Story
Meet Bubby, the beautiful all-white 2-year-old cat who has recently joined our facility. We're still getting to know him, but one thing is clear: Bubby is an incredibly loving lad. He came to us as an owner surrender when his mom had to go into assisted living.Bubby previously lived with another cat, and we believe he would love to have a feline companion in his new home. Although he can be a bit shy at first, once you start petting him, he doesn't stop asking for more—he even drools with excitement! If you're looking for a gentle and affectionate cat who adores attention and would thrive with a furry friend, Bubby is the perfect addition to your family. If you are interested in meeting any of our animals, we encourage you to first visit our website and submit an adoption application: acskc.org/adoption/adoption-applicationOnce your adoption application has been approved, we will call you to set up an appointment to meet with the pet! We welcome adopters from out of state to apply! _When it comes to our pets, we're all-inclusive! Story
Shadow is very cuddly, lovable, silly, food motivated, curios with a small inkle of mischievousness. He loves to climb, chase the laser and be around people. He may be a little reserved in the beginning but as soon as he is comfortable, he warms right up. I believe he is around 4 or 5 yrs old and I was told he received all his initial shots. As of right now, he does not have any vet paperwork because it was an emergency re-homing and his previous parents did not provide any. If you are a person who loves to rescue an animal in need then Shadow is the perrrfect candidate. I would love to keep him but my landlord will not allow me to. He is an awesome cat and deserves a loving home and I don't want to surrender him to the shelter. Thank you for any consideration!

Story
Luna is a two year old American Short Hair who is highly intelligent, extremely vocal and loves to be held. She loves to be around people, and still has her kitten energy but can at times play a little rough. She requires attention and definitely has a mischievous side when you don't give her enough of it.

Story
Sissy was a kitten when brought in from outside by my mother who recently passed away. She is a one person cat who will not come out for anyone but my mother. she hides in an eaves area and will have to be trapped to get her out of the house. She is about 8 yrs old and has been in the house for by herself (I am intermittently there and have her fed when I’m not) for 4 months. She was glued to my mother but will need a lot of work with someone new. Very heartbreaking situation for this cat.

Story
Her name is Beans, she’s a one year old tortoiseshell American shorthair. She’s very sassy and independent but loves to talk. She’s extremely aggressive and does not do well with other animals and people in general. She loves to climb (on stuff AND people) and likes to chew on string. We thought we could take care of her but her behavior is too erratic, even after getting spayed, so a more experienced cat owner is definitely a better fit for her. She prefers wet food over dry food but will eat it if it’s mixed. She’s not a fan of bells and chimes and likes string and feathers better.

Story
Kapha and Pitta were showed up together at a rural home in Ohio in the fall of 2017. Both thought to be less than a year old, I tried to help find a home for them and eventually became their home. When I had to leave Ohio in 2022, I had to ask friends to take them in and thankfully found a temporary home, but now that home will no longer be available. I would be delighted if they could find a home together. Kapha, the big boy, enjoys heavy flops, chest cuddles, sleeping between legs, and giving chase to laser pointers, feathers, and friends. He loves to eat. In 2020, he had urinary crystals, but has been on prescription food since and has not had problems. Pitta is the sweet but largely aloof princess who will occassionally bless you with cuddles. She prefers warm spots to sit. Both love watching the outdoors and occassionally exploring it if you're open to that.

Story
Covie is a very sweet cat. She loves to cuddle and drool on you. She will follow you around and meow for your attention. We acquired Covie through someone on Nextdoor that was needing to rehome her because of personal reasons. We love animals and thought she would just fit right in. Unfortunately, she is very anxious around a busy environment and other animals. We have 4 boys, 2 other cats, and a dog. She hasn’t adjusted well and stays hidden away most of the day and night. She doesn’t get along with other animals. She’s not aggressive toward them at all, but rather stays hidden away. After a long time and careful consideration it’s clear she is not living her best life here with us. She needs a quieter and calmer environment with no other pets. There is nothing medically wrong with her that we are aware of. We are not 100% sure of her age (she’s around 5 yrs old), and she will need to be seen by a Vet for updated shots and exam.
