Story
Hi, my name is Avril. My birthday is September 23rd. During the warmer days my friends let me have a pool. I love the water, especially when it is super hot! I love lounging around in my pool, playing with my kennel mate Beckett, and trading loving for some treats. I have some energy and like to play, but mostly I like just napping. I would love a good lap to lay on.

Story
Meet Trey! 🐾 Trey is the perfectly pocket-sized pittie whose only real flaw is his inability to keep his tongue in his mouth. Don’t let his age fool you—this 9-year-old, 60-lb sweetheart still has plenty of energy and is ready to run straight into your heart. Trey is adventurous and curious but also loves nothing more than curling up on the couch for a good nap. He adores every person and dog he meets and would love to be part of a pack—especially with larger dogs he can chase around the yard and then pile up with for a cuddle puddle. Simply put, Trey knows no strangers and his love has no limits. Trey has overcome a lot in his life. When he first came into rescue, he was recovering from gunshot wounds and two broken legs. Even after everything he’s been through—and the loss of a home when his family relocated—Trey remains incredibly trusting and gentle. You may notice him flinch if a hand appears suddenly, but the moment he realizes it’s coming with love, he melts right into the affection. Trey knows basic commands, is fully housetrained, and is a wonderful companion. He does best in a home with a privacy fence or without close dog neighbors, as seeing dogs through a fence can make him a little too excited. ✨ Trey is: ✔️ Around 9 years old and ~60 lbs ✔️ Fully vaccinated and on monthly flea & tick prevention ✔️ Recently treated for heartworms. Next treatment due in July ✔️ Housetrained and knows basic commands ✔️ Friendly with people and other dogs 📍 Fostered in Huntsville, AL (meet & greets available there) 🚐 Foster is willing to travel up to 200 miles for transport for the right adopter 🏡 Adult home or older children only (no babies or toddlers) 🐱 Not tested with cats Trey has spent years waiting for a family to call his own. If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate companion with a heart of gold, Trey may be the one. 💙 👉 Apply to adopt at FORrescue.net #FORrescue #FriendsofRescue #AdoptTrey #PittieLove #SeniorDogLove #RescueDog #AdoptDontShop #HuntsvilleAL #ForeverHome

Story
Coi is a loving three-year-old dog with a gentle, affectionate nature. I originally got her from my mother-in-law, who owns both of her parents, so I’ve known her background since birth. She is very people-oriented—extremely cuddly, loyal, and happiest when she’s close to her person. Koi enjoys all the usual things dogs love and thrives on companionship and attention. She is well-trained on her basic commands, including sit, down, and stay. While she has a strong foundation, she would benefit from continued training, particularly with leash work and learning to heel. Koi would do best in a home where she will receive plenty of time, attention, and care. I’m looking for someone who can truly invest in her and provide the loving, stable environment she deserves.

Story
Meet Lux! A 15 month old, male pure bred American Staffordshire Terrier. A breed known for deep loyalty to their family, smart and physically & mentally active. Lux is being re-homed through no fault of his own. His family of 5 lead extremely busy lives and Lux is stuck in his crate/kennel, bored and sad. His family wants him to enjoy life with an owner(s) who will spend time with him. He could use more leash training and basic commands to temper his puppy energy. Lux is neutered, up to date on all vaccines. He is on monthly heartworm/flea & tick prevention. Lux is full of smiles and love just aching to share with you. He needs experienced owners who can handle his size and energy. He gets playful and can accidentally knock down young kids. He is so silly and loving and will make a great, loyal pet for the right family.
