Story
HI - I'M OTIS! I'm a sweet and loving 5-1/2-year-old red-nose male Pit Bull Terrier in need of a foster or forever home. I was given up by my owners (for no fault of my own), and now am looking for new people to love me! I came from a home with another dog. I absolutely love human attention and affection, and would be great for someone who works from home. I can jump pretty high and would make a great agility dog. I love, love, love to cuddle, and will give kisses. I also love to chase tennis balls, and then tear them apart! I would do well with an active person or family with older kids. Can you foster or adopt me? I currently weigh about 53 lbs. I'm currently in California, but can be transported to you in North Dakota. Please email for an application.

Ollie gets along great with our much larger rescue dog (about the same age), and our very rambunctious 11 year-old son. Ollie really does love attention and snuggles; he will bury his muzzle in to stay warm and fall right to sleep. He LOVES food, so don’t leave it out! He is starting to learn more manners. He now sits patiently while his meal is prepared and will wait for his command to start. Ollie is wonderful on a leash. He also loves exploring and playing fetch in the run yard. A yard with established boundaries would be best, as he will test them.  Although he will come when called, he will see how far he can get. Ollie does well on car rides.  He will lean on your shoulder and watch the world go by.  He may not necessarily like the kennel but will go in if bribed with a treat.  Once in the kennel, again, although it’s not his favorite place to be, he will not fuss about it. Ollie is almost one week post-neuter- even the vet tech commented on how sweet of boy he is. He took his meds like a champ, we didn’t have to doctor them up with peanut butter or anything. He wore the cone of shame without issues for the first couple of days. It may have gotten damaged once he started getting more active, but nothing a little duct tape wouldn't fix. Ollie's favorite place to be is by your side, he is such a good boy and would be a great addition for any family, or anyone! To view additional dogs available for adoption, please see our website: www.4luvofdog.org December 15, 2025, 7:56 am

Story
HI - I'M SHIRLEY, and I'm a very special girl. I was clearly loved by someone once because I'm pretty chubby - I weigh about 93 pounds! I was impounded at a scary California shelter and while there, I rested patiently, just waiting for someone to notice me. I'm a 7-year-old Lab-Pit mix, so I figured it may take awhile, and sure enough I ended up being the shelter's longest resident. They kept me around for months because I am such a great, easygoing girl. I'm very quiet, mellow and I love human attention and affection. I'd make a great movie-watching buddy or snuggler. I truly need a foster or forever home. If you can open your home and heart to be, I would be so grateful. I'm currently in California, but can be transported to you in Fargo. Please email for an application.
