Story
We have been fostering Shar now for a year and a couple of months (she was 14-months old then). I was hoping I would be able to convince her to be chicken friendly, but she loves how they taste too much, lol (I breed and sell chickens). Shar is amazing with property protection, she is great with our sheep, our horses, our cats, and our other dog. Shar loves her person, her family, her people. She is sensitive, empathic, and affectionate in a way that leads me to think she would also be a good fit as a companion pet. We have had a number of people inquire, but we are really looking for a home that would give her more affection. She is such a love and most people just want her to be a livestock guardian dog. My experience with her is that she is so much more than a livestock guardian dog. She is great outside, but her heart is driven more by being close to her person or family. We really want to make sure she goes to her forever home. It would mean the world to us. See YT video!!

Meet Sasha – A Loyal Heart in Search of a New Home Hello dear reader — My name is Sasha. I’m a gentle and well-mannered Anatolian Shepherd mix with a heart as warm as the sunbeam I love to nap in. My beloved human recently passed on, and now I’m looking for someone kind (maybe a bit like Mary Poppins?) who might open their home and heart to me. I’m a devoted companion — I’ll give a bark when someone new approaches, just to keep you safe, but once you tell me all is well, I’ll settle down and go right back to lounging peacefully. I’m fully up to date on my shots and in good health. I enjoy company, I am docile and sweet and  I’m also quite content having some quiet time alone if you need to step out. I eat at my own pace and appreciate a full water bowl nearby. Mostly, I’d love a gentle hand, a soft place to sleep, and someone who will check in on me now and then — just to say hello. Sweet Daisy Mae is a 95 pound brindle beauty with a giant heart. She is housebroken, crate trained, affectionate, attentive, and well behaved. She likes car rides and playing fetch but mostly just likes hangin' with her people. Scooters Pals saved this 4 years old Mastiff mix from "the list" at the Sacramento County animal shelter. She was known as "Cream Puff" at the animal shelter. Now we just need to find the right place for her to give and receive the joy, love and peace she deserves. Daisy bonds very quickly to humans and is very friendly to all the adults who have crossed her path. We have not seen her interact with children yet. Daisy either needs a home as your one and only pet or a home with another social dog, with humans willing to do slow introductions. Daisy did great initially in shelter play groups but since has shown dog selectivity and occasional resource guarding with another dog over food. Daisy gets along well with the male dog in her foster home as well as another male dog she has frequent play dates with. Our Daisy girl is already spayed, microchipped, heartworm negative and current on vaccines. She is currently healthy and ready for her new home.
