Story
Valhalla is an approximately 3–year-old Staffordshire Terrier mix girl that we thought had found her forever home, but unfortunately has made her way back to us after showing that she would be much better suited to life in an only-dog home. Valhalla is a sweet little goof ball with so much personality! She loves to play with her family, and keeps everyone laughing as she appeases everyone’s need for pets and snuggles. She’s definitely people and attention driven, as she is the biggest people pleaser you will ever meet! Valhalla does need to be the only pet in the home. She has shown that her prey drive is too great to be around little dogs or cats, and she is a bit too jealous of even bigger dogs in her space. She is potty trained and crate trained, but does need a secure fenced in yard in her forever home. Unfortunately, we do not have any open foster homes for Valhalla to come back to, so she is having to make her way track to boarding until a foster or adopter can be found. This can be quite challenging, as only-animal homes are very hard to come by. However, we promise if you take a chance on this girl, she will repay the love ten-fold! If you can open your home to foster this girl, you can apply to foster through the link in our bio! Fostering is FREE, as we take care of all food, vetting, crate, collars, leashes, etc. you could need! You just provide the love and the occasional ride to adoption events. If you think this sweet girl would fit in your forever family, you can apply to adopt at www.lexpitcrew.org/adopt Her adoption fee is fully sponsored!

Story
Leo is a solid boy who is ready to take his place in a loving home. He craves attention, hugs, and someone who will take time to play with him. He is about 5 years old and weighs 71 pounds. Leo is friendly to people and mostly female dogs, but may be too interested in cats for their comfort. He would need a family without small children as his strong enthusiasm for play may be a little overwhelming. Leo with thrive in a home with a yard or farm to play and to explore, and to put his energy to good use. We don't know how happy the first five years of Leo's life have been, but we are all hoping that he'll move forward to a happy, loving home for the rest of his days. We are a rural shelter with high intakes. As a result, the shelter dogs are not guaranteed safety. We do our best but, we need help. ADOPTION FEES APPLY- Dogs $175- $200 Cats $90. (We are not set up for credit or debit payments.) Applications are required and can be requested by emailing fopcpky@gmail.com or the foster contact listed if in foster care. They can also be downloaded from this website: www.fopcp.org Families with young children are required to have a fenced yard to prevent accidental escape of pets. To make an inquiry call: 606-663-4998 or 859.948.0371. Leave a message on voicemail if you miss the staff. Your calls are VERY IMPORTANT to us! The shelter is open Monday thru Friday from 9 - 3 p.m. except Thursdays (closed). Appointments are recommended. Saturday hours normally 10 - noon or by appt. 🖤🐾 Meet Zero! 🐾🖤Zero is the total package — house manners ✔️, crate trained ✔️, leash trained ✔️ — and ready to bring energy and cuddles into his forever home! This young guy is an energetic goofball who loves nothing more than tossing his toys in the air and chasing after them like it’s his full-time job. Zoomies? Absolutely. Playtime? Always. But when the fun winds down, Zero transforms into a full-on cuddlebug who just wants to be close to his people. He’s great on a leash, enjoys meeting new people, and does well with other dogs. Whether it’s a walk around the neighborhood or a backyard play session, Zero is ready to be your adventure buddy.💛 Zero’s Best Qualities:• Sweet and snuggly• Loves running and playing• Friendly with people and dogs• Potty & crate trainedLike any young pup, Zero is still learning a few house rules. NO CATS! Hey you! Yeah, you! Hi! I'm Tank and I am ready to be your best friend! Like, seriously, you've never met anyone like me before! I am the happiest boy you've ever met! I'm a foodie too, but I take my treats and cookies very gently. I am an absolute CHAMP at sitting and I can't wait to learn more cool tricks! I am looking for a home without any kitties though, I find them a little bit too tempting. I haven't met any dog friends here yet, so if you have one at home I'd like to meet them first, just to make sure we can all get along. Think I could your next PAWsome adventure buddy? Give my friends at the Adoption Center at call at 859-873-5491 to find out more about me or to schedule an appointment to meet me!

Story
Are you looking for the quiet one? The gentle soul in the litter who’s perfectly content observing the chaos instead of causing it? Meet Freddie. Freddie is an 8-week-old Boxer mix with the sweetest, calmest little personality. While his littermates are busy being wild puppies, Freddie is usually off to the side, taking it all in. He’s thoughtful, observant, and prefers to move through the world at his own pace. Don’t mistake his quiet nature for aloofness, though — this boy absolutely loves cuddles. Scoop him up and he melts. He’s happiest curled in your lap or resting in your arms, soaking up soft affection and quiet companionship. If you’re searching for a snuggler, Freddie is your guy. He enjoys gentle play and exploring, but he’s not the over-the-top, nonstop type. He loves a good nap and fully commits to recharge mode between little bursts of puppy energy. Professional napper in the making? We think so. Spay/neuter appointments are already scheduled, and he will be neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped prior to adoption. Located in Mount Vernon, Kentucky.

Story
Miss Francine is a 2–3-year-old Boxer mix with a gentle, affectionate heart and a loving personality. She was found abandoned alongside her puppies — T-Bo, Carly, Gibby, and Freddie from the iCarly litter — but despite that difficult start, she has remained a sweetheart with a big capacity for love and connection. Her resilience and sweet nature make her truly special, and she quickly bonds with the people she trusts. She is incredibly friendly and gets along well with dogs, cats, and children, making her a wonderful fit for families or multi-pet homes. In her current foster home, her closest friend is a small Chihuahua, and the pair get along beautifully — showing that she can comfortably live with dogs of all sizes when introductions are done thoughtfully. Miss Francine enjoys both playtime and quiet moments, though she prefers gentle, loving interaction over roughhousing. She is potty trained and leash trained, and she loves to explore her surroundings, sniffing around and discovering new things. While she would rather not go in a kennel, she adjusts well when it’s necessary, showing how adaptable she can be. Miss Francine shines as a companion and a cuddle buddy. She loves being near her people, nudging for pets, leaning in for affection, and offering her love freely. She is calm, well-mannered, and intuitive, often knowing when you need a little extra comfort. She has a playful side, but it is balanced with a sweet, loving demeanor that makes her a joy to be around in any setting. Her ideal home is one where she can feel safe, loved, and included in daily life. She thrives with people who can provide affection, consistency, and gentle guidance, and she will repay it with loyalty, snuggles, and companionship. Miss Francine’s story and her big heart make her a truly special dog who deserves a family that sees her for the loving, devoted soul she is. She is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, and microchipped. Miss Francine is ready for a home that appreciates her affectionate, gentle disposition and the loving personality she brings to every day. Located in Mount Vernon, Kentucky.

Story
Are you drawn to the quiet, thoughtful ones? The puppy who’s perfectly content doing his own thing while the rest of the litter wrestles in the background? Meet T-Bo. T-Bo is an 8-week-old Boxer mix with a calm, gentle spirit. He’s more introverted than his littermates and often keeps to himself, happily observing the world before deciding to join in. He has an independent streak and doesn’t feel the need to be the center of attention — and that’s part of what makes him so special. While he values his space, he absolutely loves cuddles on his terms. Pick him up and he’ll quietly melt into you, resting in your arms or curling into your lap for soft, peaceful snuggles. He bonds deeply and shows his affection in sweet, subtle ways. Spay/neuter appointments are scheduled, and he will be neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped prior to adoption.
