EASY-GOING LOVEBUG  DOB 9/1/21 Howdy everyone! I’m Indy, a handsome, easy-going black DSH/ Bombay mix dude with a sleek, shiny patent-leather coat and big, copper-penny eyes. It took me a while to learn that being petted, chin scratches, and lap time with my foster dad might just be a good thing. My momma Luna led the way, so I started curling up on my foster dad’s warm chest for a quick power nap and discovered that it was pretty delightful. My favorite pastimes include following my foster dad into the bathroom (Bombay mixes can be very dog-like), looking handsome, and watching the world go by as I bask in a patch of sunshine on a windowsill. My favorite likes are dry food, toys with tassels, and warm beds.  Arrange to meet me today. Find out if YOUR chest could be my next napping station! https://photos.app.goo.gl/9LhdD26NmAhzMUtGA HOPE ID 21-1204-C089 Indy's $125 adoption fee includes spay/neuter, basic vaccines, microchip and registration, testing for FIV/FeLV, negative fecal test, and preventative treatment against fleas and parasites. DEMANDS ENDLESS HOURS OF LOVING ATTENTION  DOB 1/11/23 Hey everyone! I’m Tomm, a very quiet, calm, and handsome – if I do say so myself – 12-pound Bombay mix fella with a sleek, shiny black patent-leather coat and big golden-globe eyes. I’m one of those Velcro boys who loves to stick close to Foster Meowmy where I can demand endless hours of gentle stroking and loving ear-scritches. My brothers Jerry, Jax, and I, a.k.a. #3-mousketeers, were less than a year old when we showed up as homeless strays in Foster Meowmy’s neighborhood. Initially she trapped, neutered, and released us. After about a year of feeding us, when her last foster kitten had been adopted, she decided that, with a little time and patience, we’d make wonderful indoor companion pets. It did take a while for her to earn my trust, but once she did (thanks to treat rewards!), I’m now all hers!! Boy howdy! With 20-20 hindsight, I much prefer brimming food/ water bowls and climate-controlled indoor life. My foster home is like an oasis from battling Houston’s derechos, hurricanes, and winter storms. The hardscrabble outdoor life is for the birds! I have some catching-up to do as a young adult fella because playing with toys is an all-new adventure for me! But I’ll get there! Could you be the next person who snakes the wand-toy around the room for me to chase or waves it over my head to lunge at? Or perhaps you have a tower of balls to enrapture me? Catnip mice and crinkle balls for me to display my talents as a soccer striker? Then I’m the man for you! Although we’re available separately, please consider adopting me with Jax. He’s shy and initially fearful, but, as his BFF, I help make him feel safe. Arrange to meet me (and Jax, for that matter!) today! I can’t wait to meet you! SHINY PATENT-LEATHER COAT AND COPPER-PENNY EYES  DOB 9/7/25 Hey there, everyone! I’m Mark, a sweet, friendly, and affectionate Bombay mix fella with a sleek, shiny patent-leather coat and copper-penny eyes. I’m a Velcro kitty who's very attached to my hoomans and adore spending quality time with them – whether it’s cuddling or following them around to help with their chores. Innately curious, I explore every nook and cranny around my foster home. A Good Samaritan spotted some apartment kids playing with my sister Peace and me when we were just two weeks old. She snatched us away from the kids and brought us to Foster Meowmy, who tag-teamed with other HOPE volunteers to bottle-feed us day and night until we were weaned. Being handled so much while I was young helped me to love and trust hoomans so much. I grew up to be a healthy, happy little boy who tumbles and pounces, climbs and wrestles with my sister Peace as well as the half-dozen other foster kittens who are all about my age. Plus the adult resident cats served as my surrogate aunts and uncles because they taught me everything momma would've taught me if she'd been around. Now I’m ready to bring my winsome friendliness and loyal companionship to bless my forever family. Could that be you? If you’re looking for a pair of kittens, consider adopting me with my sister Peace. Or just ask Foster Meowmy if you can take your pick of another of her half-dozen foster kittens. Although I’m available separately, I think it’d be the cat’s meow if another kitten I already know could be my playmate and cuddle buddy while you’re at work or on vacation. Arrange to meet me today! HOPE ID 25-1026-G261 Mark’s $125 adoption fee includes spay/neuter, basic vaccines, microchip and registration, testing for FIV/FeLV, negative fecal test, and preventative treatment against fleas and parasites. GOES WILD OVER CATNIP  DOB 8/3/19 Hey there, everyone! I’m Pancake, a sweet, affectionate, and cuddly Bombay mix fella with coper-penny eyes who loves to snuggle either in Foster Meowmy’s lap or against her thigh as we binge on Netflix together. It’s so relaxing for her gently to massage all over my body, and I’ll hang out with her as long as she’s willing to pet me. I even enjoy belly rubs, which is unusual for a cat. I overheard Foster Meowmy tell someone recently, “Pancake is a gentleman in every way.” I guess you’d say that I’m a Gentle Giant because I’m extra-large, but the way I look at it, you’ve just got more to hug! Despite my plus-size, I’m somewhat playful, and catnip makes me go crazy!! My brother Waffle and I find ourselves homeless through no fault of our own. We had been happily living with the lady who adopted us as kittens, but unfortunately, when she passed, her husband felt unequipped to care for us alone. Thank heavens HOPE stepped in and found us a foster meowmy to cherish us like our first meowmy until we can find another home. Now I’m ready to bring my gentle, loving disposition and friendly “hulk” to cuddle with my forever family. Could that be you? Arrange to meet me today. Although Waffle and I are available separately, if you’re looking for a pair of affectionate gents, please consider adopting us together.   DOB 4/13/25 Hey there, everyone! I’m Jupiter, a sweet, loving, and very playful Bombay mix gal with copper-penny eyes and a sleek, shiny black-patent leather coat who can be a little shy at times. I have a little ritual every morning in that I come to Foster Meowmy for love and cuddles. Although a lot of my siblings like to be held tummy-up like a baby, I prefer for Foster Meowmy to hold me to her chest with my paws over her shoulder. And whereas my siblings seem to love being held endlessly, I start nibbling on Foster Meowmy if she holds me too long! After my feral momma birthed Karma, Jupiter, Opal, and me outside of Foster Meowmy’s house, she moved us to inside a neighbor’s car (through the open window, I might add). Then Meowmy moved us to a box on her porch, but when Momma saw some neighbors pick us up, she moved us a few doors down to a used-car business. Imagine Foster Meowmy’s surprise when she looked inside an old car and found not only us under the driver’s seat but also another litter of four kittens under the passenger’s seat!! She gathered up both of our stowaway litters and carefully placed us in boxes on her porch so that we could safely nurse. Our mommas continued to move us multiple times, and Foster Meowmy always managed to find us and put us back in our weaning boxes. Finally, when we were five weeks old and could eat on our own, Foster Meowmy brought us all inside to the safe haven of her home where she could care for all of us. She even was the perfect feline Florence Nightingale when she administered antibiotic ointment to some of our crusty eyes. Now that we’re fat and sassy, you can imagine the kitten mayhem that goes on inside our big foster bathroom! We tumble and pounce, climb and wrestle, and when we’re exhausted, we collapse in a kitten puddle. We’ve all got a little mischief in our genes because we love to escape the foster bathroom, but I’m usually the mastermind who comes up with the most ingenious way to escape our foster bathroom and lead my siblings behind me. And once I am loose in the house, I’m very good at hiding so Foster Meowmy can’t return me to the bathroom. I love Foster Meowmy and am so grateful that she gave me a chance at the fabulous indoor life of a pampered pet. Now I’m ready to bring my “snips-and-snails-and-puppydog-tails” boyishness and rowdy playfulness to my forever family. Arrange to meet me today, and if you’re looking for a pair of kittens, please consider adopting me with one of the other seven #car-stowaways. VELCRO KITTY WHO LOVES TO CUDDLE  DOB 4/1/25 Hey there, everyone! I’m Onyx, a sweet, loving, and very playful Bombay mix fella with copper-penny eyes and a sleek, shiny black-patent leather coat. Bombays are often called Velcro cats because we like to stick so close to our hoomans, and I am always delighted to spend time cuddling with Foster Meowmy any chance I can grab. You see, I have to share her time and attention with my three littermates as well as another litter of four kittens. Here’s the story: My feral momma birthed Obsidian, Jasper, Topaz, and me underneath the seat of an old car parked in a used-car business . Foster Meowmy’s finding us when we were only about three weeks old might never have happened if she hadn’t been trying to rescue the other set of kittens whom another feral momma had birthed outside of Foster Meowmy’s house. The other momma had moved her litter from Meowmy’s yard to inside her neighbor’s car (through the open window, I might add) and ultimately a few doors down to the used-car business. Imagine Meowmy’s surprise when she found not only the kittens she’d been tracking under the driver’s seat but also my litter under the passenger’s seat!! She gathered up both of our "stowaway" litters and carefully placed us in boxes on her porch so that we could safely nurse. Our mommas continued to move us multiple times, and Foster Meowmy always managed to find us and put us back in our weaning boxes. Finally, when we were seven weeks old and could eat on our own, Foster Meowmy brought us all inside to the safe haven of her home where she could care for all of us. She even was the perfect feline Florence Nightingale when she administered antibiotic ointment to some of our crusty eyes. Now that we’re fat and sassy, you can imagine the kitten mayhem that goes on inside our big foster bathroom! All eight of us tumble and pounce, climb and wrestle, and when we’re exhausted, we collapse in a kitten puddle. I love to sleep in the bathroom sink because it’s my favorite “bed” when I need a little “time out” from the kitten frenzy. We’ve all got a little mischief in our genes because we love to escape the foster bathroom so we can play with the resident two-year-old cat and explore Foster Meowmy's bedroom. I love Foster Meowmy and am so grateful that she gave me a chance at the fabulous indoor life of a pampered pet. Now I’m ready to bring my stunning good looks and affectionate cuddling to my forever family. Could that be you? Arrange to meet me today, and if you’re looking for a pair of kittens, please consider adopting me with one of the other seven #car-stowaways. We think it’d be the cat’s meow if we could be adopted together so we could be playmates and cuddle buddies while you’re at work or on vacation. HOPE ID 25-0614-A041 Onyx’s $125 adoption fee includes spay/neuter, basic vaccines, microchip and registration, testing for FIV/FeLV, negative fecal test, and preventative treatment against fleas and parasites. To apply online: http://www.homelesspets.net/adoption-forms/cat-adoption.php If you have questions prior to filling out the application or want to find out which adoption site Onyx will be this weekend, email us at nancy.e.kline@hotmail.com, and a volunteer will get back to you.    October 6, 2025, 3:55 pm

MELTS IN YOUR ARMS WHEN YOU HUG HIM  DOB 8/1/24 Hey there, everyone! I’m Hermes, a friendly, loving, and easygoing solid-white fella except for the gray thumbprints on the crown of my head. My big gold-coin eyes half-close in ecstasy and I melt in Foster Meowmy’s arms when she holds and hugs me. I trust her so much that I roll over to invite her to give me the gentle belly rubs that I enjoy so much. I’m the largest of my litter, so I’m a big eater who doesn’t even mind when she pets me while I’m dining. I run up to greet her when she opens the door because I know that playtime will begin soon. I’m not particular about toys because they’re all fun as far as I’m concerned. I even find it entertaining when Foster Meowmy scoops the litter box, and I try to be her little helper. My feral-kitty momma birthed my #charming-four litter (Ash, Caramel, Humphrey, and me) inside of Foster Meowmy’s garage. We lived outside until we were ready to be weaned, and Foster Meowmy noticed that I always was the kind, brave Big Brother who protected my smaller siblings while momma was out hunting. When Foster Meowmy trapped/ spayed/ and released Momma, she brought us kittens inside to the safe haven of her home and promised to find us fantastic forever homes. Now I’m ready to share my joy, humor, and affection with my forever family. Could that be with you? Arrange to meet me today! My heart has SO MUCH love to give – all I need is YOU! If you’re looking to adopt a “matched pair,” consider adopting me with my twin sister Ash. (She even has the gray thumbprints on her head too!) Although we’re available separately, we think it’d be the cat’s meow if we could be playmates and cuddle buddies while you’re at work or on vacation. HOPE ID 25-0329-C021 Hermes' $125 adoption fee includes spay/neuter, basic vaccines, microchip and registration, testing for FIV/FeLV, negative fecal test, and preventative treatment against fleas and parasites. HAS ASH-WEDNESDAY THUMBPRINT ON HER HEAD  DOB 8/1/24 Hey there, everyone! I’m Ash (aka Ash Wednesday), a refined, graceful, and petite solid-white princess except for the gray thumbprint on the crown of my head (like one might get on Ash Wednesday.) I must admit that when my large, pale jade-green eyes lock into yours, I’m pretty irresistible. Like any sheltered damsel, I was initially shy, docile, and gentle when I met Foster Meowmy. Once I felt confident around her, I became very loving and turned on my purr motor full blast to tell her so! Now I’m very friendly with her and run to greet her at the door so I can plant my pheromones on her feet and legs. My feral-kitty momma birthed my #charming-four litter (Hermes, Caramel, Humphrey, and me) inside of Foster Meowmy’s garage. We lived outside until we were ready to be weaned, and that’s when Foster Meowmy trapped/ spayed/ and released Momma and brought us kittens inside to the safe haven of her home and promised to find us fantastic forever homes. I love to play with my siblings and then collapse in a kitten puddle when we’re exhausted. Now I’m ready to share my sweet, patient temperament and affection with my forever family. Could that be with you? Arrange to meet me today! I promise to leave tiny paw prints all over your heart. If you’re looking to adopt a “matched pair,” consider adopting me with my twin brother Hermes. (He even has TWO gray thumbprints on his head!) Although we’re available separately, we think it’d be the cat’s meow if we could be playmates and cuddle buddies while you’re at work or on vacation. HOPE ID 25-0329-C022 Ash's $125 adoption fee includes spay/neuter, basic vaccines, microchip and registration, testing for FIV/FeLV, negative fecal test, and preventative treatment against fleas and parasites.
