Story
A Letter From Goofy's Foster Mom Goofy came to me unsure, quiet, and carrying a lot of hesitation - after all, he’s been a shelter dog since May. Within days, I watched him start to believe in himself again. He is one of those rare souls who tries so hard to be brave, even when the world feels big. And when he finally decides you’re safe? His whole body softens, his tail starts wagging, and he melts into you with a kind of gratitude you can feel. He’s wonderfully behaved in the house: fully house trained, crate trained, and happiest curled up in a blanket or laying his head on your lap. He adores his stuffies — especially his little cow, which he looks for every night before tucking himself into bed. It’s impossible to watch him proudly carrying that cow without smiling. Goofy loves a quick round of ball, a gentle walk, and being near his person. He rides beautifully in the car, does great on walks, and never says no to a treat. At his core, he is a snuggler — a sweet, sensitive boy who just wants to belong again. He can be unsure with new people at first, but he warms beautifully with patience, calm energy, and a few tossed treats. Once he chooses you, he loves you with a deep, sincere loyalty that’s impossible not to fall for. He’s thoughtful, gentle, and simply needs someone who will meet him where he is and celebrate how far he’s come. Watching him rebuild his confidence has been one of the most special parts of fostering him. He isn’t a “project dog.” He is a good dog who just needed a soft place to land — and he’s ready for a forever home that gives him the gentleness, steadiness, and love he’s been missing. If you’re looking for a dog who will adore you, who will try his hardest every single day, and who will meet you with quiet companionship and a tender heart… Goofy is ready. He deserves the next chapter of his life to be the best. With love, Goofy’s Foster Mom 🤍

Story
Diamond is a beautiful little girl who has been through a lot of heartache in her young life. She was tied outside to brave the elements 24/7 with a wire tied around her neck. She was taken to a jigh kill Texas shelter and survived death in the euthanasia room not once, but twice. All she wants is to find someone to love and to love her back. To give her the life that she deserves and so desperately longs for. Diamond seems to be a little bit prey driven, probably from living outside her entire life.So a home with no pocket pets, cats or small dogs is probably best. A fenced yard is a plus, but not absolutely necessary. She is great on a leash and really enjoys walks. This little sweetheart is UTD on vaccines, Spayed, de wormed, flea treated, heart worm tested( negative) and micro chipped. If you would like to meet Diamond, please submit an application on our website, canaananimalsanctuary.org.

Story
Say Hi to George!  This poor pup has spent his whole life in a shelter. At 1 year old he has never had a home of his own.    George was found as a puppy running the streets with his mom. She has since been adopted and it’s now George’s turn for happily ever after !!    He is quite literally a super mutt !! We did his DNA and it came back as ….  Boxer…27.1% Border Collie…15.9% Norwegian Elkhound…14.2% Catahoula Leopard Dog…14.1% Golden Retriever…13.5% Supermutt…15.2% (mix of GSD, Lab, and Mountain Cur)    Who would have guessed?!    He went through our prison training program and did great! But he will need a very patient owner to help him continue to grow and figure out life isn’t so scary. George is looking for a home with a fenced yard, no young children and some furry siblings. He loves having other dogs around !    George is potty trained, crate trained and does well on a leash. He is also neutered, fully vaccinated, HW negative and on prevention.    If you are ready to welcome George with open arms, please apply to adopt at www.prodogsohio.org/adoptables  ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We appreciate your support, in order to help us continue to rescue dogs! Donations can be made via our PayPal account - info@prodogsohio.org. You must be willing to commute to the location that the pet is being fostered in order to be eligible to adopt. We do not ship our pets. We also require that you personally bring the pet back to us should the adoption not work out.   We do NOT negotiate adoption fees. All money goes to support our rescue operation. We are 100% volunteered based. We require your current dog(s) to be current on vaccines and heartworm prevention.  Apply online at www.prodogsohio.org, under the Adoptables tab. Story
My name is Chloe and I’m about 6 years old. I’m a boxer mix but my energy level is medium to low. I'm a little on the shy side and my favorite things to do are: lounge around with you and watch Netflix marathons, chew on my bones, watch the squirrels in the front window, and go on short walks. I’m not quite sure what toys are for but occasionally I like a soft squeaky one. I am potty trained, like my crate with a soft pillow or blanket, I know my basic sit command, and do well with car rides.  I’m super sweet but I’m still a little nervous around some people. I just need a little bit to warm up and my bouncy personality will come out! I like other dogs but I really don’t know how to play with them too much. Older kids are ok, but it’s best the kids have good manners since too much chaos gets me nervous. I have plenty of kisses and cuddles to share, just give me time to warm up and I’ll give you my whole heart forever!  My adoption fee is $350 and you can meet me by submitting and application at rescuedohio.org! ##607636##

Story
Say hi to Lorelai!! This sweet 1 year old girl came to us from an Amish puppy mill. She spent the first year of her life in a kennel with little to no human interaction. She has now completed our prison training program and is ready to find her happily ever after!   Lorelai will require a very patient family who understands she is still learning what love and a home is all about. She is very reserved in new environments, but is a lover once she warms up!   Her ideal home would be with adults only, or older kids, as young kids are too noisy and fast ;), have a fenced in backyard so she can safely explore, and someone committed to showing her life is GOOD and humans can be loving.    She does well with other dogs and cats, but does not require another dog in her forever home.   Lorelai is spayed, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, and heartworm negative. She does have a grade 2 out of 6 heart murmur but it is not effecting her life at all. She has no exercise intolerance and underwent anesthesia for her spay without any complications. It will just need monitored with her family vet.   She is crate trained, house trained and knows her basic commands. If you are interested in adopting Lorelai please visit our website and complete an adoption application: https://www.prodogsohio.org/  ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We appreciate your support, in order to help us continue to rescue dogs!
