Story
Vaughn is a cute one-year old male American Pit Bull Terrier mix who was brought to the HSOV on November 29, 2022 by a Good Samaritan who found him in the 400 Block of Fifth Street in Marietta Ohio. Vaughn was wearing a nice collar (with a matching leash attached) but, unfortunately, there was neither an id tag nor a dog tag on his collar to enable us to locate his family ... And he was not microchipped. Vaughn has a dark brown/brindle short smooth coat, a long tail, and an adorable face with black shading, expressive brown eyes, and short semi-erect ears. This young man has a happy, exuberant personality and is quite active. Vaughn loves to 'play nip' in an attempt to encourage anyone nearby to engage in some fun-and-games. HSOV Kennel Tech Olivia Moretto accompanied Vaughn outdoors late in the afternoon he arrived and indulged him in some playtime (much to his delight). Vaughn weighs 52 lbs and is energetic on a leash. In compliance with the Ohio Revised Code, Vaughn will be held for three days so that his family will have an opportunity to reclaim him with proof of ownership. Since he was not reclaimed, Vaughn was neutered on February 14, 2023 and was also given rabies vaccine.

Story
Bonnie Marie is a beautiful 2-1/2 year old female Pit Bull Terrier mix who was surrendered by her owner on March 21, 2023 along with Bonnie's best friend (Myla May) because she was no longer in a position to give them the care and love that they needed and deserved. Bonnie Marie has a brown/brindle-and-white short smooth coat, a long tail, and an adorable 'phantom-of-the-opera' face with brindle markings on the right-hand side of her face, a milk chocolate nose, and short semi-erect ears. Her owner told us that Bonnie was good with children and also with other animals. We don't know if that includes cats as well as dogs since that was not specified. Bonnie has been kept indoors and is housebroken. Bonnie weighs 46.6 lbs and is energetic on a leash. These photos were taken shortly after Bonnie & Myla May's arrival and, since they didn't want to be separated, our HSOV Kennel Manager Rachal Merrow and our HSOV Assistant Manager Kati Rankin teamed up to take the girls out as a pair for their photo sessions. Bonnie has a happy, outgoing personality and was a social butterfly while Rachal helped her pose for pictures. Bonnie was interested in watching dogs being walked in the distance and couldn't understand why she couldn't join in the fun. Bonnie & Myla will be spayed before being adopted by their new family. These girls are very attached to each other, so we feel that it would be in their best interest to find another home together. Our volunteers have learned that Bonnie is an accomplished ball player when she and Myla are in our play yards (together of course) .. And Myla is the self-appointed cheerleader since she is content to relax and watch Bonnie play ball.

Story
Introducing Taz! Taz is a one year old pitbull terrier mix who was surrendered to the shelter through no fault of his own. He is the biggest, sweetest baby that you will ever meet. He likes to hold treats in his mouth for a few minutes before he actually eats them. He loves to give kisses, and he is beautiful and gentle, but he is a big boy so he is a bit strong to walk. Taz has already been neutered and is ready to go to his forever home!

Zeus is a 5y/o Pit Bull Terrier and is exceptionally well behaved! He is easy to harness and walk on leash. He loves to give kisses and be cuddled and will welcome lots of butt scratches! On walks, he does not seem to react to other dogs but would need to be tested with potential doggie housemate.
