Story
Mac and his siblings found themselves at a small rural shelter with no foot traffic so we got them out. Mac is curious and independent and loving and adventurous. He loves water and he spends most of his day exploring the woods and ponds on the property. He is super smart too. His siblings are all fluffier than he is and look more shepherd like than he does. He has more of a heeler look in terms of coloring and shape but based on their sizes and their growth since I got them, I believe they will be big dogs. Big, happy, friendly, loving dogs. He is about 4 months old. He is currently still in Oklahoma where he was rescued but he can only be adopted out of state where people treat animals well. He has to be prepaid and picked up directly from transport at one of our transport drop off locations below. If things don't work out for some reason, which rarely ever happens, we will either find a local foster to take him in or he will go back to Oklahoma on our next transport until a new home is found. Note: No dogs are advertised as potty-trained because most dogs need at least some re-training in a new environment and after being in a shelter/rescue environment/strays. www.facebook.com/desideratarescue (copy and paste into a new browser window) Transport locations: - Washington State (Kennewick, Spokane, Tumwater, Tacoma, Tukwila, Lynnwood/Edmonds, Bellingham) - Oregon (Portland and Springfield) - Colorado (Ft Lupton) - Idaho (Heyburn and Boise/Meridian) - Utah (Ogden) - Wyoming (Evanston, Rock Springs, Laramie) - Montana (Missoula) - Illinois (Vandalia, Springfield, Chicago) - Indiana (Spiceland, Burn Harbor) - Michigan (St Joseph, Battle Creek, Ann Arbor) - Wisconsin (Madison, Wausau, Eau Claire, Appleton, Milwaukee) - Minnesota (Minneapolis/St Paul) - Iowa (Des Moines) - Ohio (Columbus and London) - Pennsylvania (Erie, Pittsburgh and Harrisburg) - New York (Buffalo and Albany) - Connecticut (Enfield) - New Jersey (Bedminster) - Nevada (Las Vegas) - Arizona (Flagstaff) - Vermont (Brattleboro) Vetting: neutered, microchipped, rabies vaccine, bordetella vaccine, dhpp vaccine x 3, lepto vaccine x 2, dewormed several times, on monthly flea and tick prevention, on monthly heartworm protection, too young for a heartworm test. Story
Charlie and his siblings Dennis, Dee, and Mac have an always sunny disposition. They are spunky, happy friendly and curious. Their favorite past time is hanging out by one of the ponds. They don't quite swim yet but definitely love water. Great with dogs of all sizes and with cats. Love to cuddle. Do not love being a crate though. They will each make perfect family dogs or adventure buddies for a single person or couple. They are some of the best puppies I've ever met. They were surrendered to a small rural shelter as an accidental litter. He is currently still in Oklahoma where he was rescued but he can only be adopted out of state where people treat animals well. Story
Hi there! My name is Jellybean and I'm so un-bean-lievably sweet that you have to come meet me!My friends here at OHS ADORE me and have so many wonderful things to say! I love to be around my favorite people, looking out windows, and hanging out with other dogs that are of equal size. I have the silliest personality and will be sure to bring a smile to your face. My name definitely suits me as I'm super sweet just like a Jellybean!I am a very active boy and would love to go on adventures with you! Toys - specifically balls - are my absolute favorite and we can have so much fun playing together! I'm quite a large boy and sometimes don't know my size, so I need to go to a home without children. While I LOVE my favorite people (be ready for all the smooches and cuddles!) I can be a little shy and nervous around new people, new surroundings and touch. I also can have barrier reactivity which means I can be frustrated meeting new dogs or people through barriers. I prefer to meet in a neutral, open setting, take things at my own pace. Treats are my favorite way to make friends! My friends also say I love to learn! I am super smart and know sit and down, but I am always ready to learn more! Treats and positive reinforcement are great ways to make friends with me and teach me new things. I am high energy and I can become easily frustrated if my energy and exercise needs are not met. Being such a big and rambunctious guy I must go to a home with a fenced in yard. I can also be quite the leash puller, I can't help it walkies are so so so much fun! Patience and guidance from my forever family can help me improve my leash skills!I have had some fun with other large dogs while at OHS but I can be quite the rough and rowdy player, so I will need to meet any large canine companions prior to getting adopted. I will also need a home without small dogs, cats, and other small animals. That just means more fun time for us! Once we meet in person I will be sure to melt your heart. If you're interested, I am part of the Diamond in the Ruff program, which you can learn more about here. I can't wait to meet you Primary Color: Sable Weight: 97 Age: 2yrs 9mths 2wks

Annie the Anatolian So glad to meet you! I am a gorgeous, floofy young adult girl with big paws & an even bigger heart. I am likely not a purebred Anatolian; I share a lot of characteristics with Great Pyrenees, another big, floofy breed. Both breed are guardians at heart. I am a little shy when I first meet people, but soon warm up, especially with children. I am also shy at first with other dogs, unless they are trying to butt in when you are loving on me! I love to eat. I am crate trained. I’m learning to love being brushed. Cats are ok. Digging random holes in the backyard is a lot of fun. I would love to become part of your family! Adopt me through God’s Dogs Rescue. Attributes: 90% housebroken Shy at first, but warms up quickly Affection hog Local adoption fee is $200(in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $550 (includes transport to your area)

Looking for a loyal companion who will shower you with love every single day? Allow us to introduce Kelly, a stunning girl with a heart full of affection and a spirit that lights up every room she enters. And SPEAKING of showers.... SHE LOVES THE WATER :) Kelly is a love bug through and through. One of her favorite things in the world is giving warm, gentle hugs. Lean in, and she’ll nestle right into you, as if to say, “You’re my person.” She absolutely adores being close to her humans, and there’s nothing she enjoys more than curling up beside you after a day full adventures. Scratches? Yes, please! Behind the ears, under the chin, or right at the base of her tail—Kelly is always up for a good scratch session, and she’ll reward you with the sweetest look of pure bliss. Kelly is the kind of dog who will quickly become your shadow—in the best way. She’s loyal, calm, and always eager to be part of the action, whether it’s a quiet evening at home or a walk around the neighborhood. She thrives on companionship and would do best in a home where she gets plenty of attention, affection, and quality time with her people. She's the perfect blend of affectionate and mellow—loving and eager to please. Kelly is ready to start her next chapter with someone who will cherish her as much as she’ll cherish them. In return, she promises endless cuddles, constant companionship, and unconditional love. Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $450 (includes transport to your area)

Story
**Please note this is pet is currently out of town pet but we will transport this pet to OR for you when adopted. All fees listed include transport fees.** Meet Taz Danforth, a fun-loving, super sweet, and all-around amazing guy! Taz is a friendly, affectionate, playful, funny, and loves giving kisses. He's also a good boy who's great with kids and other dogs, but he can be a little shy at first. He walks well on a leash, but you will need to gain his trust first. Surprisingly, Taz was found abandoned by the side of the road as a puppy. How anyone could leave this adorable pup is beyond us, but we're so glad he's alive and well! With his rough start in life, Taz is a resilient pup who is eager to give and receive love. Don't let his size intimidate you, though - he's as gentle as they come and is always up for a cuddle sesh. If you're interested in welcoming this sweet boy into your family, please fill out an online adoption application. All Taz needs now is that forever family! He is around 2 years old and weighs around 85 pounds. We aren't sure what breed he is, but we this hes a mastiff mix of some sort. Interested in becoming a forever home for Taz? Fill out our online adoption application: http://www.friendswithfourpaws.org/adoption-form.html This is the first step in our process, and we don't go any further without an application. Find more adoptable pets, news and information on Instagram @friendswithfourpaws or our Facebook page Friends with Four Paws . We put a lot of time and energy into processing our adoptions to find our babies the best fit home for them and you. Please do not submit an application if you are not serious about adopting. We are so excited to work with you to find you a new forever friend, and appreciate you working with us.For immediate consideration, please attach your application to the initial inquiry to help us expedite the process. Our adoption fee is $525. This includes their spay/neuter surgery, full (age appropriate) vaccinations, microchip insertion and registration, deworming, heartworm testing and prevention, flea and tick prevention and travel expenses. All of our dogs are rescued from local shelters and the general public. Each dog is then placed in a foster home where he/she is kept for quarantine, to ensure if the dog gets sick it can receive proper treatment. We have foster homes in the NJ/NY area waiting to receive their fosters. Once an animal has received an application or there's an adopter interested, we make arrangements for transport. If a dog is already in foster care in NYC/NJ, an adopter will be put in touch with the foster home AFTER an application is being processed.

Story
Feah here is a brilliant, bouncy, brainy, bestie in every sense. The moment I met her I thought, “Wow, this girl is sharp.” Then her foster started sharing more about her and I knew, without a doubt, she is one smart cookie. Give her video a quick watch -it will help you picture her in your home as you read the rest of her bio. https://youtu.be/t4LesdOQSRg Feah is estimated to be around 6 months old and is very likely a shepherd/Malinois mix but given she is a rescue we cannot guarantee breed or birthday. She is everything you’d expect from an intelligent working-breed youngster- quick-learning, playful, people-oriented, and always ready for whatever the day brings. In her foster home, Feah is house trained, crate trained, and comes preloaded with a handful of commands and tricks. Her brain is always “on,” but it does go into stand-by mode, and she thrives when you give her something to learn, solve, or navigate. She’s the type of dog who will make incredible strides with an adopter who enjoys teaching, bonding, and watching a clever dog grow into herself as your absolute dream side-kick. Feah’s natural play style is joyful and energetic- she loves to play fetch, romp, chase, and bounce with other dogs. I recently got to see her join a playgroup where she met a wide variety of new dogs. She played beautifully with a big male beefcake, a bouncy female, and a wild male malinois mix. She held her own, joining in play and hoping out when she got overwhelmed by a bigger, pushier dog who just pushed play to a more physical style that she didnt care for. But even then, her approach was very polite. Her social approach is friendly and curious, and with dogs who communicate clearly and play with intention rather than chaos, she shines. She would do wonderfully with a confident, balanced, medium-to-high energy dog who can handle her playful enthusiasm and help her learn dog etiquette as she matures. Like many smart pups, Feah feels excitement deeply. You can sometimes see it in stimulating new enviornments and she will express herself by barking but with guidance, she settles quickly. What matters most is that she responds extremely well to direction. A moment of guidance, a quick reset, and she’s back to checking in, using her brain, and making good choices! It is really impressive to watch! She’s still figuring out what to do with all her fading puppy feelings, but her willingness to listen makes her a dream for someone who enjoys shaping a young dog into something amazing. Feah is a dog with opinions, energy, and a brilliant brain. To set her up for success, she will do best with an active, engaged family. She’s not a couch-potato dog- she wants movement, training, an occasional swim and partnership. She is also best suited for a house over an apartment. She has great basic leash manners but a busy apartment setting may be too stimulation while she is learning how to navigate busier area, passing dogs, elevators, etc. No cats for Feah please. Her love of chase would not be appreciated by a feline roommate. She is an ideal dog for someone who enjoys guiding a smart dog. She’s a Malinois/shepherd-style thinker, quick, sensitive, and deeply bonded. If you cant already feel it, here is why you will love Feah! Imagine being adored, having a dog who will look at you with bright eyes and wait for the next direction. She will work hard for you, play hard with you, nap hard afterward, and learn more in six weeks than most dogs learn in six months. I cannot say enough about how beautifully balanced she is! All those smarts do not come at the expense of her loving side. She is affectionate and people-focused without being pushy or overwhelming. Feah is so ready to become someone’s “once-in-a-lifetime” companion, with you! Ready to welcome Feah home?
