Story
Stevens is a 14-year old female tortoise shell. She lives indoors only, except for occasional opportunistic dashes outside when a door is accidentally left ajar. She has lived with a dog (black lab) for the last 8 years and children for the last 6 years. She generally keeps her distance from both the dog and kids, preferring to isolate rather than interact, but she always choose flight and not fight whenever the kids get a little too interested in her. She's never scratched any of the children. She's affectionate with adults. She uses the litter box but has recently started having some occasional accidents in places she shouldn't such as piles of laundry or towels on the floor. We've taken her to the vet for this issue and they found no physical reason for the behavior. We're assuming its stress from and living with multiple small children and are hopeful a new environment would allow her to live out her golden years in relaxation.

Story
We are looking for an adopter with a rescue heart who will give this sweet, quiet kitty the forever home fate has cruelly denied her. Redux has made wonderful progress at the shelter and will thrive in a calm home where she will be an excellent companion. A home with retirees or a single working person would be ideal. All of our cats and kittens are rescues. They are mixed breed unless otherwise noted. If a cat or kitten is designated as a particular breed we do not have papers to verify the breed information. We assign breeds to our cats and kittens based on similar appearance, size, and temperament as described in the breed description of a purebred cat. Our adoption fee is $120.00 for kittens under 1 year (2 for $200), $100 for cats over 1 year (2 for $180), and $150 - $250 for exotic breed cats or kittens. We do not have our own spay/neuter clinic so the adoption fee we charge helps our rescue pay for a portion of vet fees incurred to prepare a cat or kitten for adoption. The adoption fee includes a wellness exam, spay or neuter, age appropriate vaccinations, FeLV and FIV testing (negative/negative unless otherwise noted), treatment for parasites (fleas, ticks, intestinal worms, ear mites), and microchipping.

Story
Figaro showed up at a community cat colony behind a gas station, bewildered and alone. He had clearly been someone's cat as he was so friendly! Thankfully, he was rescued and is with CRU. This 14 pound loveable lug gets along great with people and non-dominant cats. Figaro may also adjust to dogs with proper introduction. His best placement will be a calm home where he can shower affection on his adopters. All of our cats and kittens are rescues. They are mixed breed unless otherwise noted. Our adoption fee is $120 for kittens under 1 year, $100 for cats over 1 year, and up to $250 for exotic breed cats or kittens. The adoption fee we charge helps our rescue pay for a portion of vet fees incurred to prepare a cat or kitten for adoption. Our cats receive a wellness exam, spay or neuter, age appropriate vaccinations, FeLV and FIV testing and a microchip.

Story
Lance is a neutered 5 year old male. During his neutering, he experienced a medical emergency that caused him to become blind after the procedure. He can sense light but not full images. He is potty trained, but if he is not able to find his box, he will eliminate elsewhere. He is needing a home where he can roam around freely. He is a very loving cat, has the cutest meow and paws. We love Lance, but we are not able to keep up with him and cleaning.

Story
Adopted her in 2024, due to life changes, I'm not able to care for her anymore. Very chatty and stubborn but slowly warms up to you if you give her wet food and treats. She is litter box trained and will go elsewhere if not cleaned regularly. Likes scratching posts, string and feather toys, and head rubs. She likes to follow you around and rub on your legs and will chirp for attention. She likes to lay on couches and beds, mainly near windows, and will lay next to you if enough trust is earned. Doesn't like being picked up and is sensitive to loud noises.Shes up to date with all shots, no health issues.
