Story
LOCATION: Seven Points, TexasDOB: 03/03/2021 (Estimate)Hi! My name is Eden. I'm an XL Bully mix. My parents fell on hard times and left me in a boarding facility. I'm a natural cuddle bug who prefers the house hippo life, so I'm not living my best life here. I get along well with the other dogs, but I play too hard with the little ones, so I'm kept with the big dog pack. New dogs make me a little nervous, but I've never been aggressive in my life. I ADORE people of all shapes and sizes and would love to find a family with kids or someone who works from home so that I get to maximize my fur glitter potential. I'm crate and potty trained, though I can be known to use my big-boy voice in the crate. I'm usually quiet when left alone to settle. If you have an empty couch cushion, I would be happy to keep it warm for you!========================= To apply to adopt me, please fill out the application form! https://form.jotform.com/51994996709176 .For more information, please email us at rescueme@srgdrr.org. Story
Romeo was dumped at our storage facility, along with his siblings and we were lucky to have found them. He was sick with Parvo when we brought him into the shelter. We nursed him thru, and he has grown into a big, happy boy. However, he does have some trust issues that have to be overcome with new people. He is terrified of meeting new people, so he will need and experienced and patient adopter. He will be a great dog once out of his shell, because we here at the shelter get to see how great he is, because we see it everyday. Playful, loving, he will be a great pet for someone who gives him a chance. Recommend he be in a home with no small children...older kids ok, no cats. He looks like he is mixed with chocolate lab, and his eyes match his coat.

Story
Oreo was found as a pregnant stray tied up outside a business in the Houston area. She was terrified, but very cooperative, I think she knew she needed to trust someone to give her babies a safe place to come into the world. She was a terrific mama to all six of her puppies! They have all found homes, but mama finds herself still without one...more than two years later. Oreo needs an experienced adopter or a female only household. It takes her a very long time to trust males. They terrify her and she barks aggressively, although she has never lunged or bitten anyone. She does come around and is loving once she knows the male means her no harm. She LOVES her people and wants to hang out with them, receiving hugs as she wiggles her whole body in delight. She is spayed, UTD on vaccinations and preventatives. She is also HW-. Oreo is crate trained, housebroken, and loves to run around outside as well. She really just wants to be with her person and is content wherever that is.

Story
Figgy is an adorable bull terrier or American Pitbull Terrier mix with a DOB estimate of 07/22/23. She’s not very big, only about 31lbs but she does have some more growing to do. She is shy, and very dependent on people. She doesn’t stray to far away from her foster parents while outside and she looks to them for comfort with any new situations! She’s learning how to walk on a leash, working on house training and crate training. She loves other dogs and would love a home with others to play with! She’s spayed, up to date on shots, and will have heartworm prevention, flea prevention and a microchip before adoption. Her adoption fee is $150.

Baloo is a goofy little dude who enjoys playing with other dogs. He loves treats and is easy to train! He seems to be house trained as well. He’s about 35/40 lbs and he is a Terrier mix. He hasn’t been around young kids or cats that we know of but he is very gentle and loving and we hope to assess him with both soon. He is neutered, up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative and microchipped. His estimated DOB is 06/01/2023.

Story
Please contact Tonya Griffith (TMSGriffith@aol.com) for more information about this pet.Posted 12/13/17 and pictures taken 11/29/17.  I picked Axel up from the Smith County Animal Shelter on 11/29/17.  He had been picked up on CR 3140 on 11/8/17 weighing 30 pounds, and estimated to be 4 years old.  He was scared in the kennel at the shelter.  Once out of the kennel, he was in my lap licking my face while I was signing his release papers, good on a leash, and likes going for rides.  I have let him run around several of my dogs with no problems, but can act dominant to some other male dogs.  He will be neutered on 1/5/2018.  He has not liked going potty in his larger kennel here, so there is a chance he might be house trained, but he does like to mark areas outside his kennel here. He is heartworm positive, and we will be doing slow kill for his treatment.  I have a page of instructions for using Ivomec for the slow kill that will go with his adoption if he is still positive when adopted.  He could be heartworm negative in 6 months. D.O.B.:     ? 2013Weight:     30.0 - 11/8/17 $25 adoption fee.  He had donations toward his vet care.April 24, 2024, 12:21 am
