Story
Oolong is a 2-year-old neutered male cat adopted through a rescue. He’s affectionate in his own way—he’ll nuzzle your fingers, bump your hand with his nose, and quietly seek you out when he feels safe. However, Oolong struggles with emotional regulation. When overwhelmed or startled, he may growl, hiss, or occasionally bite—especially if touched unexpectedly or if he feels cornered. These behaviors are not malicious; they are fear-based reactions from a cat who hasn’t fully learned how to process stress. He also has occasional inappropriate bathroom behavior during high-anxiety moments. With quiet time, predictability, and clear boundaries, Oolong can be calm and even cuddly. He tends to do better with male humans, and would thrive in a patient, pet-free home with someone experienced in working with anxious or trauma-sensitive cats. I will provide his medical records and behavioral notes to help his new home understand his needs and past care. Supplies will not be included

Story
Kari and McSweeny are three year old siblings. They were adopted as kittens by my sister, who has now moved into assisted living and is unable to keep them. They are VERY large cats and extremely shy, the most timid cats I have ever known. Some of this shyness was exacerbated by living with a very yappy Chihuahua who chased them. The female will let us pet her and brush her at mealtime but the male absolutely does not. Both kitties are litter box trained and very quiet. We see them at mealtimes but very rarely otherwise. We would like to find them a loving home, preferably without dogs (or at least the yappy, prey driven kind). We are located in El Cerrito.

Story
We adopted Toby from a rescue shelter 10 years ago when he was 6 months old. It was an adoption fair and out of dozens of cats, Toby came to me and rubbed against my hand and we knew he was the one. Since then, he has been a loving companion to me & my wife. We had a kid last year and now we are relocating to Europe. We wish we could take him with us, but logistics and financials make it impossible. So we hope he will find a home where he is as loved as he was here. He is timid at first with strangers, however once warmed up, he loves to snuggle and sit on your lap. He is very gentle, to this day, he has never scratched either of us. Thanks to the good diet and care he had, he is still very active and healthy. Toby has been an indoor cat all his life. Ideal home for Toby would be where he is indoor and he regularly gets to be in the same room with you.

Story
Bell and Johnson are brothers born in August, adopted from the SPCA in December. They are both sweet kittens who love to play with each other. They are well behaved for the most part and have no issues with potty training, food, biting, etc. They do have an adorable little sneeze. I am looking to rehome them only because my work schedule has changed and I will be home a lot less and dont have time to care for them the way they deserve. They are affectionate, curious and loving. Like playing with wands, boxes and activity boards. Since they are a bonded pair I am looking to rehome them together. Bell is shy and will take a minute to warm up but once he does he is adventurous, sweet and likes belly rubs. Johnson will come say hi right away, likes to cuddle and is food motivated. I can offer a water fountain, food dispenser, toys, treats, litter box, cat condo, scratch pad, and more. I am eager to rehome them so please reach with Qs. Thank you for considering bringing them home.

Story
Meet Leo (aka Leo the Lion)! He is a 9-10-month-old grey tuxedo cat. He is very affectionate, playful, and super curious. I took him in after his mother (a black and white tuxedo cat) brought him to my front porch. Leo is well cared for and fed daily, but he is extremely food-driven and will try to eat anything (even after every meal). He also was passed down bacterial eye infection via his mother. No worries-- it can be cleared up with erythromycin ointment. I want to make sure that I am honest about that so there are no surprises. He is vaccinated (I can provide paperwork), but he is not nurtured or microchipped yet. I am hoping to find him a spacious and loving new home that matches his energetic spirit. Please feel free to reach out with any questions and I will be sure to answer them. Looking forward to speaking with anyone who feels that Leo would make the perfect addition to their home.
