Story
Tulip gave birth outdoors to 5 kittens on 4/22/25. Since raising her kittens, mom is slowly adjusting to living inside and exploring the house. People can be scary, but she does enjoy scratches on occasion. Tulip tolerates dogs, but if necessary, will tell them to back off. Tulip is an independent girl and her family will need to give her time and be patient while she adjusts to her new living conditions. Tulip will be spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped prior to adoption. She is being fostered in Madison, AL.

Story
Looking for a home for a sweetheart of a kitty. A friend had a house fire and we thought we could adopt one of his cats. Turns out, as wonderful this boy kitty is around people he’s not so much around other cats. He’s meant to be in a one cat family… Here's what we know about "BoyKitty/Phil" He got dumped at our friend's house about a year ago. He never got along with his cats. He looks about 1-2 years old. We had him vaccinated. We will give papers to adopter. He is not fixed. As we had hoped to keep him we would have paid for neutering anyway so we would be willing pay those fees. To humans he is sweet. He likes to meow but not overly obnoxious about it. He's around 10 lbs. Hard to tell as we have big boys. Definitely weighs less than our smaller cat who weighs 15 lbs.

Story
PEEWEE IS IN HER FOSTER HOME IN MEMPHIS TN AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED TO CT ONCE SHE IS ADOPTED! This is PeeWee, a lovely small classic female kitty who was born around 6/28/2023.  She is a bit shy and reserved, but loves to roll over for a belly rub She loves NAPS under the covers.  She loves to be petted while on your lap.  The perfect work-from-home companion kitty.  She loves to play and loves all cat toys and is definitely loads of fun. She could probably be a single kitty, but would also do well with a friendly low-key kitty.  She has never been around dogs and is not recommended for a dog home. She is neutered, has had all age appropriate vaccines, microchip, and a confirmed NEGATIVE FIV/FeLV test.  The adoption fee of $295 also includes the transport.  We use a licensed and registered USDA transport company that will bring her up north once she is adopted. If you are interested in adopting, please go to our website and complete an online application using this link: http://www.newbeginningsanimalrescue.net.   Once your application is received and processed you will be contacted by an NBAR Volunteer. THANK YOU FOR CONSIDERING ADOPTING A RESCUED PET! Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 5, 2024, 1:30 pm

Story
Linus is a one-year-old short-haired handsome boy. Linus's life started out rough, being feral for the first two months of his life. Linus is at a foster home, not at our shelter. His foster says "Linus has adjusted well with human contact and other cats. He is extremely shy at times, but does like attention and accept pets on his terms. He loves food, treats and is very playful with the rest of the cat clan. Linus will do well as a solo pet or with other cats, but will need time to adjust to his new surroundings in any situation. Linus has not been introduced to dogs or children and not sure how he would react to either." Linus is vaccinated, microchipped, neutered and healthy. His adoption fee is $175. If you would like to meet/adopt Linus, please complete our online application at https://daws.org/daws-forms.
