Story
Meet Bucky – our charming, drool-happy goofball! This 3-year-old sweetheart has been patiently waiting for a home since June 17, 2023, and he`s more than ready to find his person. When Bucky first comes out of his kennel, you’ll get a glimpse of his pent up playful energy — he needs a moment to get the zoomies out of his system. Give him a few minutes to shake off the shelter wiggles, and he settles into a sweet, steady companion. He loves treats (and takes them oh-so-gently), enjoys a good zoom around the play yard, and is a big fan of being pet. He’ll calmly stay by your side for as long as you`re willing to dish out the affection. When you`re done, he happily trots off to do a little solo sniffing. He is very proudly pro drool, but we think it just adds to his charm. He’s a medium-energy guy who can entertain himself or chill by your side. Come meet this lovable, low-key adventurer. He’s been overlooked for far too long, and his forever home could be just one visit away.

Story
Dawson is both clever and playful - those two traits combined always make for an interesting time! He`s sure to keep you on your toes! Dawson came into the shelter on 7/19/22 with some skin issues. Those issues have since cleared up nicely. Now when you look at him all you`ll see is a handsome happy boy! Dawson is an active boy who loves to run. He has a tendency to trot around like a pony, too. It`s adorable! His favorite thing in the world is to have you playfully chase after him. He`ll run up to you and grin, then dart away - just to tempt you into chasing after him! He`s just wanting to make sure you stay active too! Squeaky toys and treats are two more `likes` of his. Both are great ways to get his attention and make him come to you (without playing keep away). He takes those treats from your hand very gently, despite his playful nature. Dawson`s not all jokester, though. He`s got a sweet side too. He really enjoys and appreciates being pet. He`s a very happy boy who likes to act silly to make you happy too!

Story
This sweet soul is as resilient as she is loving. Gardenia came to us with an old scar along her back—an untold story from her past—but she hasn’t let it dim her gentle spirit. She’s a medium-energy girl who knows how to balance playful zoomies in the yard with quiet cuddle time by your side. Gardenia has proven she already has manners! She walks well on a leash, knows how to sit on command, and seems to already be potty trained. While she’s not much for toys (especially squeaky ones—they spook her a bit), she lives for treats and takes them oh-so-gently. This girl has a tender heart. She’ll sometimes lie down to make herself small, but with a little time and kindness, she’ll lean in for pets, offer sweet kisses, and nuzzle into you like she’s been yours forever. Gardenia is looking for a calm, patient home where she can feel secure and adored. Could that be with you?

Story
Lawrence has a naturally droopy face. That paired with his calm demeanor sometimes makes him come across as sad. He is a little sad that he doesn’t have a family to call his own…but mostly he just uses this appearance to encourage you to pet him more. He’s very loving and enjoys attention, but he can also keep himself amused by just sniffing around too. Lawrence has a lower energy level and is very easygoing. It doesn’t take much to keep him happy! He’s open to any and all treats and takes them gently from your hand, but he doesn’t seem to know any tricks yet. He is potty trained though and has proven himself to be a great leash walker though. He doesn’t pull at all! We think he’d make a great family dog.

Story
Easy, breezy, beautiful – Cover Girl. Rumor has it that slogan was made for our girl Breeze! She definitely looks like a Cover Girl with how beautiful she is, and how well she poses! She has an unforgettable smile and she’s a happy girl so you get to see it often. Breeze is always excited to get out of her kennel. She’s easy to work with though and doesn’t pull much. She’s prone to the zoomies when loose in the play yard and she makes some adorable funny faces while she runs. She’s got an average energy level. She’s playful and likes to run and play with toys, but she’s always gentle around people. This girl loves her snacks, but she’s always careful to take the treat nicely from your hand and she’ll sit and shake on command for one, and has been working on learning to lay on command. Breeze is happy to make friends with other dogs and enjoys attending in shelter playgroups.

Over-sized Lap Dog Alert!!! Hi, I’m Chester and I’m SUPER excited to meet you. I mean, no one has ever been as happy to see you as I will be. I can’t help it, I just think you’re great! I have 3 canine foster sisters right now; I was a little unsure at first but we all get along just fine now. Now my human foster sister, she’s my absolute favorite. We play this hide and seek game when she goes to school, where I go in her room and look for her until she gets home. It can take awhile, but I win every time! I’ll miss her so much when I go to my forever home, but I’ll be so excited to start my journey with my new forever family too! My foster mom says I’m a good boy- I know how to sit, wait for a command to eat, and shake. I need a little help walking on a leash, but that’s just because everything is so exciting! I have a good amount of energy and would be great for an active family, but I also love naps and cuddling- I’m a GREAT cuddler. My adoption fee is $100 in the Houston area, or $250 out of state(includes health certificate and travel fee). It includes all my vaccines, neuter, and microchip. What do you say, are you excited to meet me too? .   Fill out an app to meet me: https://toolkit.rescuegroups.org/of/f?c=SQYPSGVQMay 20, 2025, 11:26 pm

Story
Max is a 4 year old Boxer/Pit Bull mix looking for his forever home. Max enjoys car rides, going for walks, meeting new people, playing with toys, and cuddling on the couch. He is a very sweet and attentive dog. He learns new tricks very fast. Max has a medium level of energy. He can definitely keep up with long walks and new adventures but is just as happy to hang out around the house. Max is good with dogs his size or larger, but needs a home without small dogs and cats.
