Story
Meet Zero – Sweet, Gentle, Playful Girl Zero is a very sweet and extremely gentle cat. She’s a bit shy at first, but once she’s comfortable, she really enjoys being around you in her own quiet way. She loves to play and will happily chase toys, especially her favorite laser pointer and strings. She also enjoys belly rubs when she’s relaxed and feeling safe. Zero is a low-key, easygoing cat who doesn’t demand a lot—just her toys, a calm space, and her favorite Friskies meals. She would likely do best as the only pet or with a very easygoing companion.

Story
Very sad to have to have to give away our absolute snuggle bug, Moby. Shy at first but then will never leave your side. Wants as many pets as you’re able to give and will spend the entire day in your lap if you let him! ADORES his human companions, but must be a solo-pet, no exceptions. Having to part ways because once he grew out of being a kitten, he became aggressive with his brother. Zero problems with people, children, or babies EVER, just doesn’t want to share his parents with other animals Giving away along with toys, automatic feeder, and litter box. Story
I adopted my cat Olive from the Chicago Anti-Cruelty Society in December 2023, and she is 8 years old now. We are looking for a new home for her because my wife developed a pretty severe allergy to cats over time.Olive is a really special cat. She is missing seven teeth, so she eats an all wet food diet, and I would love for her future owner to keep that up. She is on the more sensitive side and really loves being brushed regularly. She is also extremely gentle and I have never seen her show any aggression toward people. Even with strangers, she warms up right away and is very cuddly. With other pets, I am not sure she would do very well. I once watched a family member’s cat for a couple of months, and Olive was just tolerant after a month, but at the beginning she was pretty scared and I had to keep them separated via a pet-gate.Overall, Olive is gentle, loving, a little sensitive, and very people-oriented. She would do best in a calm home where she can get lots of attention!

Story
Draco (and sister Aurora, who much be taken together) were adopted from a barn cat birth in Wisconsin. They are 2 years old now. He is a large cat with a small head, has kept his sweet kitten voice, and is incredibly affectionate. He is playful, bold, outgoing, and absolutely loves people. He is incredible good with small kids (2-3 year olds). He’s a star as the vet and travels well. He would get along with our other cats in the home, but his sister is more reserved and so we believe they should go together.

Story
Aurora (and her brother Draco, who need to be adopted together) were adopted from a barn cat litter in Wisconsin. She’s 2 years old now. She incredibly sweet and affectionate once you earn her trust. She can start a little shy and wary, but warms up quickly. She does struggle at the vet and needs to be medicated, but with medication (will provide list of meds when adopted) she does well. She tolerates young kids, but appreciates a spot where she can get away from the noise and take some alone time. She’s good with her litter box and very playful once you get her trusting you. She’s an incredibly kind cat and loves calm quiet adults.

Story
Sam is a sweet 1-year-old tabby who’s looking for a patient and understanding forever home. She’s a little shy and scared at first, but with a calm environment and time to adjust, Sam’s true personality will shine through. She may need some extra reassurance, but once she feels safe, she’ll show you her softer side and could become your most loyal companion. Sam enjoys quiet spaces where she can feel secure, and while she might not be the most outgoing right away, she’ll appreciate your gentle attention and patience as she settles in. She’s a beautiful and loving girl who just needs a little extra time to warm up. Sam might take some time to trust, but she’s worth the wait if you’re looking for a shy but sweet friend to share your home with. Could you be the calm, loving person Sam needs to help her feel safe and loved? Stop in and meet my cute self in person during our adoption hours. For more information, email info@ahconnects.org or call us at 847-697-2880 x: 0, and the staff will be happy to help you. Our cats and kittens go home spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on core vaccines, flea, and tick preventatives. Their adoption also includes a free-vet exam at one of our participating veterinarians.
