Valhalla is an approximately 3–year-old Staffordshire Terrier mix girl that we thought had found her forever home, but unfortunately has made her way back to us after showing that she would be much better suited to life in an only-dog home. Valhalla is a sweet little goof ball with so much personality! She loves to play with her family, and keeps everyone laughing as she appeases everyone’s need for pets and snuggles. She’s definitely people and attention driven, as she is the biggest people pleaser you will ever meet! Valhalla does need to be the only pet in the home. She has shown that her prey drive is too great to be around little dogs or cats, and she is a bit too jealous of even bigger dogs in her space. She is potty trained and crate trained, but does need a secure fenced in yard in her forever home. Unfortunately, we do not have any open foster homes for Valhalla to come back to, so she is having to make her way track to boarding until a foster or adopter can be found. This can be quite challenging, as only-animal homes are very hard to come by. However, we promise if you take a chance on this girl, she will repay the love ten-fold! Whitt is a majestic looking boy! He arrived at our shelter as a stray already knowing simple commands like sit and shake. He loves attention and affection from folks. He would make an excellent buddy for walking or hiking. He will require a fenced yard to explore and to satisfy his big curiosity. He is smart and routine oriented and will follow instructions. We recommended older children because of Whitt's size and muscular build. He LOVES car rides. He is about 65 lbs and going on 3 yrs old. He is along timer at our shelter. He loves all folks and prefers female dogs as playmates. He does NOT like cats and will chase them. We always recommend a test with a potential adopter's current pet. Leo is a solid boy who is ready to take his place in a loving home. He craves attention, hugs, and someone who will take time to play with him. He is about 5 years old and weighs 71 pounds. Leo is friendly to people and mostly female dogs, but may be too interested in cats for their comfort. He would need a family without small children as his strong enthusiasm for play may be a little overwhelming. Leo with thrive in a home with a yard or farm to play and to explore, and to put his energy to good use. We don't know how happy the first five years of Leo's life have been, but we are all hoping that he'll move forward to a happy, loving home for the rest of his days. We are a rural shelter with high intakes. As a result, the shelter dogs are not guaranteed safety. We do our best but, we need help. ADOPTION FEES APPLY- Dogs $175- $200 Cats $90.
