Calvin is a total goofball who LOVES to play ball , and when he gets too warm, he’ll happily jump into the kiddie pool to cool off before he’s ready to play again! He walks amazing on leash and has been non-reactive to other dogs while out and about. This sweet boy was saved from the euthanasia list at the shelter in January 2026. He came into the shelter with  another dog and had previously lived with 3 other dogs in his former home. A proper dog intro would still be recommended to make sure everyone gets along.  Calvin can be a little cautious when meeting new people at first, but once he trusts you, you’ll have a loyal best friend for life. He is very treat motivated, super smart, and already knows sit, paw, and down. He loves learning new things and would make an amazing walking buddy. My name is Manny, and I'm hoping that somewhere out there is a person or family looking for a best friend just like me. Before you meet me, I'd love to tell you a little about my story. Life didn't start out very easy for me and my brothers. We spent our early puppy months living in a van with our owner. Five of us puppies were crowded together in a small kennel that was dirty, cramped, and far from the kind of place where puppies should grow up. We were underweight, suffering from mange, and had never received proper veterinary care. At the time, I didn't know life could be different. Then one day, everything changed. A kind woman from Pets to Vets, a pet transportation company, arrived to transport us to a boarding facility while our owner was hospitalized. When she saw the condition we were in, she knew we needed help. Instead of looking the other way, she became the first person to give us a real chance. At the boarding facility, a veterinarian treated our mange and gave us our first vaccinations. For the first time, people were helping us heal. A few days later, our owner returned and took our mother home, leaving the rest of us behind. That could have been the end of our story. Instead, it became the beginning of a much better one. The wonderful woman from Pets to Vets opened her heart and her home to all of us. Suddenly, we had room to run and play. We slept on clean bedding, enjoyed regular meals, and discovered what it felt like to simply be puppies. We learned that people could be gentle, caring, and trustworthy. As time went on, caring foster families stepped up to help us while we searched for forever homes. They quickly noticed something special about my brothers and me. Even though we had spent much of our lives hungry, we never fought over food. We happily eat side by side, share bowls, and switch places during meals without a fuss. Somehow, despite a difficult beginning, we remained friendly, trusting, and full of love. That's exactly the kind of dog I am today. I'm a sweet, affectionate young pup who loves attention and enjoys being around people. Whether we're going for a walk, playing in the yard, or relaxing on the couch, I'm happiest when I'm spending time with my humans. I have a playful side, but I also appreciate a good nap and plenty of cuddle time. There is one unique thing about me that people often notice right away: my tail has a bend in it from an old break. The truth is, nobody knows exactly how it happened. It's possible I was born that way, or it may have occurred sometime during my early life before I was rescued. Whatever the cause, it doesn't slow me down one bit. In fact, my tail wags just fine, and many people think it adds a little extra character to my handsome appearance! My mange is healing beautifully, and my coat continues to grow back every day. Those lighter patches you may see in my photos are simply areas where my fur is returning. I've received veterinary care, vaccinations, a microchip, and I've already been neutered thanks to the kindness of people who wanted to give me the best possible start on my new life. Now I'm ready to find what I've been waiting for all along: a family of my own. I'm not looking for perfection. I don't care if your house is big or small. I don't need expensive toys or fancy treats. What matters most to me is having people who will love me, keep me safe, and make me part of their family forever. Maybe you're looking for a hiking buddy. Maybe you're searching for a couch companion to watch movies with. Maybe your kids are hoping for a dog they can grow up with. Or maybe you simply want a loyal friend who will greet you with excitement every single time you walk through the door. If you can offer love, patience, and a permanent place in your heart, I promise I'll do my very best to return that love every day for the rest of my life. Scooby is a handsome young guy with a story that only adds to who he is. After spending six long months in a stressful shelter environment, Scooby is finally getting his chance to decompress and learn what life outside the kennel is all about. He’s still young and full of energy, but he’s also learning how to channel that in the best ways—give him a toy, a puzzle, or something to keep his mind busy, and he’s more than happy to entertain himself. Scooby is a sensitive soul who’s still figuring things out. He’ll need a patient, understanding home that can give him the time and space to build confidence at his own pace. But underneath it all is a loyal, thoughtful dog who’s just waiting for his person to show him the way. He doesn’t need perfect—he just needs a chance.

Hi there, future family! My name is Lafonda, and oh boy, do I have a tail‑wagging story to tell you. I’ve been waiting a long time to share it with the special humans who will someday call me their own. Maybe—just maybe—that’s you. I’m about four years old, which means I’ve got the perfect mix of youthful pep and grown‑up charm. Back in June of 2025, I was picked up as a stray in Yuma. I don’t remember much about how I ended up on my own, but I do remember how relieved I was when kind people scooped me up and kept me safe. I spent some time at the pound there, dreaming of the day someone would walk in, point at me, and say, “That’s the one.” It didn’t happen then… but that’s okay, because my journey wasn’t over. Now I’m living my best temporary life at Central Arizona Animal Rescue, and let me tell you—I’m soaking up all the love, treats, and playtime I can get. Still, every night when I curl up to sleep, I imagine what it will feel like to finally have a forever home. A place where I can stretch out on a soft bed, chase toys across the yard, and follow my humans around like the loyal shadow I’m destined to be. Let’s talk about the elephant in the room—or rather, the bald spot on my head. Yep, I’ve got one! When I was found, I had a wound there, but it’s all healed up now. The hair just never grew back, so I rock a permanent little shiny patch. Personally, I think it adds character. Some dogs have fancy markings; I have a built‑in conversation starter. It makes me unique, memorable, and honestly kind of adorable. I’m all up to date on my vaccinations, and I’ve been microchipped so I’ll never get lost again. That part is really important to me. After spending who‑knows‑how‑long wandering alone, the idea of always being connected to my people feels like the warmest, safest hug. Now, let’s get to the fun stuff—my personality. If you’re looking for a couch potato, I’m probably not your girl. I’m an active, playful, goofy, boxer‑mix bundle of energy. I love to run, jump, wiggle, and especially play fetch. Oh, fetch. My absolute favorite. Throw the ball once, and I’ll think you’re neat. Throw it twice, and I’ll think you’re amazing. Throw it three times, and I’ll love you forever. I adore people. Hanging out with humans is one of my top hobbies. Whether you’re relaxing, working in the yard, or just wandering around the house, I’m happiest when I’m part of the action. I’m loyal, affectionate, and always ready to brighten your day with a tail wag or a goofy grin. I do need to mention one thing: I’m not good with cats. I know, I know—they’re cute and fluffy, but something about them just gets me too excited. So a cat‑free home would be best for everyone involved. My name is Manny, and I'm hoping that somewhere out there is a person or family looking for a best friend just like me. Before you meet me, I'd love to tell you a little about my story. Life didn't start out very easy for me and my brothers. We spent our early puppy months living in a van with our owner. Five of us puppies were crowded together in a small kennel that was dirty, cramped, and far from the kind of place where puppies should grow up. We were underweight, suffering from mange, and had never received proper veterinary care. At the time, I didn't know life could be different. Then one day, everything changed. A kind woman from Pets to Vets, a pet transportation company, arrived to transport us to a boarding facility while our owner was hospitalized. When she saw the condition we were in, she knew we needed help. Instead of looking the other way, she became the first person to give us a real chance. At the boarding facility, a veterinarian treated our mange and gave us our first vaccinations. For the first time, people were helping us heal. A few days later, our owner returned and took our mother home, leaving the rest of us behind. That could have been the end of our story. Instead, it became the beginning of a much better one. The wonderful woman from Pets to Vets opened her heart and her home to all of us. Suddenly, we had room to run and play. We slept on clean bedding, enjoyed regular meals, and discovered what it felt like to simply be puppies. We learned that people could be gentle, caring, and trustworthy. As time went on, caring foster families stepped up to help us while we searched for forever homes. They quickly noticed something special about my brothers and me. Even though we had spent much of our lives hungry, we never fought over food. We happily eat side by side, share bowls, and switch places during meals without a fuss. Somehow, despite a difficult beginning, we remained friendly, trusting, and full of love. That's exactly the kind of dog I am today. I'm a sweet, affectionate young pup who loves attention and enjoys being around people. Whether we're going for a walk, playing in the yard, or relaxing on the couch, I'm happiest when I'm spending time with my humans. I have a playful side, but I also appreciate a good nap and plenty of cuddle time. There is one unique thing about me that people often notice right away: my tail has a bend in it from an old break. The truth is, nobody knows exactly how it happened. It's possible I was born that way, or it may have occurred sometime during my early life before I was rescued. Whatever the cause, it doesn't slow me down one bit. In fact, my tail wags just fine, and many people think it adds a little extra character to my handsome appearance! My mange is healing beautifully, and my coat continues to grow back every day. Those lighter patches you may see in my photos are simply areas where my fur is returning. I've received veterinary care, vaccinations, a microchip, and I've already been neutered thanks to the kindness of people who wanted to give me the best possible start on my new life. Now I'm ready to find what I've been waiting for all along: a family of my own. I'm not looking for perfection. I don't care if your house is big or small. I don't need expensive toys or fancy treats. What matters most to me is having people who will love me, keep me safe, and make me part of their family forever. Maybe you're looking for a hiking buddy. Maybe you're searching for a couch companion to watch movies with. Maybe your kids are hoping for a dog they can grow up with. Or maybe you simply want a loyal friend who will greet you with excitement every single time you walk through the door. If you can offer love, patience, and a permanent place in your heart, I promise I'll do my very best to return that love every day for the rest of my life. Hi there! My name is Clutch, and I'm looking for something I've never really had before: a forever home. Before I tell you about the kind of family I'm hoping to find, I should probably tell you a little about where I came from. Life didn't start out easy for me and my brothers and sisters. We were part of a group of seven dogs living in a van with a homeless owner. Five of us puppies spent most of our days crowded together in a tiny kennel that was barely big enough for all of us. It was dirty, uncomfortable, and not much of a place for a puppy to grow up. We were hungry, underweight, covered in mange, and had never seen a veterinarian. Things changed when a kind woman from Pets to Vets, a pet transportation company, came to help. She had been asked to transport us to a boarding facility while our owner was hospitalized. When she saw our condition, she knew we needed more help than just a ride. A veterinarian examined us, treated our mange, and gave us our first vaccinations. A few days later, our owner returned and took only our mother, leaving the rest of us behind. Most people might have turned away, but the wonderful lady from Pets to Vets wouldn't let that happen. She took all six of us into her own home. For the first time in our lives, we got to experience what being a dog should really feel like. We played in a yard. We slept on clean bedding. We ate regular meals. We got baths and lots of kindness. Slowly, we started learning that people could be gentle and caring. Later, four of us came to stay with another family who agreed to help while we searched for permanent homes. They quickly discovered something special about us. Even though we had spent much of our lives not knowing where our next meal would come from, we never fought over food. In fact, we'll often share, switch bowls, and happily eat side by side. That's just the kind of dogs we are. As for me, I'm a sweet, resilient pup with a heart much bigger than my past. I love attention, enjoy playing with my dog friends, and I'm learning every day what it means to be a cherished companion. Despite everything I've been through, I still greet life with a wagging tail and an optimistic spirit. My mange is healing nicely, and my fur is growing back more every day. Those light patches you may see aren't scars or discoloration. They're simply places where healthy new fur is returning. This weekend I'll receive my second mange treatment, vaccine boosters, and a microchip. I've already been neutered too, thanks to a generous low-cost veterinary clinic that helped all of us get ready for adoption. The people caring for me say I'm incredibly well-behaved and easy to love. Personally, I think I'm just grateful. Every meal, every belly rub, every soft bed feels like a gift. What I want most now is a family of my own. A family that will see past my rough beginning and focus on the bright future ahead. Maybe that's a family with kids. Maybe it's a retired couple. Maybe it's a single person looking for a loyal best friend. I don't really care what your house looks like or how big your yard is. What matters to me is love, patience, and a promise that I'll never have to wonder where I belong again. My name is Clutch for now, but honestly, I don't know it very well yet. You can call me whatever you like. What matters more than my name is finding someone who wants to make me part of their family forever.
