Story
Lucy is just the cutest white boxer mix. Most of us mistake her for a puppy with her youthful looks but we think she’s about 5 years old. She enjoys her time in the play yard and sniffaris on a walk. She knows ‘sit’ and takes treats gently. She’s ready to blossom in a forever home that showers her with patience and love! Lucy has done well with male dogs but not so well with females and small dogs.

******Please note, once completing the initial screen you will be connected with the placement for a video chat. Transports run every few weeks and we will have the dog on the next available transport once approved. If you are not able to accept a dog until a specific time period, please apply at that time************ We are a volunteer run rescue and donate our time to these dogs. IF you are not serious about moving forward in our adoption process, please do not apply. If someone other than yourself is part of the decision making process, please make sure you have spoken with them and they are on board. We really do not want to waste anyone's time if you are not serious about adopting this dog. Teeka, a 1 year 7 month old spayed female, Boxer mix, 42lbs. She is in a foster home in Houston, TX and can transport out of state once an approved adopter is lined up! The amazing Teeka is on the hunt for her forever home. She specializes in best friending with an emphasis on playing! She currently lives with several larger dogs and is learning to respect their boundaries. She LOVES to play with them, but does need some help realizing when her foster siblings are ready to stop. She has not met any cats, so we’re not sure how she’d react to a feline sibling. Her foster mom says she’s done well meeting new human friends and is learning not to jump on them. Because of this and her high energy levels, we do recommend a home with older dog savvy kids. This smartie is house and crate trained! She sleeps quietly in her crate and is kenneled whenever her foster family is out of the house. We don’t recommend leaving her out unsupervised as she may help herself to whatever she finds in the kitchen. Teeka’s love for food is next level and she will try to sneak a bite from you or the other dog’s bowls, but has shown no signs of resource guarding. She is still working on her leash manners, but is getting better every day! She gets a little too excited when she sees other dogs, but is learning to calm down and continue on her walk. This happy girl absolutely loves toys! She knows where the toy basket is and will get one so you can join in the fun. She’s a huge fan of fetch and tug of war! Teeka is learning the joys of relaxing too. She loves to lay on your legs and get some pets and give some kisses. She’s happy just to be near her humans. Teeka is a young pup with boundless energy that will thrive in a home with a yard, daily exercise, training and patience. She’s a goofy, happy, loving girl and with just one look into those pretty doe eyes, your heart will melt! ***Listed BREED and AGE - We are taking our best guess & recommendations from our veterinarian on age, breed and size when fully grown. We rarely know a dog's exact age nor are we able to tell the true or full breed mix of dogs as our information is limited most of the time. *** Interested in applying to adopt her? Senior sweetness alert: Otis is here, and he is pure love. This big, handsome gentleman is not looking to be your jogging partner. Otis’s dream life is much better than that: a soft couch, a cozy spot in the grass, plenty of belly rubs, and as much cuddling as you’re willing to provide.Otis is the definition of a gentle soul. He’s sweet, humble, and incredibly brave, having come through obvious neglect without losing his loving heart. He could not be sweeter if he tried. At the shelter, Otis’s perfect outing is simple: head outside, take care of business, and then settle in on the front lawn with his people to relax. He’s happy to sit by your side, soak up affection, and quietly watch the world go by — people, cars, dogs, all of it.If you’ve been looking for a low-key best friend, a professional cuddle buddy, and a truly special senior dog to love, Otis may be your guy. Story
Nickname: D Rock Meet Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson... but don't worry, he's currently accepting applications for a brand-new last name! This handsome, muscular guy may look like he belongs in the spotlight, but beneath those good looks is a big softie who would much rather be cuddling with his favorite people than starring in an action movie. Dwayne came to us as an unclaimed stray and is ready to leave that chapter behind for a forever home. He can be a little nervous when meeting new people, but he warms up quickly and soon shows off his playful, affectionate personality. He's done well with other dogs, loves to play, and is happiest spending time with his people. Because he's still building his confidence, he'd do best in a home with teens and up. So, if you're wondering, "Can you smell what Dwayne is cooking?"—it's unconditional love! This sweet boy is ready to rock your world, become the champion of your heart, and finally find the family that will give him the happily ever after.

🐾 Hi, I'm Jackson! 🐾I'm a super-sweet Boxer, and I just turned 7 years old! You might notice I have a little something special about me—I'm totally deaf. But guess what? That doesn't slow me down one bit! I rely on my eyes, my nose, and my amazing sense of wiggle to experience the world.I think of myself as an expert-level cuddler and a full-time professional snuggler. Even though I can't hear them, I watch my humans really carefully, and I know exactly what they mean when they wave their hands or give me a big smile.I have so much energy and love to play! I can run and chase toys with the best of them. I'm a really happy boy, and I make sure to give everyone I meet the biggest, wiggliest greeting ever. Story
Meet Darryl Darryl is a big, gentle soul with an even bigger heart—he just needs a little time and kindness to let it shine. Life hasn’t always been fair to him, and it shows in the way he moves through the world a bit cautiously, taking things in slowly and quietly. He’s very, very timid, especially with new people and unfamiliar environments, but underneath that fear is a dog who wants to trust—he just needs someone willing to go at his pace. Darryl finds comfort in calm spaces and patient companionship. He’s not the kind of dog who will run up to greet you right away, but if you give him the time and understanding he deserves, you’ll start to see little glimpses of who he really is—soft eyes, a gentle presence, and a quiet kind of loyalty that feels incredibly special once you’ve earned it. He’s looking for a home that will offer consistency, compassion, and a low-pressure environment where he can continue to build confidence. Darryl doesn’t need much—just someone who will show him that not all people are unkind, and that he’s finally safe. With the right person, Darryl has so much potential to blossom. Watching him come out of his shell will be one of the most rewarding journeys you’ll ever be part of.

Meet Knox – Your New Adventure Buddy! Meet Knox, a 4-year-old pup with a big heart, plenty of energy, and an even bigger personality! Knox might be a little shy when you first meet him, but give him a few minutes and you'll have a loyal shadow by your side. Once he warms up, his playful side comes out in full force! He loves toys, enjoys bouncing around the yard (jumping is definitely one of his favorite hobbies!), and isn't afraid to tell you how excited he is with a few happy barks. This smart boy is kennel trained, potty trained, and already knows how to sit. He's also friendly with dogs, cats, and kids, making him a great addition to many different types of families. Like many pups, Knox has a couple of things he's still working on. He can get excited on walks and likes to pull on the leash, but with a little patience and consistency, he'll keep getting better every day. When it comes to high-value treats like bones or rawhides, Knox prefers to enjoy them in the comfort of his kennel, away from other pets. It's an easy way to help him feel relaxed while he chews. Knox is searching for a family that will embrace his fun-loving spirit, continue building his confidence, and include him in all of life's adventures. In return, you'll get a loyal companion who will make you laugh, keep you active, and love you with his whole heart.

Story
Lou is a sweet, gentle boy around 5 years old who is looking for a patient and loving home. He can be a little shy at first, but with kindness, understanding, and a little time, his true personality starts to shine. Lou is a very smart boy who just needs someone willing to help him build confidence at his own pace. Once he feels comfortable, he absolutely melts for affection—especially butt rubs! In fact, if you start giving him pets, don’t be surprised if he happily stays right there soaking up the love all day. Lou would do best with a family that understands that some dogs just need a little extra patience and reassurance. In return, you’ll gain a loyal, gentle companion who will quietly steal your heart. If you’re the kind of person who believes the shy ones are worth the time, Lou is ready to meet you.
