Story
This is Waffles!  Waffles was found by a good samaritan who wasn't able to find her a home. Waffles was kept safe in boarding all summer but it wasn't the right environment for her. An employee took her home and immediately noticed the positive difference in Waffle. She is a very smart, loving young dog, about a year old. She is very athletic and has a lean muscular body. She loves people and dogs. She is prospering in her foster home where she has dogs to match her energy and a foster family that are teaching her how to be part of a family. She isn't super keen on her kennel but is learning that it is a safe place to hang out. She likes chewing on bones and playing with toys. She has been nicknamed "Door stop" because she is always beside you when you leave a room (a behavior that she is working on). She loves to hold down the couch and if given the opportunity will gladly keep you company in bed. She redirects easily and wants to be a good girl. She is not food or toy aggressive. She has the makings to be a great family dog or outdoor partner for an active person. She just needs the right person to continue her training and development. Waffles has been spayed, is current on her vaccinations and microchipped.  Her adoption fee is $550    and includes her transportation to her new home in VA.  SHE IS IN A LOVING FOSTER HOME IN MEMPHIS, TN AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED TO HER NEW HOME ONCE ADOPTED!  New Beginnings Animal Rescue uses  a licensed and registered USDA transport company.      If you would like to apply to adopt Waffles, please fill out our online application here:  http://www.newbeginningsanimalrescue.net.  Any questions, please email us at:  newbeginnigs_animalrescue@yahoo.com.   THANK YOU FOR CONSIDERING ADOPTING A RESCUED PET! *AVA IS IN HER FOSTER HOME IN MEMPHIS, TN AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED TO VA ONCE SHE IS ADOPTED* This smiling girl is Ava. She is almost a year old and about 45lbs. Ava was saved from the critical list at Memphis animal shelter. She is a happy girl, that enjoys being with her humans. She loves cuddling and giving kisses. She is good with other dogs. STAR IS IN HER FOSTER HOME IN MEMPHIS, TN, AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED TO VA ONCE ADOPTED!     Star came into the rescue on September 21st and had 9 puppies October 8th! She was a wonderful, nurturing momma and has since loved every single puppy she is around! She's nurturing with a rough & rowdy playstyle. You can't slow this gal down! She loves to eat, play and chase her cat siblings playfully, but she scares them to death. She walks well on a leash and loves to go on rides in a car! She loves to GO! She gets excited if you pick up a leash. She gets along with dogs of all sizes and genders and respects them if they think they're dominant. Story
AVAILABLE for ADOPTION! Waynesboro, Va. On behalf of Virginia Paws for Pits, We are proud to announce that Simba is ready to start the search for his forever home! Simba is a 6-7 year old mini-man who is love-a-BULL, hug-a-BULL and adopt-a-BULL! This little guy packs a whole lot of personality and excitement into just 50 pounds of sheer cuteness! A product of divorce, Simba found himself returned to our local shelter where he was adopted from as a puppy. Short staffed and overwhelmed, this was not the place for an active, intelligent dog to thrive and so he languished for four months. When Virginia Paws for Pits heard he was at risk, they sprang into action and made his plight public! Because we had an extra spot in our kennel, we were happy to be able to give Simba a place to hang while we all work together to help him find a new family. Simba is full of love and adores people! He's full of life and energy and NEEDS a fenced yard to romp and play and express his joy! He is not good with cats or small animals. He has lived with a dog in the past and seems to be ok with other dogs but....he is very excitable and would need slow introductions, supervision and caution to place in a home with other dogs. Simba's not so lovely quality is pulling on his leash like an idiot when he is over excited. That's why he has to have a fenced yard and an owner who is willing to make sure he gets the balance of exercise and calming structure that he needs to be successful. (No small kids, please. They would be over stimulating for Simba and he might accidentally bowl them over like pins at the bowling alley.) Simba is available to adopt through Virginia Paws for Pits. He is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and treated for internal and external parasites. His adoption fee is $200 which helps them care for all of the dogs who enter their program AND pays for two visits with Christopher Kirtley of Southern Hospetality, LLC. located in Afton, Va (therefore, a local adopter is strongly preferred.) Please apply to give Simba the life we know he deserves at www.virginiapawsforpits.org or email applyvpfp@gmail.com for more information. Please help us find Simba a family by sharing this post far and wide!

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Hey! I'm Rosemary (but pretty much everyone calls me Rosie, which seems to fit me better anyway). For those who don't know me yet, I thought I'd share a few details about myself here... I'm what they call a "low rider" because, well, look at me! Don't worry, though, what I lack in stature I make up for personality! (Just wait until you see my "excitement run"!). After winning the battle against heartworm this winter I've gotten to move my bod a lot more, so now I'm just about the perfect amount of "chonky"! Wouldn't you agree? I don't like to talk a lot about my past because it wasn't so great, but it has shaped me a bit so I need to be honest with you. I like other dogs...well, some of them...sometimes...but sometimes I don't so...I don't think I should live with one. And people...well, they can scare me a bit, too. (Not YOU, of course!). I LOVE people who give me a little time and space to get to know them. Those people are my favorite! BTW, I've been told I have kind of a serious face, but don't let the cropped ears fool you. I get zoomies that will make you laugh so hard you cry and when it comes to cuddling on the couch I'm a total pro. So what do you think - are you ready for a sweet little house hippo ready to wiggle and waddle her way into your heart and home? Faith, Hope, Charity and Liberty are 4 sisters who were found abandoned in a cemetary in rural West TN. Thankfully a nice lady found them and took them home. They were starved and freezing but very sweet and friendly. We believe they were born in late Nov or early December. They have started their vetting and if everything continues to go as planned they will finish their vetting and be ready to travel to their forever homes 3-15. These girls are going to be large dogs when fully grown. They are already learning how to sit and other tricks. If you are interested in adopting please visit funnyfarmpets.org where you can read all about our adoption and transport process and you can submit the adoption application at https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/FFRR/Dog The adoption fee is $399 and transport will be an additional $200 if they have to be transported out of TN where they are currently fostered.

Story
This sweet boy was found on the Supreme Court steps. Apparently he was seeking justice for his past treatment. He is badly scarred and very thin but oh so sweet and friendly. He is on antibiotics now and getting all the grub he needs. He loves other dogs and is very sweet and gentle. He appears young. Maybe about a year old. He is only 36 pounds now but needs to gain at least 10 pounds. He will be a perfect medium size dog who will be a great addition to almost any home.

Story
Gypsy was a stray. A man in Raymond, Mississippi found her and took her to the pound. They were going to euthanize her, and he took her home. She did not like his cats, so he surrendered her to us. She LOVES to run and play, and she needs a lot of exercise. She does good with most all dogs, but she is shy when she meets new people. Gypsy does not like cats! Once she warms up to people, she just wants to give kisses! Her ideal home would be a person or family that has a large yard for her to run and play in. She would be the best dog to do activities with or just cuddle with on the couch. She should be fine in a large, fenced yard. She can be hyper at times but settles down nicely inside with a chew toy. Gypsy is in boarding now, and she desperately needs a forever family!! We use the most animal-friendly transport on the road. Rescue Riders Pet Transport.

Story
This sweetheart was found wondering on the side of a road and we aren't sure why! She is an amazing dog!! She gets along with all dogs and loves playing with puppies. She is housetrained with a doggy door and does well on a leash. She learns commands fairly quickly and is just wonderful!! She is our meet and greet dog who is just a happy baby. She does get attached to “her person” and will follow them everywhere but we feel it's because she was dumped. we aren't sure if she's been around cats but can learn those rules. She has the Boxer play, long legs and sounds like she's gonna kill something, but it's all bluster. She has another Boxer she loves to play with and they go rounds together. She likes kids and isn't too shy of strangers. She's just a great, great dog and we want her to find her perfect family. We use the most animal-friendly transport on the road. Rescue Riders Pet Transport. We transport every weekend alternating between the Great Lakes and Northeast.
