Story
MAXX & ME PET RESCUE adoptable dogsMeet Chip!   This handsome Mastiff mix is currently looking for his forever home. He is about 4 years old and 60-70lbs, although he looks larger (think tall, dark and handsome ;-). Chip currently lives with several other dogs and does great, but we feel that he may like to be your only dog or just with one very nice dog. He needs a calm environment.   Chip was rescued from Miami Dade Animal Services after we saw videos of him shaking in his kennel there. He was brought to us in Tampa and has been in a foster home ever since. While he can take a bit to warm up to new people, once he trusts you, he will bond very deeply with you and count on you for reassurance and love. He loves women and chooses them first.    He is cuddly, gives kisses to his people and interacts with the other dogs in his home. He needs a secure 6' fenced yard (no exceptions) and ideally just a single person or a couple for a quiet home. Because of his nervousness, he needs a home without children, just a quiet serene environment where he can love his people.    Chip is neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, microchipped, heartworm negative and on monthly prevention. His adoption donation is $250.    Adoption applications for Chip can be done at maxxandme.org. Please send one email to maxxandmerescue@gmail.com to confirm receipt of your application.    Maxx & Me is an all volunteer, all foster home rescue and do not have a shelter. Please allow at least 48 hours for applications to be processed (missing information may slow the process, so please take your time and be thoughtful in your answers). All dogs posted are available (so no need to ask). We place dogs based on best home for each dog and not order of applications received. Email us at maxxandmerescue@gmail.com for updates and questions. Thank you for choosing rescue. May 1, 2024, 10:17 am

Story
Nala, or legs as we lovingly call her, was rescued in the Bahamas. She was a part of a community members litter but since her back legs were not working at the time, they surrendered us to her for her to receive the proper medical care. She is a brave girl and a parvo survivor! Her leg usage and movements have been greatly improving and she does run on them now! We are confirming the next steps with our vets, but she is living a happy and fun life still and her legs do not hinder her happiness or her play. She should continue to improve and it should not affect her in the long run. Nala is a very friendly pup who gets along great with everyone she meets. She is a special girl who deserves to be spoiled for the rest of her life! She is around 4 months old currently and about 25 pounds. Nala will be fully vetted prior to official adoption. www.compassionkind.org/adopt ##1973133##

Story
Douglas is 5 year old mix (mastiff/german shepherd) so we think…I adopted him from a rescue when he was 10 weeks old. I am looking for someone who has the time to take care of him and spend the time he needs with him. He’s recently becoming more overprotective of me towards my husband and even worse when our daughter is home from college. He always had anxiety and does take calming medication. He has been around younger kids with no problems in the past but think he would do better with a single person or couple. He is house trained.
