Story
EVERY DOG DESERVES A LOVING HOME!  We want nothing more for Warrior than for him to have his chance at his own home.  This dog is the sweetest soul and has been waiting an eterinity (in dog years) for someone to give him a chance.  Warrior is estimated to be 5 years old.  3 years of his life have been spent in boarding - 1 with a vet and 2 with our special connection in Louisiana.  Before Warrior went into boarding, he was living a life on a chain in horrible conditions. A boarding facility is better than that, but it is still not a HOME.  Warrior is neutered, potty trained and crate trained.  He is dog social, but we are suggesting female dogs due to his past.  He is playful at times, but may prefer to just lay next to you. (While snoring away!). If you are looking for a snuggle buddy, Warrior is your dog!  He loves attention, snuggles and sleeping with you in bed!  He is always smiling and is just the greatest dog!  He just needs someone to see that in him!  We would recommend older children in the home just due to the size and strength of Warrior.  Not only did Warrior survive heart worm disease and treatment, he also had a dental cleaning done!  Please consider giving this boy the life he deserves!  Warrior's adoption fee is $275 which goes towards transportation fees and costs of fostering.  (The second picture of him shows a side by side of what Warrior looked like in his horrible living conditions and what he looks like now.) ##1797383##

Story
How people can just abandoned their dogs is beyond us, but that is just what happened to little Tigger!  Someone tied him up to a fence and walked away.  Tigger waited all day in the rain for his owner to come back for him, but no one ever did.  Can you imagine how scared and confused he was?!  Thank goodness a good samaritain could not bear to leave him like that, so she took him in her apartment and reached out for help.  Shelters are full, so Seventh Heaven Rescue is trying to help.  Tigger needs a home as soon as possible!  He is believed to be between 9-12 months old and is estimated to weigh 40-45 pounds.  He has the most beautiful brindle coat and adorable ears!  Tigger loves people and getting attention from them.  He'll snuggle with you under the blankets if you'll let him!  He is very food motivated so that will make training easier.  Tigger needs training to walk properly on leash, as it appears no one ever taught that to him.  He loves to run around and play with toys, and also get a good butt scratch!  Tigger deserves to have a happily ever after ending!  Are you willing to give it to him? His adoption fee is $300 which goes towards neutering at our vet, vaccines and medical care up to adopton, microchip and costs associated with fostering. ##2013161##

Story
Another local dog abandoned!  Beautiful Rosie is a pit bull mix who is believed to be between 1 and 2 years old.  She was abandoned by her owners at a police station in East Syracuse.  Her owners just took off her leash and collar and walked out, without talking to anyone or leaving any information or records.  Rosie deserves better!  The rescue was fortunate to have a willing foster take in Rosie.  However, Rosie deserves to have her own forever home.  She is the sweetest dog!  She has loved everyone she has met, including kids!  True to the pittie breed, she loves to snuggle, and sometimes even thinks she's a lap dog!  Rosie is potty trained and has gone for long periods of time with no accidents.  She is not fond of her crate, so she is left in a small, safe area when her foster has to go to work.  She has never destroyed anything!  Rosie has some excited energy and may jump because she is so happy to see you!  Her foster is working on teaching her not to jump, along with sit, shake and lie down.  She loves to play ball.  She has little spurts of energy and then likes to just snuggle up.  Any applicants with their own dog would need to do a meet.   Rosie's adoption fee is $275 which goes towards spaying at our vet, vaccines and medical care up to adoption, microchip and costs associated with fostering.  Who will help this sweet girl live the life she deserves?! ##1998028##

Story
ALL our cats and dogs are in the NY area but can be adopted out of state to the purrfect furever home.  In some cases, we can help transport.  Zani's al fresco Summer Adoptions  follow us on FB to find us this summer as we will try new locations to meet the needs of NYC and support the little stores:)      1yrs 59pbs Diezel is a sweet boy with charming eyes, and a soul too big for this world. He loves other dogs and kids. Love Belly rubs. He’s into Treats & Cuddles? Diezel would do best in an active home full of love. He came from Arkansas and is fixed and up to date in vaccinations.  Diezel is a 1 year old mix full of goofiness and love. He is mischievous but submissive. Diezel loves other dogs but would also be great as an only pup. He loves cuddling up close during naptime, belly rubs and also plays a mean game of catch. Diezel speaks with his eyes. His facial expressions show how hard he loves. Diezel is fully house trained and very quickly picks up on commands. He is not completely leash trained yet but loves to go on long walks. He is a great companion in a car and loves his whipped cream pup cups!! All dogs are located in NY/NJ areaAll our puppies need puppy play dates/doggy facetime so we recommend homes with other pups or daily interactions to keep them tired out, happy and social. Facebook: Zani's Furry Friends ZFF (weekly adoption event info posted there)Twitter: zanisff Instagram: zanisfurryfriends Dogs are spayed/neutered, UTD on age appropriate vaccines, Rabies vaxed, and microchipped (not Lyme vaxed but we seriously recommend it!) All are in the NY/NJ area but we will adopt out of state to the purrfect home and in some cases, we can arrange transport. Please go to our site https://zanisfurryfriends.org fill out an application Many of us (cats/dogs) will be on display on Saturdays or Sundays, weather dependent--please ask by writing us at dogs@zanisfurryfriends.org and following us on FB. If you are seriously interested in adopting one of us in particular, please fill out an application early Friday so that we can be sure to be there. Otherwise we decide based on other variables. Usually we are in our foster homes so this is a bit more stressful and a slightly artificial environment but we do want to be seen and find our furever homes too. Please consider providing a home for more than one dog, especially if you are considering adopting a puppy. Dogs are pack animals and very much enjoy as well as need other dog company to learn to play, socialize and be good companion animals to people. The upside to this is that you won't feel as guilty leaving them alone and you get twice the love. Please come! And if you can't adopt, maybe you can foster or volunteer, and you can always donate! are located in NY/NJ area All our puppies need puppy play dates/doggy facetime so we recommend homes with other pups or daily interactions to keep them tired out, happy and social.    Facebook: Zani's Furry Friends ZFF (weekly adoption event info posted there) Twitter: zanisff  Instagram: zanisfurryfriends   Dogs are spayed/neutered, UTD on age appropriate vaccines, Rabies vaxed, and microchipped (not Lyme vaxed but we seriously recommend it!)  All are in the NY/NJ area but we will adopt out of state to the purrfect home and in some cases, we can arrange transport.  Please go to our site  https://zanisfurryfriends.org  fill out an application  Many of us (cats/dogs) will be on display on Saturdays or Sundays, weather dependent--please ask by writing us at dogs@zanisfurryfriends.org and following us on FB. Story
Chipper is a 3 year-old mutt that we've had since he was 8 weeks old. He has a LOT of energy and love to cuddle. We were told he was a lab, but he is obviously a mixed dog. He's neutered and up-to-date on his shots. The only reason we're rehoming him is because we just had a baby and have another on the way, and Chipper has struggled to adjust to the decreased attention. It's not fair to him for us to keep him when we can not provide what he needs. He has never shown aggression towards humans, but sometimes, his play with other dogs gets a bit too aggressive. He'd do best in a home where he is the only dog and where the children are older than 8. He is housebroken and crate trained. We will provide: A bag of food (Purina dog chow) Crate Collar Leash Dog bed/mat for in the crate
