Story
Alfie is a shy and gentle male Staffie mix, medium sized, who is well-behaved in the home, loves other dogs, and even gets along with cats! Alfie was really stressed in the shelter, so he`s now spending time in a foster home where he`s just adored by the family. Alfie is shy and takes a little time to warm up to new people, but once he gets to know you, he`ll be your best friend. He`s calm in the house, potty trained, sleeps well in his crate at night, and is generally just an easy dog to have around. His confidence is much better when he`s got a doggy friend at his side, so he`d do best in a home with another dog. He`s loving the companionship he`s getting from the female dog in his current foster home. Because he`s a little timid at times, he`d do best in a home without small children, and with an adopter that`ll take the time to build a loving bond with him. It`s easy to look at Alfie and think he`s just another `bully breed`, but he`s really a special, gentle, and affectionate boy who will be a wonderful family member in the right home. Potential adopters are welcome to talk with the foster family to learn more about Alfie.Alfie is currently in the Adoption Ambassador Foster Program. Foster take dogs that are available for adoption into their homes and help them get adopted. Interested in Alfie?! Meet Space Jam Sam, the happiest, goofiest boy you’ll ever meet! This sweet, affectionate pup is a total lovebug, always ready to soak up attention and give it right back. But what he lacks in finesse, he makes up for with enthusiasm- his happy, easygoing nature makes him a delight to be around. He’s the perfect mix of silly and snuggly, playful and peaceful, and he’s ready to bring a lifetime of love, laughter, and companionship to his future family. Story
Meet Fairyboat, a sweet ball of energy wrapped in pure affection. She’s got a big personality and an even bigger heart, always eager to shower her people with love, especially in the form of hugs and cuddles. Fairyboat is social, outgoing, and just a little bit mischievous, always looking for her next adventure (or belly rub). She’s playful and high-energy, sometimes forgetting her manners when greeting new dog friends- she tends to rush in full speed, eager to say hello! Because of this, she’d thrive with a calm, friendly dog who can match her enthusiasm or show her the ropes. She’s a quick learner and, with a little patience, will settle into her best-behaved self. Fairyboat is the kind of pup who wants to be right by your side, whether it’s tagging along for a car ride, playing with her favorite toys, or cuddling up after a long day. She’s great with kids and will keep your home filled with laughter and love. Come on over to Charleston Animal Society today to meet her for yourself! We`re on Remount Road in North Charleston!

Story
Hi, looking for a loving home for my sweet dog, Pisgah (Piggy). Shes been a part of our family since she was 3 months old. She will turn 10 on Mothers Day! She is a beautiful, athletic dog who absolutely loves to snuggle, give kisses, and enjoys swimming and going on walks. Her affectionate side is unmatched, and she really just wants to be a part of the pack. Unfortunately, with the arrival of our two young children, Pig has not adjusted well. Despite our best efforts, she has gotten increasingly reactive around the kids, especially with food and sometimes showing signs of guarding. We've tried to work through these behaviors, but it has become increasingly challenging to manage. Due to her reactivity and not getting along with other dogs, a home without small children or other pets would be the best fit for Pisgah moving forward,. She is healthy, spayed, and up to date on all vaccinations. She's a lovely dog who deserves a calm and peaceful environment where she can thrive.
