Vinny was completely vetted on 10/31/22 and is microchipped. He needs to be the only pet as he is not good with other dogs and cats. He weighed 60 lbs. at the time of vetting. He came to us from an abusive situation where he was starved. He is friendly with adults but probably not good with kids. Please send your phone number to learn more about Vinny.June 4, 2023, 8:52 am

Story
Collette is located in TEXAS. There are not enough homes for all the unwanted dogs down there, so she is willing to relocate for a good, loving, forever home. Collette was a young puppy running the streets in a small coastal community. A nice lady rescued her and cared for her until we had room to take her into our rescue. Collette is an American Staffordshire terrier - probably a mix - going on two years of age and weighing around 60 pounds. She grew up around cats, children, and other dogs - so she is good with all of them. Collette is a very sweet girl. She is crate trained, fairly well-housetrained, and good in the house. But we have seen her use the pee pads on occasion. Collette loves playing with toys and other dogs. She is normally at the bottom of the dog pile and we have to make sure that the other dogs are not being too rough with her. Collette is a typical wiggly butt pibble. She is sweet and submissive and just wants to be loved. But doesn't realize her size, so she can be a bit of a bruiser. She only needs additional obedience training. Collette will sit for treats, walks well on a leash, and rides well in a vehicle. She also obeys fairly well and comes when called. Collette must be in the house as a loved member of the family. She must be walked on a leash and would like a large fenced yard to run and play. Collette is healthy. She is spayed, fully vaccinated (DAPPvL2, Bordatella, rabies), and microchipped. She is negative for heartworms and receives monthly heartworm and flea prevention. Collettes' adoption fee includes the cost of ground transport via Rescue Road Trips for pickup in Zanesville Ohio. She is being fostered in Texas and we do not have the resources to send her north until after she is adopted. Skip is a wonderful adult dog who was picked up as a stray. He was SO happy to be rescued that he cried. Skip's foster says he is a 'perfect dog.' He loves kids, other dogs, cats, the foster's pet lizard and all humans. Skip is playful and loves to cuddle. He is house-trained and neutered and ready for his furever home! Story
We got Tucker about 6 years ago from a shelter in North Carolina he is about 7 years old, 60ish pounds, and a bundle of love. He is the snuggliest dog you will ever meet and he will make you feel the the most important person. He lays like a corgi, sits like a human, and is slightly similar to a bowling ball. He loves fetch and tugowar. He knows sit, stay, drop, go to your place (goes on his bed), and shake. He is house trained and crate trained. Unfortunately, our family dynamic has changed. I am a single mother with 3 dogs. I am unable to give them the attention they deserve. He is an amazing dog and he needs someone who is able to give him the time and attention he deserves.

Story
Super friendly cuddly boy. Obsidian was a stray that just kinda came up to my fiance in the car and was just so excited to be noticed. He tried to post about a found dog but got no response so we tried getting him introduced to our pets. Unfortunately our girl is older and has a hard time handling all his energy so we have to keep then separate. He does get to sniff at our cat but she's older and he knows she doesn't want to play. Obi loves to get belly rubs and give so many kisses. He wants to be everyone ones friend which can sometimes make him to excited for other animals. He is great with pets that match his energy or he learns to stay away from (have guinea pigs he ignores and shares a bedroom with a tortoise for a bit). He really just needs a place to run and play and get all the attention he deserves because with my schedule and having to alternate dogs it's hard to give him enough time.

Story
Willie is coming from a difficult situation, but will be a great dog for the right person. He is around 4-5 years old. He has a history of attacking smaller animals, so his new home should not have other pets. Due to this, we've had to keep him separated from our other pets and he is not receiving the love and attention he deserves. Ideally, his new home would be with someone who has the time and space to exercise and play with him. Also, his new owner should be someone with experience training a dog. He's loving and playful with his people and I think there's potential to socialize him with other dogs in the future as long as it's with someone experienced. I have no knowledge of how he interacts with children, but I wouldn't recommend a home with little ones either. He has never been aggressive towards people in any way, but without having firsthand knowledge of his behavior with kids, I can't responsibly say it would be ok.
