My beloved human recently passed on, and now I’m looking for someone kind (maybe a bit like Mary Poppins?) who might open their home and heart to me. I’m a devoted companion — I’ll give a bark when someone new approaches, just to keep you safe, but once you tell me all is well, I’ll settle down and go right back to lounging peacefully. I’m fully up to date on my shots and in good health. I enjoy company, I am docile and sweet and I’m also quite content having some quiet time alone if you need to step out. I eat at my own pace and appreciate a full water bowl nearby. Mostly, I’d love a gentle hand, a soft place to sleep, and someone who will check in on me now and then — just to say hello. We have been fostering Shar now for a year and a couple of months (she was 14-months old then). I was hoping I would be able to convince her to be chicken friendly, but she loves how they taste too much, lol (I breed and sell chickens). Shar is amazing with property protection, she is great with our sheep, our horses, our cats, and our other dog. Shar loves her person, her family, her people. She is sensitive, empathic, and affectionate in a way that leads me to think she would also be a good fit as a companion pet. We have had a number of people inquire, but we are really looking for a home that would give her more affection. She is such a love and most people just want her to be a livestock guardian dog. My experience with her is that she is so much more than a livestock guardian dog. She is great outside, but her heart is driven more by being close to her person or family. We really want to make sure she goes to her forever home. It would mean the world to us. See YT video!!

Pearl is a Malinois mix, estimated DOB is 8/1/25 and she currently weighs 19 lbs. She is very smart. She walks great on a leash and knows basic commands. She learns quickly and is fun to train. She loves to play with her toys and run through the water. She is crate trained and gets along with the dogs he currently lives with. She is friendly when meeting new people. Her ideal home would be one with room to run and play, so no apartments. She needs a person who understands the requirements of a puppy and has the time to continue her training. Pearl loves to be with her person, so she would love to find a home with a family that is committed to taking her on daily walks, have outside playtime, and that would include her in daily activities and other outings. She would do fine with respectful kids. Pearl is a wonderful puppy and will make a great companion for the right family!
