This name needs no explanation. Sonar is a 1 year old, male, Bully mixed breed looking for a foster or forever home. His ears are enormous, his legs are hilariously short, and we are absolutely obsessed with him. Energy is his love language and he will never pass up the chance to play. Sonar is always ready for a good time, loves people around people, and adores other playful dogs. Zoomies are his specialty and he is looking for an active family to give him enough exercise. He is a very good boy. He leans in for affection, soaks up attention like sunshine, and has that “let’s be best friends” enthusiasm that makes you feel good just being near him. Sonar’s joyful nature, goofy build, and giant radar dish ears make him impossible to forget and even harder not to love. He is ready to bring laughter, play, and a whole lot of heart to his new family. ADOPTION INFORMATION HOW TO GO ABOUT ADOPTING: - Come in during adoption hours to apply and fill out an application completely. We have applications on site. Open adoption hours take place at 44 Worthington Road in Cranston, RI. Autumn the Tripod's Story Meet Tripod Autumn. She lost her leg as a result of an injury, but she doesn’t let that slow her down one bit! Autumn loves to go on nice long walks and chase toys around the yard. Watching her chase tennis balls and jump after them, you’d never believe she wasn’t running on four legs! Autumn in a participant in our Shelter Dog Enrichment Specialist where she is matched to Sammi! Autumn came to us from unfortunate circumstances and needs a dog savvy owner, who can help her adjust to home life. She is very sweet once she gets to know you but takes a while to trust new people. She would likely need a few meet and greets before she is ready to go home. She will need to be the only animal in the home as she is not friendly with cats or dogs, likely as a result of her unfortunate circumstances before coming into our care. Story
Koda is 1 year 11 mo. male adopted from TX in May 2025. His predominant breed mix is 25% pit bull terrier, 24% beagle, 18% chesapeake bay retriever. Koda is a sweet "velcro" dog, absolutely devoted to his main person. He's used to +/- 1.5 hrs of exercise a day and his person working from home. No accidents in the house and asks to go out. Needs chew toys. He knows come, sit, leave it, wait, with decent recall when not distracted by his nose or preferred object. Loves tug of war, fetch in water. As he became attached to us, Koda developed protective behaviors. He has 2x lunged at and 1x bitten the coat of men he hasn't liked while on walks. He does not like visitors in the home. We are keeping him at distance from anyone outside the family atm and working w. a behaviorist. He will often be reactive to other dogs on the leash. Does get along with larger mellow dogs and would benefit from confident dog friend. Needs experienced dog person, strong leader to help him.

Angel's Story Angel is a big, handsome boy weighing around 80lbs, but he’s truly a gentle giant when it comes to people. He’s a lovable Lab/Rottweiler mix with a heart of gold. Angel walks wonderfully on a leash, making him a pleasant companion on strolls. While he’s sweet and affectionate, he does take a little time to warm up to new people, so patience is key when getting to know him. Angel is quite reactive toward other animals, which means he does need to be the only pet in the home. He needs a special person who understands how to manage his reactivity and can help him avoid other dogs, including on walks. Once Angel feels comfortable and builds trust with you, he transforms into a complete marshmallow! He’s incredibly food motivated, which makes him easy to train with his favorite treats. He enjoys sniffing around and discovering new smells, and while he’s moderately active, he enjoys walks and some playtime. We look forward to hearing from you. Clementine was returned to the rescue because her mom fell sick and passed away. She was the only dog at her house but wasn’t sure what to think about multiple dogs. At the time her foster mom had 2 puppies in a pen. Clementine felt safe with them and learned she was safe. The puppies showed her the way. Clementine learned how to go out the dog door and to play. From there she has grown in confidence.. she now likes to come up and ask for kisses and hugs. Clementine loves to play with the big dogs now but still not sure when you chase after her. She is your alarm system she likes to let you know someone is outside. She is not sure of strangers coming in but once she feels comfortable with them she comes up to see them and smell them… she is a sweet girl and would love to have her forever home.
