Hello, my name is Boxer. I was left in a backyard for 7 years and NEVER went to the vets office until I came to Ruff Life Rescue. I am a very happy high energy dog that just wants a family to LOVE me. I was NOT socialized so i need to be the ONLY dog in the home. I LOVE people but I dont know how to play with other animals :(. I have neutered, chipped and UTD on shots. You can see videos of me on Ruff Life Rescues facebook page.

Story
Flint Needs a Foster or permanent home. He is a 70 pound pittie. While he may have been born with deformed front legs he does not let that stop him and he can move quicker than you’d expect for a big guy on two legs. While he does take extra work, he will show you his appreciation in his love. He is extremely attentive to his surroundings and very protective of his space. Flint would do best as the only animal in the home although he does love playing with other pups when properly introduced. He does have food aggression issues to work through. Once Flint has deemed you his human, he loves to greet you with hugs while standing on his back legs. When given the chance he will sit in your lap, as sometimes he forgets he is a large dog. He loves being outside soaking up the fresh air and smelling everything. He enjoys “walks” right now being pulled around in a wagon. He will play tug of war with his rope and becomes more active the more comfortable he gets. Flint hates windshield wipers and garage doors for some unknown reason. He has made progress with training and has caught on to stay, no and lay down commands in a little over a month. He mostly recognizes his name (when he’s choosing not to be stubborn). He is working on crate training at night and when no one is home (having music on as a distraction seems to help him). He does need work in the potty training area. Currently he's keeps a wrap on him during the day and just try to take him out as often as possible and watch for his cues as he can’t just go straight to the door to tell you. In the medical front, he is up to date on all vaccines. He has a wound on his right front leg that is slowly healing up and will continue to need to be managed as he utilizes that leg to help hobble around. He does appear to have an allergy of some sort and has been taking Benadryl to help with itchy skin but he has an appointment this week for a check up and the vet will most likely switch him to a more specialized medicine to help with this. We are in the process of getting him a four wheel wheelchair with the help of an organization to help him be more mobile. We have also reached out to a company to possibly get a sleeve made to cover his arm he uses for stabilization to protect it more. Flint is an amazing guy who has overcome a lot and needs an equally amazing human to be patient, understanding and willing to work with him. Story
. Hi, my name is Daisy! I am a 3-4 year old, 44lbs staffy mix. I am the best of both worlds: I can lounge around with my humans like a big couch potato, but also love to play with my puppy-like energy. A few of my favorite things to do are: cuddling with my people, going on fun walkies or jogs, playing tuggy with one of my many rope toys, or cobbing with my best friend, the stuffed toy turtle, named Turty. I've had him since my current parents brought me home for the first time 2 years ago. I am fully house trained and know the commands: sit, stay, leave it, come back, off, down, shake, high-five, and "can she dance?". I REALLY love my people and want to please above all things. That being said, due to some past trauma, I do not get along with other dogs or animals and need to be the only pet in the home. I am so loved and truly feel like the most special girl with the potential to bring so much joy to someone's life. My parents have experienced a lot of loss recently with the unexpected loss of their mother-in-law. This and a sick family member back home on the east coast is the reason I am looking for a new home and family to love.
