Story
Cash’s story hasn’t been an easy one. After his original owner passed away, Cash spent far too much time confined to a crate that was too small for him, with very little time outside. The other dogs in the home were semi-aggressive toward him, leaving Cash overwhelmed, stressed, and misunderstood. He was labeled “aggressive,” but the truth was much simpler: he just needed space, kindness, and time to decompress. And once he finally got that… everything changed. At the boarding facility, Cash slowly relaxed and revealed who he truly is — a playful, goofy, incredibly gentle big boy with a heart as soft as his back-scratch-loving soul. He’s strong, yes, but so good with people. He takes treats from a 3-year-old with the softest little nibble, melts under affectionate hands, and loves forming bonds at his own pace. Cash does best with slow introductions and thrives with female dogs or calm canine companions. He’s not a fan of intact males and can become overstimulated around them, but with the right match, he’s a wonderful playmate. Most of all, he’s deeply food motivated, loves to learn, and adores being included. Cash is waiting for someone who sees the beauty in giving a dog a second chance — someone who understands that love, routine, and time will bring out his very best.

Story
Meet Katana 🐾💛 — an 8-year-old tan pittie mix with the softest soul and the gentlest heart. Katana is the kind of dog who just wants everyone to be happy, safe, and together. She loves being included and truly thrives as part of a family. Her greatest joys in life? Food (very important), cozy sweaters, snuggles on the couch, and soaking up love from her people. She’s affectionate, calm, patient, and friendly, with a shy side that makes her all the more endearing. Because her younger years didn’t give her many chances to just be a dog, Katana is still discovering play—and watching her realize that she’s allowed to have fun has been incredibly special. After everything she’s been through, her resilience shines through as her personality continues to bloom a little more every day. She currently lives peacefully with two dogs (a German Shepherd mix and a Heeler mix) and has done wonderfully, even when she felt overwhelmed at first. Now she greets them each morning like long-lost siblings 🥹. She’s also great in the car, obedient by nature, food-motivated, and very eager to please. Katana does need some basic manners training—not because she’s difficult, but simply because no one ever taught her. Even so, she’s already an excellent dog and ready to learn with the right person by her side. If you’re looking for a snuggly, gentle, loyal companion who will adore being part of your world, Katana just might be your perfect match. 💕

Story
Hi I am Marble! My birthday is November 13, 2019.  My foster home is located in Collin/Denton county. I weigh about 60lbs and knee high tall. I am looking for my forever home. My owner had to surrender me so they could get medical care out of state and now they are not coming back. I am a super happy, sweet and fun loving girl. I love being with my people. I am eager please and want to do my best. I listen very well also.  I love snuggling with you in bed and on the couch.  I have lots of energy so I need a home that will give me a lot of attention and exercise. I enjoy playing with balls and stuffed animals. I am a super vocal girl who makes a lot of different sounds. My foster mom says that I purr, coo and even sound like Chewbacca from Star Wars sometimes.  I am crate trained, mostly house trained and love riding in the car. I eat Purina One dog food and love dog treats and chew toys. I do okay with the cats in my foster home but I am not left unsupervised with them, my foster mom crates me when she is not home. I do well with other dogs after I am properly introduced to them. I get very excited when I see a new dog and can overwhelm them with my energy so I need to be introduced slowly and while being supervised. I love playing with the other dogs in my foster home. My foster mom says I will be fine as an only dog also. I have cats in my foster home but I am not left unsupervised with them. I would probably do better in a home without cats. I would love to be showered with attention and be the love of your life. Please consider adopting me. I promise I will be a loving and loyal companion to you. If you are considering adopting two dogs. please consider adopting me with my best friend, Sadie. Marble's foster home is located in the Denton County area. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. Anyone interested in our dogs/cats will be required to fill out an adoption application. We do not adopt to anyone living out of the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Story
Romeo was dumped at our storage facility, along with his siblings and we were lucky to have found them. He was sick with Parvo when we brought him into the shelter. We nursed him thru, and he has grown into a big, happy boy. However, he does have some trust issues that have to be overcome with new people. He is terrified of meeting new people, so he will need and experienced and patient adopter. He will be a great dog once out of his shell, because we here at the shelter get to see how great he is, because we see it everyday. Playful, loving, he will be a great pet for someone who gives him a chance. Recommend he be in a home with no small children...older kids ok, no cats. He looks like he is mixed with chocolate lab, and his eyes match his coat.

Story
✨ Meet Bridgett – from survival to second chance ✨ Just weeks ago, Bridgett was fighting to stay alive. Rescued from life on a chain in late February, she was severely emaciated at just 41 lbs — a heartbreaking shell of the dog she was meant to be. Today, thanks to a loving foster, she’s slowly healing and discovering what it means to live. 💛 Bridgett is learning everything for the first time — how to play, how to trust, how to just be a dog. She’s recently started playing (and it’s the sweetest thing!), and her tail hasn’t stopped wagging since she realized she’s safe. 🐾 Now thriving inside — crate trained and doing beautifully in the home 🐾 Calm, relaxed, and well-behaved indoors (she truly “gets it”) 🐾 Loves her outdoor playtime, but settles easily 🐾 Loves people and kids 🐾 Great with other dogs — enjoys being part of a pack 🐾 Learning manners quickly — understands “no,” “sit,” and “wait” 🐾 Doing great with house training (only one accident so far!) 🐾 Still a bit of a goofy toddler — playful, sometimes mouthy when excited, but responsive and learning 🐾 Mild prey drive (squirrels beware!) — likely best in a home without cats She’s gaining healthy weight, confidence, and stability every single day — and it’s incredible to watch her transformation. Bridgett is the kind of dog who just needed a chance… and she’s making the absolute most of it. She will be spayed soon and will begin heartworm treatment, so she’ll need a committed foster or foster-to-adopt home willing to continue supporting her journey. Bridgett is ready to give her whole heart to someone. All she needs is a home to keep showing her the way. 💕 📩 If you can foster or are interested in fostering to adopt Bridgett, please reach out!

Meet Soto!A Resilient Soul Ready for His Second Chance! Soto is a Pit Boxer mix with a big heart and a brave spirit. He came to us under tough circumstances—tied up at our front gate after his previous family could no longer care for him. Despite everything, Soto is holding onto hope for a new beginning with someone who will give him the love and patience he deserves. Soto can be wary of new people at first, but once he learns to trust you, his playful and affectionate side shines. He’s a total goofball when it comes to water, toys, and treats—those are definitely the way to his heart! Because of his cautious nature, Soto would do best in a calm, adult-only home (no kids under 16) and as the only pet. He thrives with structure, gentle guidance, and people who understand that good things take time. Soto is ready for someone who sees him not for his past, but for the amazing companion he can become.
