I REALLY COULDN’T HELP MYSELF!! I took a likin’ to that volunteer who took me outside to take my pictures. I’m Otis by the way... In my defense I have had a hard life so far…chained, hungry & now deserted at this place with my 2 gal pals. Well…the volunteer was kind, talked so sweet to me & petted me. Really….I am just a big baby who wanted to crawl in her lap! I HAD to try to give her a kiss! Guess what! SHE LET ME! I am really a laidback sweet fellow looking for love. I am a 2 yr old male Staffordshire terrier mix who weighs 47 lbs. Heartworm positive but Shelter Volunteer Network has a program to pay for my treatment.

Hi there! I’m Aubrey, a sweet and loyal girl who’s just waiting to find my person. I might be a little cautious when we first meet, but give me a moment — once I know you’re kind, I’ll light up with the biggest smile, wag my little nub like crazy, and run straight to you like we’ve been best friends forever.I adore my human friends and love being near them. Whether we’re curled up on the couch (my favorite!) or out in the yard playing, I just want to be part of your world. I’m house and crate trained — though I should mention, I’m a bit of a Houdini when it comes to crates. I’m smart like that!I do well with dogs my size after a proper intro, and I’d love a home where I can be both your snuggle buddy and your playmate. I’m the perfect mix of lazy day lounger and fun-time friend. If you’re looking for a clever, affectionate companion who will love you deeply and keep you smiling, come meet me. I think we could be a perfect match. My adoption fee of $50 includes up-to-date vaccinations, dewormer, and heartworm/flea prevention. Plus, a microchip that is already registered to you! What more could you ask for?If you`d like to meet me, please fill out an application on our website, PawmettoLifeline.org. Adoptions are by appointment Tuesday through Thursday, Friday and Saturday are walk in from 10-5. Please fill out the online application at www.pawmettolifeline.org

Story
I’m Arabella (Bella for short)—an energetic, affectionate, and incredibly loyal pup! My foster family has loved me since November 2023, and if it weren’t for their cats and my need to be the boss around small dogs, they would have kept me forever.I’d thrive best as the only pet in the home or with larger, easygoing dogs who can handle my playful energy. I’m a total cuddle bug and absolutely love attention—one of my favorite things is stretching across your lap while you rub my belly!I need plenty of chew toys, and my favorites are Nylabone, Benebone, and Lumabone. But no stuffed or plastic toys for me—I’ll tear them apart and try to eat them. I love running and chasing squirrels, so a big yard is a must! Since I also like to chase cars, cats, chickens, and ducks, I’d do best in a home with a securely fenced yard.I’m fully housetrained and love my crate—it’s my safe space. I’m also a car chaser, so I need careful supervision when outside. When meeting new people, I can be a mix of friendly, excited, and sometimes a little fearful at first, whether they’re men or women. I haven’t been around children yet, but because of my size and energy, I might not be the best fit for small kids or elderly folks.I get excited around other dogs—sometimes I’m friendly and playful, but other times I might bark or growl if I feel overwhelmed. I’m super enthusiastic at mealtime and take treats nicely, even when I’m excited. In the yard, I’m always playful and full of energy.I love toys, but I can be a bit possessive over them. I also tend to rip the stuffing out of plush toys, so it’s best to stick with durable chew options for me.If you’re looking for a fun, loving, and adventurous companion who will shower you with affection, I just might be your perfect match. Will you be my ‘forever lap’ for couch snuggles? I promise to love you forever! Adoption Fee: $50Arabella is part of our Home to Home Program. Story
Hi! My name is Sweetie, and yep—I live up to it! I’m a friendly, affectionate girl who loves being around people, especially the school-age kiddos in my foster home. I’ve been told I have a gentle, loving spirit, and while I may get a little excited sometimes, I’m always eager to please.I’m crate trained (I actually love my crate—it’s my cozy spot!), and I’m fully housetrained too. I already know how to sit, and with a little attention and consistency, I’d love to learn even more tricks for treats. I`m easygoing around big dogs and curious about the world, though I haven’t met small dogs or other animals just yet.I haven’t had much leash experience, but I’m excited about everything, including time in the yard and mealtime—so get ready for tail wags and happy energy! I can be a bit of a runner if given the chance, so I’d do best in a home where I’m watched closely outdoors or have a secure yard.I’m a total lovebug and crave connection with my people. If you`re looking for a sweet, loyal girl who just wants to be your best friend, I might be the one!Adoption fee - $50Sweetie is part of our Home to Home Program. Story
Meet Bunny! This sweet, playful pup is full of personality and always ready for fun. Bunny is a toy-lover through and through—just make sure they’re super chewer approved, because she doesn’t mess around! Whether she’s entertaining herself or playing with another pup, Bunny brings energy and joy to every moment. She’d thrive with another playful dog but is also totally content being your one-and-only best friend. Bunny absolutely loves car rides—especially when she gets to stick her head out the window and feel the breeze. She’d likely have a blast at the dog park, too!Bunny is still working on her leash manners and tends to bolt through open doors, so she’ll need a little structure and someone who can help her stay safe. She hasn’t been around children yet, so a home with older kids or adults might be best while she continues to learn the ropes. If you`re looking for a fun, affectionate dog who’s always up for playtime and adventure, Bunny could be the perfect fit!My adoption fee of $50 includes up-to-date vaccinations, dewormer, and heartworm/flea prevention. Story
Hi there, my name is Queen, and I’m a lovable pittie with a big heart and an even bigger desire to be loved. Life didn’t start out easy for me, but I’m learning every day what it feels like to be safe, cared for, and part of a family—and let me tell you, it feels amazing.I love spending time in the backyard soaking up the sun and learning how to be social with my furry friends. I’m still a work in progress when it comes to trusting and routines, but I’m trying hard. I have some separation anxiety, and I’m learning that my crate can be a safe and comfy place just for me. It helps if you’re patient with me—I may need a little extra time, but I promise I’m worth it.I do need to eat separately from other pets, and my foster family makes sure all the food (and the cat box!) stays behind closed doors—turns out I had a bad habit of sneaking cat poop snacks, yuck! I get along just fine with cats otherwise. One of my favorite places to be is on the couch with my toys, getting cuddled and just soaking up the love. I’m super affectionate and well-behaved, and I adore people! I do get a little excited sometimes and may jump up to say hello—it’s just my way of saying, “I’m so happy to see you!” But I’m learning better manners every day.I enjoy leash walks—just short ones, please—and I’m doing really well with my training. One very important thing to know: I have a sensitive tummy and can’t eat pork, chicken, or beef. I’m currently on a lamb and rice diet, and it’s been perfect for me.I’ve come a long way, and I’m still learning what love means. If you have patience, a gentle heart, and a comfy spot on the couch, I’ll give you all the love I’ve got.Adoption fee: $50Queen is part of our Home to Home Program.
