Romeo was dumped at our storage facility, along with his siblings and we were lucky to have found them. He was sick with Parvo when we brought him into the shelter. We nursed him thru, and he has grown into a big, happy boy. However, he does have some trust issues that have to be overcome with new people. He is terrified of meeting new people, so he will need and experienced and patient adopter. He will be a great dog once out of his shell, because we here at the shelter get to see how great he is, because we see it everyday. Playful, loving, he will be a great pet for someone who gives him a chance. Recommend he be in a home with no small children...older kids ok, no cats. He looks like he is mixed with chocolate lab, and his eyes match his coat.

Hello, We are a full time RV traveling family. We are in Canton, TX visiting my father who is not in great health. We travel with our two old labs and my parents have two dogs. We have been trying to rehome three pups that were dumped on our farm. We already have the 4 male dogs and are on standby with the Mayo clinic. We need to find these three sweet girls a home. We want them to be placed in different homes due to the pack mentality they have. We have introduced them to our dogs and that didn't go well since they were all together. Cookie will need someone to work with her on introductions to other dogs. We have been working with her the past 6 months on leash training and sitting. She is so awesome with my 10 year old and 15 year old. She has also been around my nephews that are 8. The dogs are up to date on shots and we have had them spayed. If you have room in your heart to work with Cookie and give her a loving home she will be a great addition to your family.

Noelle is currently in Fort Worth TX however she can get up to us in Nebraska. We do adopt out of the Nebraska and Texas area but ask that the adopter travel to pick up.    Noelle was formally known as Lucy (just named by the shelter when she came in) and was saved 10 days before Christmas. Noelle was a dog who caught our eye because her photo at the shelter was just of her darted asleep in a crate in the back of an AC truck. She had absolutely no chance of getting out of there, with that photo so we started working to help her. Thank goodness an amazing local volunteer stepped in to help with getting photos and networking her for a foster or rescue. A foster stepped up so we were happy to pull her. She has blossomed into a wonderful dog. She loves dogs, cats and chickens. She is such a unique looking lady and truly is just looking for a home to call her own where she can be loved and love her people unconditionally in return. ##1637902##
