Story
Thunder is a 7 year old pit bull. I adopted him from the shelter when he was 3. Thunder has anxiety and takes daily meds which help a lot. Generally Thunder is a great dog but he needs a home without any other pets. He is very easy to walk on leash. He’s very friendly with people of all ages. He’s always excited to go on a walk, a car ride or just spend time with people. He likes to snuggle and sleeps most of the day. On a nice warm sunny day he’ll lay out in the sun until it goes down. He’s in very good overall health. I’m hoping someone can love him and give him a nice life into his senior years.

Story
Big Daddy - a super handsome bully boy! Look at those gorgeous colors! This guy had been on the streets in an economically challenged part of Memphis, traveling around with some other dogs. While attempting to trap a female dog, Big Daddy was hanging around, so the rescuers were able to grab him as well—he went willingly. He's now been neutered, vaccinated and is living in a great foster home He's done great with other dogs right from the start. He's been introduced to cats in his foster home as well and did great - we will retest! He's also besties with a young boy living in the home.Big Daddy is very affectionate and is lapping up all the goodness that has come his way. Story
Meet Rory! this girl has the most beautiful grey/green eyes and the cutest freckles on her legs and stomach. And her tail doesn’t stop wagging.Rory was found with another canine, Lorelei (also for adoption), on a stormy Memphis day. Hungry and wet, the rescue had no trouble getting them to shelter. This girl had significant skin issues that TLC and proper nutrition have lead to healing. and since being with her foster has been separated from Lorelei for training. Rory is an energetic girl, but is shy around people right now and will roll on her side or lie flat. Her shyness doesn’t last long if you show her that you are a trusted human and it always help if you have a treat to give her. She would love a family who wants to keep working on her shyness and command training. Her treat motivation will definitely assist with both of those things .It appears that Rory had never been in a house or crate before being rescued. She is now learning crate and house manners. Rory runs and plays with the other dogs in her foster home and is cat curious, but not aggressiveThis boy would enjoy a family with another dog to play with or a family who wants an adventure buddy by day and cuddle buddy by night.Name: RoryBreed: Pit Bull Terrier/CrossbreedSex: FemaleAge: 6 months  (estimated)Weight: 36.0Spayed/Neutered: Vaccinations: Up to dateHeartworm: Negative on recent testingMicrochipped: YesBASED ON OUR OBSERVATIONS:Good with Children: Over 12, Small children would be too overwhelming now due to his shyness.  This could change once he feels more confident.Good with Dogs: YesGood with Cats: Yes, curious, but not aggressive. Story
Right from Pepsi's foster dad's lips: "Pepsi is lovely. She cuddles, loves walks, and also walks on her own. She listens well. Sometimes, you must tell her to stop because she loves playing with the other dogs. She has lots of energy. I have had NO issues with her at all." Penny came to Paws New England from the Memphis Animal Shelter, where she was sprung. It's so hard to write a bio for her because she's just so good! Her foster dad indeed can't find anything to see that isn't positive.Housetrained, great with kids and other dogs! Just an adorable girl.Name: PepsiBreed: Pit Bull MxSex: FemaleAge: 1 year  (estimated)Weight: 0.0Spayed/Neutered: YesVaccinations: Up to dateHeartworm: on recent testingMicrochipped: YesBASED ON OUR OBSERVATIONS:Good with Children: UnknownGood with Dogs: UnknownGood with Cats: UnknownAdoption Fee: $500.00  (includes transport fee when applicable)Location of dog currently:  New EnglandIMPORTANT INFORMATION - Paws New England is a foster-based rescue - our dogs reside in various locations throughout the south and New England.  Adoption donations cover pre-adoption vet costs (including vaccinations, spay/neuter when age appropriate, and heartworm testing/treatment when necessary), a microchip, and transportation to New England if necessary.Donations for our young, healthy puppies and dogs support their fellow canines of advanced age or suffering from injuries and abuse whose donations are reduced but whose veterinary costs are typically much higher. Story
Willamina is a calm and chill dog that can be also be spunky and fun-loving when she wants to be.This precious girl was found by a Good Samaritan as a stray in rural Mississippi. It was immediately noted that she had indentations on the right side of her head. A local vet felt that she may have had some sort of head trauma, but you would never know it because she is otherwise completely a normal dog!!Willa was also extremely underweight and at first, she seemed very wary of humans.A southern foster home was found for her and with TLC, she has begun to come out of her shell and show her truly wonderful personality. Such a transformation!! This girl now gets along well with dogs and loves to play!! She has not yet been exposed to kids, so we will say older children for now. Foster is confident that with her relaxed personality, she should be ok.Willamina is working on crate and house training and she is progressing nicely. If you want to be a part of her continued transition to becoming a loved family member living in a safe and secure home, Willa is your gal. And you will be rewarded with a lifelong sweet and adoring companion.Name: WillaminaBreed: Pit Bull Terrier/CrossbreedSex: FemaleAge: 4 years  (estimated)Weight: 40.0Spayed/Neutered: Will beVaccinations: Up to dateHeartworm: Positive on recent testing. Story
Meet Jackson Rain, a smart, playful, and bouncy boy with a heart as big as his energy! Rescued from a storm after being found huddled in discarded furniture outside an abandoned apartment, this lucky pup eagerly jumped into a Good Samaritan’s car, beginning his journey to a new, happy life. Now thriving in his foster home, Jackson is making up for lost time with boundless joy and playfulness. He loves romping around, chasing after toys, and, most of all, enjoying his food and treats, which makes him an eager participant in training sessions.Jackson is crate-trained and finds comfort in his crate, happily relaxing there after meals or settling in for a good night’s sleep. He’s making great progress with house training and rides well in the car without any issues. Currently fostered with two Huskies, Jackson gets along well with them and would do best in a home with older children, as his playful energy could unintentionally knock over younger ones. This lovable boy has a healthy love for chewing, but he sticks to his toys and hasn’t shown any destructive behavior—just be mindful of leaving shoes out! While he doesn’t have separation anxiety, he does need a good play session before being crated to ensure he’s content.Jackson Rain is looking for a forever home where he can continue to grow, play, and bring joy to his family.
