Story
August West was rescued from the city in August 2020 and has had a loving and peaceful home upstate ever since. He's about 6 years old - very obedient, loyal and well trained. He loves to cuddle and apart from one or two walks/day he mostly just lays around the house. He would do best in a home without children or other pets. Someone who can give him the love and attention he so deserves.

Story
Clementine has been waiting since we first got her in February 2021 to be adopted and we just know that she’ll make an amazing addition to a family willing to give her a chance! When Clemmy first came to us, we had pulled her off the euthanasia list at the NY ACC, where the insanely stressful kennel environment had caused her to completely shut down and she became a shell of herself. Once she was with us, we knew that it was going to take time for her to settle into her new routine and it took until the first snow for her to finally begin coming out of her shell and start to act like a dog just a little. But once we saw that glimpse of her personality, we knew she was going to be an amazing dog. And we were never happier to be right! Slowly over the next few months, Clementine let more and more of her personality show and she showed us that she is a beautiful soul who loves car rides, sleeping in front of the big window in her foster home, and playing with toys. She is great at fetch, loves going on hikes, and bonds strongly to her people. She is very smart, eager to please, and is a wonderful work buddy if you are still working virtually from home, and has often popped up in video chat work meetings with her foster family. She’s always up for whatever you want to do, whether it’s go for hikes or just curl up on the couch and cuddle. As long as she’s with her person, she’s a happy pup. She has come such a long way with her socialization with people and other dogs. She went from being shut down and refusing to even look at someone she didn’t know, to being willing to shake paw for anyone she meets! We'd love to see her be adopted as the only dog in a new home, so the attention could all be on her, but she would love to have playdates and go for walks with other dogs! Clementine deserves and will need a family willing to commit to her and stay committed. Clementine can be sensitive, especially to change, so being adopted and returned could be very hard on her. She’s flourished so much while she’s been with us, we would absolutely hate for her to retreat back into her shell and become that shut down dog we first met again. For this reason, we want to be sure her new family is ready to continue her training program, so that her adoption can be successful and so that she can continue to be the lovable goofball she’s shown us she truly is! Her adoption donation has generously been sponsored by Beans for Bullies Coffee Co (@beansforbulliescoffeeco), so now all we need to do is find the perfect family for her!

Story
Attention all families seeking THE PERFECT FAMILY PET!! Cleveland is simply amazing. I know a lot of rescues say their pets are amazing . But he truly is and it's the simplest way to describe him. He's playful, would love to have a canine buddy or a human sibling to pair up with. He's confident but not alpha in any way. He plays with puppies that are a fraction of his size. He's kennel trained. House trained . Rarely ever barks. And let's talk about walking on a leash😳just watch his video. He eats his breakfast and his dinner with another male buddy about his size and both of them share so nicely. He takes treats with the gentlest of nature . Cleveland is in a foster home in Memphis, Tn with a 3,7 and 11 year old human friends , 3 male dogs and 1 female and he is simply perfect ! Once an application has been submitted and approved I will gladly discuss, facetime, send photos and videos , etc of Cleveland and answer any and all questions about him. We use a transport company called rescue vet transport to get our pets from Memphis, Tennessee to the north east. They travel each weekend, leaving Memphis Friday morning around 6 AM and making stops along the route all the way as far north as West Greenwich Rhode Island. Once they leave Memphis they start a group chat with all adopters and the two drivers. Transport is an additional $185. If you would like to make Cleveland a part of your family, please follow the link below to our adoption application. https://forms.gle/APKvbgFJcaRvgKgk9

Sweet as sugar Princess is looking for her forever home! This baby loves to snuggle and hang out with her people. Look at that face! She is pretty chill for such a young dog (we think 1-2yo). The best home for this Princess would be one with teenage or older children, large dog savvy, and tons of love to give! Is that you? Email us about Princess today! She is in Connecticut and available for meet n greets!

Story
Hi there, I'm Stella, a 6-year-old Staffie Boxer mix who is ready to find my soulmate. I'm a brindle beauty who weighs 45 pounds of pure love. I'm spayed and vaccinated, so I'm all set to go home with you. I don't have any special needs, but I do have some special wants :) I want a family who can keep up with my high energy and enthusiasm for life. I’m an adventurous and active girl who loves to go on hikes! I enjoy exploring new places, sniffing new scents, and seeing new sights. I’m well-behaved on- and off-leash (with a Fi collar for safety of course), but I really want a home with a fenced yard where I can run and play. I want to be your loyal and faithful companion, who will always (try to) listen to your commands and will always cuddle with you on the couch. I'm good with children, but I am definitely too much for the little ones. I'm also good with other dogs I meet. I am a smart and independent girl who likes her own space and things. I'm being fostered in Sharon, Connecticut, but I'm ready to travel anywhere for love. If you're looking for a sweet and playful girl who will make you smile every day, swipe right and let's meet! I promise you won't regret it!

Story
Ben is a sweet boy but likes to check out humans from a distance at first. Once he decides your OK which happens pretty quickly, he is very friendly. He's OK on a leash after a few minutes of excitement. He has lots of Lab qualities, retrieving etc. He is a typical Lab/Staffie mix. He would have to be introduced to a doggie friend but so far seems OK with them. He will need someone who can give him a routine and boundaries. He would be best in a home with kids over 10 years old. He loves his toys and loves to play. And look at that smile!
