Story
Romeo was dumped at our storage facility, along with his siblings and we were lucky to have found them. He was sick with Parvo when we brought him into the shelter. We nursed him thru, and he has grown into a big, happy boy. However, he does have some trust issues that have to be overcome with new people. He is terrified of meeting new people, so he will need and experienced and patient adopter. He will be a great dog once out of his shell, because we here at the shelter get to see how great he is, because we see it everyday. Playful, loving, he will be a great pet for someone who gives him a chance. Recommend he be in a home with no small children...older kids ok, no cats. He looks like he is mixed with chocolate lab, and his eyes match his coat.

Story
Meet Chong – A Loyal Boy with a Big Heart! Chong is a terrier mix and the devoted brother of Shadow. Like his sister, he’s come through some tough times—but his resilient spirit and loving nature have never faded. Chong is calm, sweet-natured, and a little more confident than his sister, often taking the lead when exploring new places. He loves going for walks, lounging in the sun, and getting gentle scratches behind the ears. He bonds deeply with his people and thrives in a home where he can feel safe, appreciated, and included. Chong is dog-friendly and would do well either on his own or alongside another easygoing pup—especially if it’s his sister, Shadow. He’s looking for someone who understands that the best things in life sometimes take a little time and patience. With his warm eyes and steady heart, Chong is more than ready to be someone’s best friend.*To make an appointment to meet Chong, please complete your application at this link: https://PetsFurPeople.org/pre-application/ Follow it up with a phone call. Story
This beautiful girl is Siren! She is an extremely loving and a very loyal friend, we got her in April 2024 when she was just 5 weeks old and she's been with us ever since. She loves dogs of all sizes and cats as well, she also loves kids and anyone who will give her a good pat. She has never shown aggression towards any member of our household or any animal she's encountered. She really needs more exercise and space to run than our small home allows and we'll be adding a newborn to the family soon and we cannot afford to give her the care and attention she really deserves. She truly is a sweet girl and deserves to be with a family that will spoil her with play and exercise and loads of scratches. Siren has shared her home with our infant son and older cat, plus has played and spent plenty of time with older kids, small and large dogs and has always thrived with all the attention she gets from this large family! She loves long naps on the couch and meeting new friends on walks too.

Story
Buster is a sweet, 3-year-old mixed breed dog with the heart of a cuddle bug and the energy of a German Shepherd. He’s a wonderful mix of American Pit Bull Terrier, Australian Cattle Dog, Husky, German Shepherd, and Lab, giving him a unique and lovable personality. I adopted Buster from a shelter, and he’s been such a joy. However, due to my busy work schedule and life changes, I can no longer give him the attention he truly deserves. He’s looking for a new home with people who can provide him with the love, playtime, and exercise he needs to thrive. What Buster Needs: 1. A fenced backyard to run and play in 2.Active owners who will take him on walks and play with him regularly 3.A single-pet home (he’s happiest when he’s the only dog) 4.Someone who can continue working on his kennel training at night Buster is a very special boy with a lot of love and energy to share. He’s ready for his forever home with people who can match his active lifestyle and shower him with affection.

Story
Cash’s story hasn’t been an easy one. After his original owner passed away, Cash spent far too much time confined to a crate that was too small for him, with very little time outside. The other dogs in the home were semi-aggressive toward him, leaving Cash overwhelmed, stressed, and misunderstood. He was labeled “aggressive,” but the truth was much simpler: he just needed space, kindness, and time to decompress. And once he finally got that… everything changed. At the boarding facility, Cash slowly relaxed and revealed who he truly is — a playful, goofy, incredibly gentle big boy with a heart as soft as his back-scratch-loving soul. He’s strong, yes, but so good with people. He takes treats from a 3-year-old with the softest little nibble, melts under affectionate hands, and loves forming bonds at his own pace. Cash does best with slow introductions and thrives with female dogs or calm canine companions. He’s not a fan of intact males and can become overstimulated around them, but with the right match, he’s a wonderful playmate. Most of all, he’s deeply food motivated, loves to learn, and adores being included. Cash is waiting for someone who sees the beauty in giving a dog a second chance — someone who understands that love, routine, and time will bring out his very best.
