Story
Hi, I`m Popper.People say everyone deserves a second chance. I sure hope that`s true, because I`m ready for mine.At some point, I had a home. Then one day, I didn`t. I was left to figure out the world on my own, and it`s taken me a little while to believe that people can be kind again. But every day, I`m learning that life doesn`t have to be scary.I`m about 3 years old, around 41 pounds, and still discovering what it`s like to just be a dog. Since I didn`t get much exposure to new people, places, or experiences when I was younger, some things are still overwhelming. I can be shy with women and especially nervous around men at first, but if you`ll give me a little patience and let me move at my own pace, you`ll see my true personality shine.Once I know you`re safe, I become incredibly loyal. I love being with my people, I`m eager to please, and I`m one smart cookie! I already know `sit,` I`m learning more every day, and if you have treats, you`ve got my full attention. Seriously—snacks are the fastest way to my heart.I ride wonderfully in the car, enjoy walks, and my leash skills improve every day. I`m still working on my housetraining, but I`m making progress. I love being outside where I can run and play, so you`ll want to keep me safely leashed or in a secure area since I can be a runner if given the opportunity. My guardian has discovered that I`d do best with an experienced adopter who understands that building confidence takes time. I may be able to live with another calm, patient dog after slow introductions, but I don`t enjoy pushy personalities. I haven`t met cats yet, and while I`ve done well with teenagers, I haven`t been around younger children.Everyone notices my striking ice-blue eyes, but I hope they`ll also notice my heart. Underneath my cautious exterior is a goofy, loving boy who wants nothing more than to belong. Every new experience helps me grow a little braver, and every kind word reminds me that the world isn`t such a scary place after all.I`m not looking for a perfect family. I`m looking for a patient one. Someone who will continue helping me discover all the wonderful things life has to offer, celebrate every little victory, and never give up on me.I`ve already survived being left behind. Now I`m ready to find the home that will never let me go.Could that be with you?My adoption fee includes up-to-date vaccinations, dewormer, and heartworm/flea pr

Story
Hi, I’m Sanders — your friendly neighborhood gentle giant! Not too long ago, I was found tied up in the rain. I might have been out there a couple of days, but I never stopped believing someone would help me. Before that, it’s clear I was loved and cared for, and I still carry that same loving, hopeful spirit today.I am a 4-year-old Terrier mix. I absolutely adore every person I meet. Seriously — I don’t have a mean bone in my body! I’m a big ol’ snuggler who thinks he’s a lap dog, and I’ll happily give you hugs and soak up every bit of affection you offer. I love toys, playtime, and being part of whatever you’re doing.I haven’t had one-on-one dog meetups yet, but I’ve greeted dogs of all sizes through the fence and done great! I’m also pretty proud of how well I do with routine. I am potty-trained, I’m crate trained, and I know how to sit for treats (I really want to make you happy). Some people judge bully breeds, but I like to show them the truth — we’re just big babies at heart. If you’re looking for a sweet, snuggly companion who will love you with his whole soul, I’m your guy. Come meet me? I promise to bring all the cuddles!---My adoption fee includes up-to-date vaccinations, dewormer, and heartworm/flea prevention. Plus, a microchip that is already registered to you! What more could you ask for?If my bio shows “Spay/Neutered” with a checkmark, I have already been altered; if you do not see this listed, my surgery is still scheduled and a refundable spay/neuter deposit will be required, which will be returned within 10 business days after my procedure is completed. If you`d like to meet me, please fill out an application on our website, PawmettoLifeline.org.Adoptions are by appointment Tuesday through Thursday. On Fridays and Saturdays, you’re welcome to walk in anytime between 10:00am and 5:00pm. Please note that we’re closed for adoptions on Sundays and Mondays.

Story
Meet Cannon Cannon is a sweet, loving boy who is ready to discover all the wonderful things a good life has to offer. He wants to be wherever you are and would happily soak up all the love and attention you’re willing to give. Cannon will go into his crate on his own, although he’s not quite convinced that staying there is a great idea yet! He will definitely voice his opinion until he settles down and relaxes. The good news? He sleeps through the night like a big boy! Potty training is still a work in progress, but he’s learning every day. His crate is always clean and dry, and with patience, consistency, and a little guidance from his forever family, I’m confident he’ll get there.Playing with toys is one of Cannon’s absolute favorite things. He loves chasing them, and if you throw one, there’s a good chance he’ll bring it right back to you! Once he’s worn himself out, he’ll find a cozy spot and happily settle in for a good chew. He is a HARD chewer, so he’ll need durable, tough toys and some continued guidance about which things are appropriate for chewing. Cannon can be a little wary of new people at first, but once he gets to know you, he warms up. A confident, friendly fur brother or sister would be wonderful for him. Having another dog to show him the ropes, give him confidence, and help him feel safe could make an enormous difference in his world. Cannon has so much love to give, and I truly believe his best days are still ahead of him. He just needs someone willing to give him the patience, guidance, consistency, and love he deserves. He’s ready to learn what it means to be someone’s very good boy. My adoption fee includes up-to-date vaccinations, dewormer, and heartworm/flea prevention. Plus, a microchip that is already registered to you! What more could you ask for?If my bio shows “Spay/Neutered” with a checkmark, I have already been altered; if you do not see this listed, my surgery is still scheduled and a refundable spay/neuter deposit will be required, which will be returned within 24 hours after my procedure is completed. If you`d like to meet me, please fill out an application on our website, PawmettoLifeline.org.Adoptions are by appointment Tuesday through Thursday. Story
I’m Lady, a sweet terrier mix with a heart-shaped patch on my side—and I think that’s a pretty good sign of just how much love I have to give!I’m a friendly, adaptable girl who loves being around people and happily welcomes both men and women. I’ve also done well around children from preschool age through the teen years. I’m friendly with both big and small dogs, walk nicely on a leash, and enjoy spending time outside.I’m housetrained, I don’t climb fences, and I’m not a shredder or an escape artist. I’m also gentle when taking treats and have never been known to tear up toys or other things. My crate skills are still a work in progress, but I’m learning!I’ve got the kind of sweet, loyal personality that would make me a wonderful companion for a single person, couple, or family. I aim to please, I’m easygoing and adaptable, and I’m ready to give my whole heart to someone who will love me right back.If you’re looking for a loyal little companion with a big heart, I might just be your Lady!My adoption fee includes up-to-date vaccinations, dewormer, and heartworm/flea prevention.
