Story
- Friendly with new people and likes laps, pets and attention - Super into treats, including whipped cream - Recently went on a Dog's Day Out field trip and was a cuddly companion: "Clyde was such a sweet boy on his adventure day! He rode super well in the car, looking out the window and taking a nice nap with the cutest snores! He is a strong boy on walks, but about five minutes into our hike settled down and walked wonderfully! He enjoyed a pet supply store trip to get love and treats and was very confident! He loves balls and enjoyed taking a nap on the couch!" - Likes to explore new places - Already knows sit, shake and stay - Not a fan of loud noises, including thunder and fireworks; would prefer a quieter home - Has done well with school-age kids; can be a bit bouncy when he's excited so will likely do best with kids who are old enough and big enough to be OK with that - May take some time to warm up to new dogs and may prefer some dogs over others; would be most comfortable with a slow introduction to new dogs (dog intro required) - Is not a fan of cats and needs a home without them- May have allergies (more info at ARL) This pet qualifies for our 7-day Foster-to-Adopt program. If you're interested in fostering to adopt, please reach out to meetme@arl-iowa.org.All adoptable dogs and puppies are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations (rabies and DA2PPV as appropriate for their age)The ARL's shelter software requires that we choose a primary breed for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most dogs we are only guessing at primary breed. We get to know each dog as an individual and do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not breed label. Primary Color: White Weight: 80 Age: 3yrs 11mths 4wks

- Active dog who is ready to accompany you on all your adventures; looking for a family who loves being active just like her - Enjoys playing with stuffed toys and rope toys - Loves to learn and has great focus - especially if you have treats - so would be a lot of fun to train; already knows sit! - Likes getting lots of attention from her people and wants to be involved in everything you're doing- Loves going on walks and does best with a harness- Used to spending time in her kennel while her foster family is away from home - Has lived in an attached-living environment with her foster family and has been a quiet houseguest- Has been doing well with potty training in her foster home, may need some help from her new family to get to 100% - Wants to be right up next to you in the car, so would do best with a dog seatbelt on car rides - Young, noisy or busy children can be too much for her (mature home recommended) - Tends to be socially awkward with other dogs when she first meets them, but has gotten along great with other dogs in her foster home once getting to know each other; may do best with a dog friend who doesn't mind if she's a little pushy at first (dog intro recommended)- Has lived with a smaller, older dog in her foster home and done well with them - Has been diagnosed with hip dysplasia (more info at ARL) This pet qualifies for our 7-day Foster-to-Adopt program. Story
Goliath is a stunning sleek boy! He turns heads and melts your heart with his big pittie smile! He LOVES people! Maybe a little too much. Some days this big 50 pound love bug still thinks hes a 10 pound puppy and wants to sit in our lap! Goliath would do best in a home that has older children as he still doesn't realize how big he is as he is still full of his puppy energy. He would never hurt anyone! He just doesn't realize how big he is and can easily knock down littles. He knows basic command and is house trained and crate trained. He gets along with other dogs but tends to play on the more energetic side, so other large dogs are best for him. He has a big big heart and will be someone's best buddy on the road, hiking/fishing/camping/running buddy. A good pittie is a TIRED pittie :) And Goliath is a GOOD PITTIE :) Local adoption fee $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $400 (includes transport to your area) $50 temporary fuel surcharge

Story
This handsome goofball is a high-energy bundle of joy who’s always ready for fun! Bingo starts his mornings playing with his best friend — a cat — and carries that playful spirit all day long. He loves car rides, enjoys romping with other dogs, and can’t resist a squeaky toy (the louder, the better!). Bingo is a big, sweet puppy who’s still learning his manners, so he’ll need a patient and understanding family to help him continue to grow. He walks well on a leash but may pull when he gets excited. He’s both crate trained and housebroken. Apartment life isn’t the best fit for Bingo just yet, as he’s still learning to adjust to new sounds and may bark while working on redirection. With the right family and some guidance, Bingo will be the most loyal, happy companion you could ask for! Local adoption fee is $250(in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $550 (includes transport to your area)
