Story
Meet Paco Paco was found in an abandoned in an empty apartment in NYC. He was then brought to the New York Animal Care Centers. At the shelter he was shy but he had a good behavior evaluation. The shelter was getting full and his time was coming to and end. Luckily a wonderful woman came to his rescue and saved his life. These are PACO'S STATS: Approximate age 5 Approximate weight 55 Lbs Breed (s) Amstaff Spayed or neutered? Neutered Good with: kids? Yes older ones strangers? Slow introduction other dogs? Good with well-balanced dogs cats? Not tested On leash? Usually good and easy to correct if he gets a little excited and pulls Housetrained? Yes Crate trained? Yes Paco is a very smart dog who loves learning and having a routine. He’d do best with a person or a family who has some dog experience and can give him clear, positive guidance. Paco is strong and athletic- perfect for runs and outdoor adventures- but he’s also a big softie who loves to cuddle up and relax. Because Paco is strong and naturally protective, he feels best when new people and places are introduced to him with calm guidance and reassurance. Paco is the best of both worlds — playful and full of energy, but also a big sweetheart who loves to cuddle. He has the cutest droopy lips and a face you’ll fall in love with right away. Paco is athletic and would make a great running or hiking buddy, but he’s just as happy curling up next to you after a fun day. He knows all his basic commands like sit, stay, and leave it, and he’ll even go to his bed when you ask him. He’s crate trained, fully housebroken, and gets along great with other dogs. Paco has a heart full of love and can’t wait to find someone to share it with.

Story
Hi there, I'm Stella, a 6-year-old Staffie Boxer mix who is ready to find my soulmate. I'm a brindle beauty who weighs 45 pounds of pure love. I'm spayed and vaccinated, so I'm all set to go home with you. I don't have any special needs, but I do have some special wants :) I want a family who can keep up with my high energy and enthusiasm for life. I’m an adventurous and active girl who loves to go on hikes! I enjoy exploring new places, sniffing new scents, and seeing new sights. I’m well-behaved on- and off-leash (with a Fi collar for safety of course), but I really want a home with a fenced yard where I can run and play. I want to be your loyal and faithful companion, who will always (try to) listen to your commands and will always cuddle with you on the couch. I'm good with children, but I am definitely too much for the little ones. I'm also good with other dogs I meet. I am a smart and independent girl who likes her own space and things. I'm being fostered in Sharon, Connecticut, but I'm ready to travel anywhere for love. If you're looking for a sweet and playful girl who will make you smile every day, swipe right and let's meet! I promise you won't regret it!

Story
Sweet, easygoing, and a love bug — Hunter is the kind of dog who just wants to be close to you! Hunter is a 36-pound pocket pup with a gentle soul and wonderful manners. He’s incredibly friendly, knows “sit,” and takes treats softly from your hand. His calm, easygoing personality makes him a joy to have around. At 2 years old, he’s past the puppy chaos but still young enough for adventures and playtime. He gets along beautifully with other dogs and appears to be house-trained. Whether he’s leaning into you for pets or curling up beside you at the end of the day, Hunter’s happiest place is right next to his people. He’s neutered, fully vaccinated, and ready to start his next chapter with a family who will love him as much as he loves in return. Dogs like Hunter don't last long! Interested in this love bug? Reach out — we’d love to tell you more about this special boy.

Story
Meet Basil — a gentle boy with the world’s biggest heart. If you’re looking for a loyal best friend who will adore you unconditionally, look no further. Basil is a big, goofy, soulful boy who has been patiently waiting for someone to choose him… Basil is the definition of a “marshmallow dog” — sweet, sensitive, affectionate, and deeply loyal. He’s the type of dog who leans his whole body into you during cuddles, follows you from room to room with quiet devotion, and does a little happy dance when you scratch behind his ears. He LOVES: • curling up next to you on the couch • sunbathing in the yard • squeaky toys (especially the ones he thinks he’s hiding from you) • being told he’s a good boy (he lives for this) He’s a big guy with an even bigger heart — once he bonds with you, you’ll wonder how you ever lived without him. ❤️ Why We Love Him Basil has captured the hearts of every volunteer who’s met him. He’s the dog who gently puts his head in your lap when you’re having a bad day. The dog who does a little wiggle when you walk in, even if you were gone only 10 minutes. The dog who is endlessly grateful for love, kindness, and consistency. You can feel Basil’s sweetness the moment you meet him — he’s that special. Dear Forever Family, My name is Basil, and I’ve been waiting a long time to meet you. I don’t know your face yet, but I think about you every day. I imagine the sound of your footsteps coming down the hall. I imagine the spot on the couch where I’ll curl up next to you. I imagine the walks we’ll take, the quiet moments we’ll share, and the home we’ll build together. I haven’t had it easy, but I’ve tried so hard to be brave. I’m a big guy, but my heart is soft. I do especially well with sweet, gentle girls, but I’ve even made some nice boy dog friends too. I promise I will give you everything I have. My loyalty. My cuddles. My goofy wiggles when you come home. My quiet moments where I rest my head in your lap just because it feels safe. I don’t need much. A fenced yard would make me so happy. A calm home where I can relax. Maybe a friendly dog sibling who won’t mind showing me the ropes. Mostly, I just need someone who will choose me for the dog I am — a loving, hopeful, gentle soul with so much affection to give. I’ve been waiting a long time for you. When you find me, I’ll know. Love, Basil 🏠 Basil Is Ready to Go Home He is: • neutered • up to date on vaccines • microchipped • healthy • fully vetted and ready for adoption Contact us about Basil today!
