Once I felt confident around her, I became very loving and turned on my purr motor full blast to tell her so! Now I’m very friendly with her and run to greet her at the door so I can plant my pheromones on her feet and legs. Big and Tall, friendly, people-loving catI am a gentle giant and confident cat. I like to cuddle and snuggle with my human. I love attention, being petted, belly rubs and lot of treats I walk funny, sometimes it is hard to control my back legs and they go to the sides. it looks like I am dancing Can-Can. The vet said I am a 'wobble baby', that means I was born with a condition that affects my balance. I don't remember being different, my legs don't bother me to walk, play or using the litter box. I have good litter box etiquette, I just walk and jump funny. I could walk and run everywhere I want in the house. I have a normal life like other cats. EASY-GOING LOVEBUG  DOB 9/1/21 Howdy everyone! I’m Indy, a handsome, easy-going black DSH/ Bombay mix dude with a sleek, shiny patent-leather coat and big, copper-penny eyes. It took me a while to learn that being petted, chin scratches, and lap time with my foster dad might just be a good thing. My momma Luna led the way, so I started curling up on my foster dad’s warm chest for a quick power nap and discovered that it was pretty delightful. My favorite pastimes include following my foster dad into the bathroom (Bombay mixes can be very dog-like), looking handsome, and watching the world go by as I bask in a patch of sunshine on a windowsill. DEMANDS ENDLESS HOURS OF LOVING ATTENTION  DOB 1/11/23 Hey everyone! I’m Tomm, a very quiet, calm, and handsome – if I do say so myself – 12-pound Bombay mix fella with a sleek, shiny black patent-leather coat and big golden-globe eyes. I’m one of those Velcro boys who loves to stick close to Foster Meowmy where I can demand endless hours of gentle stroking and loving ear-scritches. My brothers Jerry, Jax, and I, a.k.a. #3-mousketeers, were less than a year old when we showed up as homeless strays in Foster Meowmy’s neighborhood. Initially she trapped, neutered, and released us. After about a year of feeding us, when her last foster kitten had been adopted, she decided that, with a little time and patience, we’d make wonderful indoor companion pets. It did take a while for her to earn my trust, but once she did (thanks to treat rewards!), I’m now all hers!! Boy howdy! With 20-20 hindsight, I much prefer brimming food/ water bowls and climate-controlled indoor life. My foster home is like an oasis from battling Houston’s derechos, hurricanes, and winter storms. The hardscrabble outdoor life is for the birds! I have some catching-up to do as a young adult fella because playing with toys is an all-new adventure for me! But I’ll get there! SHINY PATENT-LEATHER COAT AND COPPER-PENNY EYES  DOB 9/7/25 Hey there, everyone! I’m Mark, a sweet, friendly, and affectionate Bombay mix fella with a sleek, shiny patent-leather coat and copper-penny eyes. I’m a Velcro kitty who's very attached to my hoomans and adore spending quality time with them – whether it’s cuddling or following them around to help with their chores. Innately curious, I explore every nook and cranny around my foster home. A Good Samaritan spotted some apartment kids playing with my sister Peace and me when we were just two weeks old. She snatched us away from the kids and brought us to Foster Meowmy, who tag-teamed with other HOPE volunteers to bottle-feed us day and night until we were weaned. Being handled so much while I was young helped me to love and trust hoomans so much.
