Story
Murphy is my mother's cat. My mother is in an assisted living facility which allows pets. However, my mother is no longer capable of adequately caring for Murphy. I live in another state and cannot take Murphy because my wife is allergic to cats. Murphy is a sweet, mellow, indoor lap cat. I think Murphy is about 10 years old.

Story
This sweet little boy is timid at first but warms up to you quickly. He likes to play with a long rope and will bat at it if you hold it above him. He loves to be scratched and will purr when he's content with affection. He and his sister were living with an elderly woman that can no longer care for them. They liked to go outside during the day and then cuddle inside at night. They lived in a very rural area with plenty of room to run around and hunt mice in the field, so outdoor city life may not be the best environment for them. They have been together since birth so the ideal home would be able to accommodate both of them. They are about 4 years old and both have been spayed/neutered. They are currently nestled inside my garage, due to allergies in my home. With the warmer days approaching, I am desperately seeking a loving home for them.

Story
I found my cat last year in a barn and took him in as I couldn’t find a home for him and he was a kitten. My pet is around 1 year 3 months old. He is very sweet and cuddly and loves to play. He’s gentle with children and other cats.

Story
Meet our foster Tony, a very social, talkative, playful lap kitty. Tony is about 2 years old, uses a litter box, is neutered, and up to date on all his shots. This marks a fresh beginning for Tony. Rescued from a feral cat colony, where volunteers suspected he was abandoned, Tony has proven himself to be far from feral. Despite the challenges of outdoor living, he is now a fully adjusted indoor cat. He loves playing with his feather toys, hanging with his people, and talking to you in his cute little voice. He is a social cat and even when unfamiliar guests are over, he doesn’t run and hide. Unfortunately, Tony tested positive for feline leukemia. Despite his diagnosis, you would have no idea Tony has the disease as he is healthy and active. We are looking for an adopter with a big heart that can provide Tony with a loving, stress-free, indoor home environment. He could potentially make for a good companion cat for another cat with leukemia.

Story
Little gal started showing up during feeding time at the farm I used to work at. Her mom and a couple others from the litter were in an abandoned building down the road. Very friendly for a feral so I got her spayed, microchipped and vaccinated. Been keeping her in my garage/basement when when it is cold, and otherwise she has been mostly a barn cat. Excellent mouse/vole hunter, but also indiscriminately murders any other wildlife for fun. She likes being outdoors but also very happy to be indoors sitting on a lap. She loves eating all sorts of things she should not eat out of the compost pile, and using garden beds as a litter box (but she will use litter box when indoors!). I recently took on a new job so feel I cannot give her the attention she deserves and that she would be better appreciated at another home. Born around 3/2022, weighs around 7lb. She likes hanging out with goats, dogs, cats, and humans that give her food and affection. Responds to her name (pronounced way-SUH)

Story
I'm looking to rehome one of my girls unfortunately because she isn't a fit for my home even after trying for months! She has been spayed and is up to date on all vaccines. She was originally adopted from Asheville humane society in fall of 2023 as a few month old kitten, Mavis has blossomed into a shy but spicy and affectionate girl. She enjoys sitting up high in a cat tree, making biscuits in a soft blanket and cuddling frequently but on her own terms. She is eating open farm kitten food because she suffered stomach issues initially from other brands including hills science diet but the vet did say that she would likely outgrow her sensitive stomach. She has had another cat companion for as long as l've had her but she does not enjoy rough play! I'm unsure if she needs to a single cat or if she might need a calmer less territorial counterpart. Mavis tends to be easily stressed out and skiddish. She would do well in a calm home. She has never been outside, around children or dogs.
