Story
Mr. Cat is an incredibly sweet, gentle, and easygoing companion who would thrive in a calm, loving home. We adopted him from the SPCA 8 years ago, and from the moment we brought him home, he settled in as if he had always belonged with us. He has a mellow, kind, and affectionate personality. Mr. Cat prefers a quieter household where he can relax and feel secure. He is the kind of cat who brings a comforting presence to a home - he's content to lounge nearby, loves to snuggle in bed, and is wonderful company. Since adopting him, we have had children, and while Mr. Cat has been wonderful with them, they unfortunately have severe allergies. After much thought, we know the kindest choice is to find Mr. Cat a new home where he can be fully loved. We're hoping to find Mr. Cat a caring family or individual who can offer him the calm, stable environment he loves most. He would make a wonderful companion for someone looking for a sweet, low-key, loving cat.

Story
Yue is a one-year-old domestic short-haired cat with a big heart (and mouth). She was originally found in a bush in South Carolina at 8 weeks old, with minimal injuries, but clearly dumped as she was already litterbox trained. She loves to be held (on her time) and will attempt to lick and suckle on your neck the entire time. She loves dark, tight spaces like bags, tunnels, the ball pit, under the couch, in the closet behind the water heater, between the washing machine and the wall… Her behavior ranges from very sweet to very chaotic and she has recently been diagnosed with hyperthesia, which we have been trying to manage the best we can. However, with me being in graduate school with a demanding course load plus working, I am not able to give her the attention she needs and deserves. I love her so much, but I know it's hurting both of us for me to continue to be her caregiver.

Story
Angelica (gel gel or baby girl) is a sweet and docile 5 year old girl. She has 2 big brothers that she adores and looks up to. She does well with other cats and loves to cuddle with them. She loves to cuddle on your shoulder or close to your face. She is playful, but mostly very chill. She has always been an indoor cat. She does well with dogs as long as they are ok with her. She is such a sweet girl!

Story
Wonderful loving companion who needs love and attention – and a safe person to call his own. Must deeply understand and adore cats. He has had a good home with us for 12 years. He’s been healthy all of his life. He is well housebroken, has lots of cat and people friends. He can go inside and outside, eats a variety of foods. He loves love and affection. Would really appreciate a good cat person. He gets along well with dogs and he is a very good judge of character. He loves to combed and brushed gently and told what a handsome boy he is. His caregiver needs a caregiver. I can no longer handle the responsibility of a cat. And I have no doubt the cat would really love a person who could open their arms to him.

Story
Bug is a 6 ½ year-old Tortie female. She is a real people person and loves to spend time outdoors as well as indoors. She is super healthy – never having been to the vet for anything other than her annual shots. She will love to go on a short walk with you or hang out while you are working on a project. Bug is a decent mouser but she really likes chasing insects!. She also sometimes likes to stay out all night, but rest assured, will always stay near the house. She loves her catnip plants and loves it when I rub some on her scratch post. She loves rubbing on everything and loves to be scratched on her face, ears, and back and if she is in the right mood, even her tummy. Bug is a great companion and loves to be around the action and near you whenever possible. But she is not a big cuddler. Occasionally she will visit you in bed and sleep with you for a while but rarely stays all night or jumps on your lap. Also, Bug does not like other cats. She just wants you all to herself I guess!

Story
Unfortunately, we have to rehome our cat, Simba, as he is stressed by the addition of a young dog in our home. We want to find him a calm environment where he can feel comfortable again. Simba is 12 years old, neutered, and strictly an indoor cat. He has no known health issues. He would do best as the only pet or with calmer, older animals. He is sweet, affectionate, and loves to snuggle. He enjoys being held and even likes belly rubs. He is good with both kids and adults, though he may hide at first when new people arrive. Since he is our only cat, he will come with all of his supplies: - Used 6’ cat tree (shown in the last photo) - New-in-box 6’ cat tree - PetSafe Smart Covered Self-Cleaning Litter Box - Litter Genie - Automatic Cat Feeder - Any refills and unused food we have on hand Located in McGaheysville, willing to meet or transport to Harrisonburg or the surrounding area.
