Story
I brought Sunny home as a kitten almost 5 years ago, he was born to another cat in the family. Sunny is a sweet, content, and curious cat who enjoys napping under warm blankets. He loves stomach rubs and random games of fetch (even though he never brings the ball back). Since Sunny has a little anxiety, we are hoping for a quiet home for him where he can feel safe and relaxed. Born: September 18, 2019

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Please note that we can not guarantee the age, expected weight or breed of any animal. What we provide is our best estimates based on our experience and the information provided by the our medical partners. If breed and eventual size are of great importance we suggest looking into a breed specific rescue or adopting a full grown animal. Unless otherwise noted, ALL animals are fostered and available for adoption on Long Island, NY.  Meet JACK. Our vet reached out about Jack when they found out that his owners wanted to euthanize a very healthy boy just because they were moving and he doesn’t like the car. We of course jumped in and made it so that never happened! Now this sweet boys life is turned upside down and he has now been uprooted from his home and at our vet until he we find him a foster or forever home. He is such a sweet boy and deserves a home that isn’t going to leave him behind all because they are moving. JACK does require S/O food due to a history of urinary stones. But since his diet, he has had no problems! This sweet boy just wants a home, will that be you?    This baby is spayed/neutered, UTD on vaccinations, is FIV and FeLV/Feline Leukemia Negative, and ready to find a soft spot to land and enjoy a family!   we are a foster based organization located on Long Island, NY. We do out of state adoptions within a reasonable diatance. Please visit LCARescue.org for an application or more information!  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. At the time of adoption a donation is required before the animal is placed in an adoptive home.     $600 - All dogs  $300 - For dogs deemed seniors by LCAR (generally 8rs and older)  $200- For senior citizens (over 65 yrs of age) adopting senior dogs   $150 - For Kittens $125 - For Cats    *IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN THIS ANIMAL, PLEASE SUBMIT  AN ADOPTION APPLICATION  ( Dog / Cat )  AND ONCE APPROVED, SOMEONE FROM THIS ORGANIZATION WILL CONTACT YOU. Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Ms Tuna was formerly Bideawee's leading lady. She is a very cute silver tabby that has a unique personality to match her distinctive name. She was rescued off the streets of New Jersey in November of 2012 and was living at Bideawee. She is hoping to find her forever home at the Foundation. She enjoys being around people but prefers affection on her own terms. Once she is comfortable around you and in a relaxing environment, Ms. Tuna loves being scratched behind the ears. She is chatty and knows how to get what she wants. She would do best with an experienced cat owner who understands her independent nature. She would also do best in a quiet household. She would prefer to be the only cat, but might ok with another serene feline.

Story
Here’s Herbie, my beautiful, smart 3 year old cat. I adopted him two and a half years ago from a shelter in New Fairfield. He loves to snuggle. He and I have spent lots of time together with him on my chest or on my legs, purring away. He waits for me at the door when I go out. Herbie loves food and I have been able to teach him a couple of tricks using the clicker method and rewarding him with treats. He needs lots of attention. He likes to play; for example, to chase down plastic spring-y toys. But doesn’t like anyone to touch his feet and he hates being in the car. Although most of the time he is a loving, lovable pet, Herbie bites, which is why I’m sadly giving him up.
