Story
Helena has a big heart and a big body! Haha!! We assume she is an Anatolian Shepherd/Armenian Gampr. This site does not have that as a breed option. Best as the only dog. Helena was surrendered while in labor and required emergency surgery to deliver the puppies. The people that “owned” her claimed to not have any money for vet care and were driving around with her in the car for hours looking for a vet to do the surgery for free. Finally they ended up at an emergency hospital that knew our friends at HOPE FOR PAWS and they agreed to help with the surgery only if they surrendered the dog to them. They surrendered her and then had the nerve to ask if they could leave a $1,000 deposit for one of the male puppies! Some people are amazing! Of course we would not adopt to them! Helena was so neglected! She had a prolapsed vagina that they said had been that way for “a few months” and they never got her medical care. She was extremely dirty, under weight and she’s lucky she survived! She was too weak to nurse the puppies so they were bottle fed.

Story
Mika is currently 1 year and 4 months old. She weighs about 100 lbs. She is house and apartment trained. She does very well with other dogs as she is constantly socialized at daycare. She is trained to use the bathroom and notify when she needs to use it. We are looking to rehome her to a new family that is able to give her more attention and a bigger space. She is very playful (loves toys), loves walks, loves to play with water, enjoys playing with other dogs, and loves her treats. She is a pretty well behaved dog. She listens to basic commands and has a moderate level of training. She is a bit protective and alert around strangers. We can provide more information to her new owner. Above all, we just want her to go to a loving home and to be adopted by someone who will take great care of her. Everyone who has been around Mika says she’s such a great dog. It is very hard for us to let her go.

Story
This sweet, beautiful and funny girl is still a pup! She is FANTASTIC. So easy going and fun. She is very loyal to humans and wants to belong. She listens. She goes with the flow and is ready to go on adventures or just chill with you on the couch if that is what you want to do. She loves treats and yummy food. She gets along with other dogs and loves to play with them. She walks easy on leash. RAYA did have puppies at 9 months old. She was surrendered to us with her puppies by a senior citizen who had her as a puppy and could not longer care for her. She was the sweetest most loving dog mom to them. They all got adopted at 10 weeks old. We want RAYA to be seen and loved and appreciated for the wonderful dog that she is. PLEASE ask us to meet her or for an application by texting the rescue at (747) 313-2971. RAYA is in the Los Angeles area. A home visit and interview are required prior to adoption.

Story
Reese is a one-year-old pit bull with a heart as big as his energy! This handsome boy is super energetic, smart, playful, vocal, and loving. He bursts with puppy-like enthusiasm at first, but once he’s gotten that energy out, he settles into a calm, cuddly sweetheart who just wants to be close to you.Reese adores affection — he’s a huge cuddle bug who loves being held and showered with love. His ideal home would be with someone who enjoys an active lifestyle — think hiking trails, beach adventures, or long walks exploring the world together.Because of his excitement and playfulness, He’s fantastic with other dogs and loves to play — though he can get a bit vocal! Don’t let his playful growls fool you; he’s not aggressive, just full of personality and enthusiasm. Reese’s story is truly one of hope. He was heartbreakingly set to be euthanized, but this special boy was given a second chance — and he’s making the most of it. Now, he’s ready for the forever family who will understand that he was failed by humans once, but he still believes in love and loyalty. If you’re looking for an affectionate, adventurous companion who will fill your days with joy and your heart with love, Reese is your guy.Let’s help Reese find the forever home he deserves.
