I’ve been showing off all my best qualities. My favorite hobby? Cuddling. I’m what you might call an enthusiastic snuggler — sometimes I get so excited to be close that I sort of… toss myself into your lap. It’s my signature move. I promise it’s all out of love! I get along great with both dogs and cats, and I’ve done wonderfully meeting new people, too. I walk nicely on a leash, even past other dogs, and I really enjoy getting out to explore. Foster life has been good to me, but I’m excited to find a forever family to love. I do have some allergies, but with a little care, I’m just as happy and content as can be. What I truly want is a home where I can be someone’s silly, affectionate sidekick. If you’re looking for a loyal, loving guy with a big heart and goofy charm, I’d love to meet you! Love, Yates

Story
Hi there! I'm Capri, a spirited girl with a zest for life and a heart full of love. I'm always up for a game of fetch or tug of war — I just can't resist the thrill of chasing after that ball or pulling on the rope. Walks are one of my favorite things; I love exploring new sights and smells, and I'm always eager to see where the next adventure will take me. When it's time to wind down, I'm more than happy to curl up beside you and enjoy some quiet time together. I’m crate trained and comfortable in my space, and I enjoy chewing on my favorite bones to relax. I get along great with other dogs — playdates are the best! However, cats aren't really my thing, so I’d do best in a home without them. If you're looking for a loyal companion who's ready to share in your adventures and quiet moments alike, I might just be the one for you. Let's meet and see if we’re a perfect match!

Story
Hi, this is Bear. He is a 5 year old pittie that my husband brought home from a coworker on a work trip. We need to rehome Bear due to his anxiety, health upkeep, and jealousy of our new baby. He’s not aggressive just feels left out so constantly putting himself in the way. We have had him for about 2 years. He is good with almost everything other than being alone. Good with older kids, dogs, and cats, although the cats do take a bit to warm up to. He does have a tad bit of separation anxiety so we kennel him while out. He listens well while off leash and thinks he’s a lap dog! It was recommended by our vet that he have TPLO surgery on both back legs due to stability issues with his knees. Unfortunately we cannot afford that so he has been on Rimadyl and Gabapentin for about the last year. For that I think Bear would be best suited with a chill, laid back family that will take him on short walks and have lots of cuddles on the couch.
