Story
Johnny is a big beefy dog looking for a big beefy guy (or gal) to pal around with! Throw on your matching tank tops and do your workouts together (you're sure to turn heads), followed by a long session tossing the ball around (he never passed a ball he didn't want to pick up), followed by maybe some weight lifting (he'll be your squatty spotter), followed by...yes, you guessed it, Johnny is all go! He's a bit of a freight train on leash and just enough of a bowling ball to knock over small kids, so an adult-only, active, breed aware home is going to be the best fit. Johnny is not compatible with other animals, so make sure you are going to the private gym (not to be mistaken with the dog park).    ~  Est DOB:  Oct 2017 ~  Intake weight:  75#  ~  Adoption details/application:  calhouncountyhs.blogspot.com/p/adopt.htmlNovember 1, 2024, 11:11 pm

Story
If boisterous and beautiful is your kind of gal, meet Norma! She truly embraces life, with a long list of things she loves that includes romping in the yard, squeaking the squeak out of squeaky toys, playing tug, polishing her already good obedience skills (with a few yummy treats for motivation) and so much more. But don't feel left out - she also enjoys her people-time. In fact, she'll push through a loose gate to come be with you, so a secure yard is key. Due to her play style and energy, she is recommended as companion for dogs her own size only, kids 10+, and no cats please.  Norma has EPI, a condition that is manageable with a low-fat diet and enzyme supplements. Please ask the shelter for details.  ***Our pups don't tell us who their parents are - BREED is a GUESS*** ~  Est DOB:  Jan 2018 ~  Intake weight:  59#  ~  Adoption details/application:  calhouncountyhs.blogspot.com/p/adopt.html  January 24, 2025, 9:51 pm

Story
Meet Laura! Laura is the smallest of her three siblings, but she has a big heart and an even bigger personality! This adorable 37 lb terrier mix was born around mid-July and has the sweetest, slightly spunky nature. With her striking green eyes and short, sturdy frame, she’s as cute as can be. Laura sleeps soundly through the night in her crate, plays well with other dogs, and has already learned to walk on a leash. She’s a total sweetheart who is ready to bring love and joy to her forever home. Laura and her siblings, Jay and Shelbi, were found near a local church by kind-hearted good Samaritans. In honor of those who helped them, they were named after important members of the church community. Now, Laura is looking for a family to call her own—could it be yours? Story
🎾Roger and Russell 🎾 These handsome boys are Roger(darker brindle) and Russell (lighter brindle). They are brothers that were born last May. There were ten puppies in the litter and these two brindle boys were instant buddies. They have been together since birth and are total best friends. Russel can be a little shy in new situations but as long as Roger is there to reassure him, he knows everything will be okay. They are good with other dogs but a bit freaked out by cats. The boys love going on adventures and playing in the fenced yard at their fosters house. The are great hiking buddies and love water. After their big day out, they are happy to snuggle on the sofa and chill. Roger and Russell are crate and house trained. They are quiet and mannerly when inside and entertain each other. If you have been thinking about getting a new adventure buddy, please consider these two awesome brothers. We know taking on two can be a lot to ask but these boys are just too close for us to separate. Whoever gets this special pair of brothers will definitely be double blessed. ❤️❤️
