Story
Denver is a playful, energetic, & healthy five year old American Bully that LOVES all things affection and play. He makes a wonderful companion or family dog, especially one with kids. Denver is more play or work driven than food, which makes him eager to learn and relatively easy to train. He is extremely intelligent and has learned his commands in English and Swahili. His favorite things to do are going to the park, playing hide and seek with his toys, running or laying out in the backyard and snuggling up with the family! He is always eager to please and willing to bring light and joy into the lives of everyone he loves.

Story
George AKA Brutus as his foster says he seems to be responsive to, is a sweetie pie who is obsessed with children. He was abandoned with a female bully but they became separated, and he spent some days outside. Once he got to the vet it was discovered he had a head injury. We aren't sure what caused it however they said it was very recent. He is learning to trust that he won't be left outside alone with his foster helping him overcome this fear. So far, he seems to get along well with other dogs, though his contact has been super limited he seems to be unaffected by them. He ran into his fosters home and claimed a spot on her couch immediately. He's very curious and once inside he made himself home in seconds.

He came to us from an abusive situation where he was starved. He is friendly with adults but probably not good with kids. Story
Diamond is a beautiful little girl who has been through a lot of heartache in her young life. She was tied outside to brave the elements 24/7 with a wire tied around her neck. She was taken to a jigh kill Texas shelter and survived death in the euthanasia room not once, but twice. All she wants is to find someone to love and to love her back. To give her the life that she deserves and so desperately longs for. Diamond seems to be a little bit prey driven, probably from living outside her entire life.So a home with no pocket pets, cats or small dogs is probably best. A fenced yard is a plus, but not absolutely necessary. She is great on a leash and really enjoys walks. This little sweetheart is UTD on vaccines, Spayed, de wormed, flea treated, heart worm tested( negative) and micro chipped. If you would like to meet Diamond, please submit an application on our website, canaananimalsanctuary.org.

Story
Miss Wednesday is ready to meet you! Unfortunately Wednesday is having a rough stay in the shelter, and is more than ready to find her furever family. Wednesday is a sweet, happy girl who absolutely adores people once she gets to know them. She appears to be potty trained, walks well on leash, and already knows a few skills like "sit"! Wednesday is a big fan of squeaky toys, and loves to play fetch or tug with people. Wednesday has done well with other dogs. If you have other animals in your home, we recommend bringing them in for a meet and greet before taking Wednesday home. If you are interested in meeting with Wednesday, please submit an adoption form on our website: fairfieldcountydogs.com and we will contact you to arrange a time to visit. Story
Gypsys DNA test results are mostly Boxer, Husky, and German Shepherd. She bounces on her front legs when she is excited or wants something (we now know that comes from the Boxer in her). Gypsy is around 5 years of age and weighs 70 pounds. Gypsy came from a bad home. She was not being fed and was severely underweight. So the people surrendered Gypsy and her puppies to animal control to avoid animal cruelty charges. We don't know why Gypsy has not been adopted yet. She is a very good girl and is the most obedient dog I have ever seen. She knows how to sit and comes when called. She is housetrained and very well behaved in the house. She likes her crate and sleeps in it with the door open. She walks well on a leash and rides well in a vehicle. Gypsy loves her toys, especially squeaky ones, and she loves playing fetch. Gypsy is active - she loves to run and play with toys and other dogs. She loves water and lays in the wading pool when it is hot, and we bet she would love snow. She gets excited about squirrels, cats, and critters on the other side of the fence. Gypsy normally does well with all dogs but gets along best with male dogs. She would also prefer a home without annoying toy dogs or puppies that get in her face. Gypsy loves human attention and is good with children. Gypsy is smart and might benefit from more obedience training from someone firm, patient, and loving. Gypsy is a sweet dog. She gets attached to her human and likes to lay under my desk when I work on the computer. Gypsy must be in the house as a loved family member. She must be walked on a leash and have a yard with a 6' fence to run and play. Gypsy spayed, tattooed, fully vaccinated (DAPPvL2, Bordatella, rabies), and microchipped. Gypsy had a light case of heartworms when we first got her. She is now heartworm-free and receives monthly heartworm and flea prevention. Gypsy is located in Texas but can be transported after she is adopted. Her adoption fee includes the cost of ground transport by a reputable and trusted transport company to a location close to you. Stops include, but are not limited to, Cincinnati, Columbus, or Akron OH. Please email 2manydogstx@gmail.com if you would like to make this amazing girl part of your family! Story
Meet Goldie! Goldie is 1-2 year old Boxer mix who was found roaming the streets in Columbus. Luckily, she found a wonderful family to take her in and reached out to PetPromise to help find her forever family. Goldie loves to play with other dogs, toys and cuddle. She is learning to love crate time and is currently working on house training. She gets along well with other dogs and cats. She quickly learned how to “sit” and we have no doubt she can learn many more tricks. She would do well in an active home with another active dog to play with. She is working on potty training and doing well with consistent positive reinforcement. She is very treat motivated and learning very quickly. She has already mastered sit! Goldie is also working on her crate training. She is doing excellent. Layla is great with other dogs! She will ready for obedience classes when she is adopted. We HIGHLY encourage obedience/behavior training for all of our pups once adopted into their forever homes. If you live an active lifestyle and are ready to bring this adorable girl into you home, please apply to meet her at PetPromise.org Please fill out an adoption application at PetPromise.org We only adopt out in Columbus, Ohio area only. Adoption fee is $400

Story
BasilMaleAge: 11.5 yearsWeight: 60 lbsBreed: English Bulldog/Beagle Mix Hey there, I’m Basil. I am a happy and loving guy who would do best in a home without other dogs or kids. I really don’t have much interest in cats, so a home with cats would be just fine.  I am crate trained, but don’t need to be in a crate when you are gone. I am house trained, but I do wear a wrap inside since I am a senior gentleman. I do well on a leash too (I do pull some with excitement, but my harness helps Immensely). I love to wander around the backyard, travel with my human, take naps with my human or just nap by myself on a comfy bed or sofa. My foster mom says I am soulful and loving and I just want to be your best friend. I would love to be with you as much as possible. I also love a good bone, all the treats and a stuffed Kong. I am also on renal support prescription dogfood that will need to continue in my new home and I have a heart murmur that will need monitored yearly (and is common for my breed), but neither of these slow me down. I can’t wait to find my own forever family who will show me all the love and attention I deserve.  If you are interested in meeting Basil apply at www.causeforcanines.org Adoption fee: $225 Must be an Ohio resident & 23 or older. No Children. ##1633287##
