Story
If Kindrow had a theme song, it would be “Take Me Home, Country Roads” by John Denver. He loves everything about country life; wide open spaces, a slower pace, the morning sounds of farm animals, the fresh scent of dew-covered grass, and simple living. We didn’t realize this until he moved to his current foster, who lives on a country property. It’s like he was born for this life! Hence his nickname: "Kickback Country Boy." But Kindrow is more than just a country-loving pup… he's your best friend and the sidekick you never knew you needed. Watch his video, and you’ll be clicking that adoption link in no time: https://youtu.be/Wjc8DaDIUYs?si=ngyBEd9WFlDqbbrH Kindrow is tall with a big, blocky head, possibly a Great Dane, Mastiff, or Boxer mix. As a rescue, we can only guess his breed. Despite his size, he’s a total softie, weighing just 74 lbs and around 1.5 years old. Mornings with Kindrow are peaceful. He’ll snuggle all night, never stirring, and even lets you sleep in. When you wake, you’ll find him lounging on the patio, watching the sunrise, waiting to start the day. Living on a farm, he’s great with animals. Horses, chickens, ducks, and cows don’t faze him. During the day, he follows his foster off-leash while tending to the animals or doing chores. In town, he’s the perfect errand buddy, riding shotgun, simply enjoying the trip. If he stays home, his foster checks in via a doggy camera and finds him either patiently looking out the window or napping with a stuffy toy. No troublemaking here! He’s also crate-trained, and has been known to go up to 14 hours with no accidents. At bedtime, he’ll wait for an invitation onto the bed; a true gentleman and great housemate. Kindrow is gentle and patient with children, even as young as four. While he tolerates loud noises and quick movements, he prefers older kids (14+) who respect his space and enjoy more structured play, like fetch or tag. If younger kids visit occasionally, he’ll be just fine, as long as his home is generally relaxed. Kindrow enjoys doggy friends of all sizes but does best with medium-energy, submissive females who prefer gentle play over nonstop roughhousing. He’s also great with small dogs, respecting their space and size. He even met Mateo, a 12-lb pup, and after some initial shyness, they became best friends—sharing toys, treats, and snuggles. However, he needs a cat-free home. He somehow knows chickens are friends, but cats are not. Kindrow is leash-trained, knows basic commands, and is highly food-motivated, making training easy and fun. He’ll love bonding over learning new tricks! If your days include fishing at the pond, sitting around a firepit, working on the land, taking back-road drives, or just watching the sunset, Kindrow is your perfect match. He even enjoys kicking back to watch your favorite show! We’re happy to test him with anything you need to ensure he’s the right fit. Just ask! Ready to make Kindrow part of your family? Our rescue has a 2 acre property in Texas where we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group trainings and socialization play groups to keep dogs adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers support the positive growth of our dogs and we enjoy seeing their progress! Our commitment to comprehensive medical care sets us apart. We've received glowing feedback from veterinarians who commend our dedication to ensuring the health and well-being of every animal in our care with treatments that often go above and beyond. Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet. The rescue’s hard costs alone for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,120. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that Three Little Pitties Rescue is not government funded. It doesn’t stop there! Story
Let me introduce you to one tall, dark, and handsome boy. Gibbs is his name and he quickly proved he is an attention getter. As soon as he got out of the car everyone one site slowly worked their way over just to say hi to him. He doesn’t know he is a sight to see, he is just happy for the love and free pets. For each person that wanted to greet him he stood close by, often doing the love lean into their legs, needless to say- he doesn’t know a stranger. Estimated to be around 3 years old and weighing in at 96 lbs, we can say he is full grown! Gibbs lineage might include Great Dane, we recognize those legs, and likely some German Shepherd. Naturally, in rescue we can never be 100% certain of age or breed, but if you get his DNA done after you adopt him, please share- we live for that! We can see the love and loyalty of a shepherd, the limbs of a dane, with a goofy playfulness that is very lab-like. Gibbs has been so fortunate and is being fostered in a loving home while he waits for his adoption day. This is wonderful not just for the everyday skills he learns and practices but because it gives us a front-row seat to his personality and mannerisms. Gibbs foster home consists of adults, kids age 7-14, a cat, another dog, and a steady stream of family and guest. His foster family shared that he is such a fun-loving dog with an affection for all toys, with rope toys being his #1 favorite! He is half-way to learning fetch, with a rope toy, he will consistently run for the toy but the return is less consistent but we have no doubt he can master it with your help. He isn’t all play though, second to his playful side, his foster describes him as a big ol’ teddy bear, sharing stories of his affectionate and cuddly side. When cuddling it is a toss up whether he is the big spoon or the little, he is versatile and you can decide. Major bonus, he is house and crate trained! Hardy’s dream home would be somewhere with room to stretch his legs and bounce around, he isn’t much of the running type but he does love to get his steps in. He enjoys a walk and has great basic leash skills, but easily enjoys getting his daily exercise through play-sessions in the back yard or with a canine companion. We could see him loving suburban family life and being an easy addition to the rhythm of rural life. Gibbs has learned how to use his voice to talk to his people and although he doesn’t use it excessively, it is just a bit too loud for apartment life, though honestly, he doesn’t meet many apartments size restrictions anyway. We spent an afternoon with Gibbs, to get to know him outside of his foster home, as this helps us know what you as an adopter will likely experience initially. Brought over by his foster, Gibbs was friendly from the get-go, greeting everyone who came out to see him, while still wondering what he was doing there and what was next. We introduced him to a few new dogs, both outside the house and inside, he was friendly but never showed us his playful side but we know he has it. Initially, his approach to meeting new dogs is polite but not pushy. He would love the company of a playful dog but one who can enjoy his company relaxing as much as during a round of chase. Inside was when we got to see that he is more than happy to lay down around a new dog without a second thought, this is a dog that is confident in himself but not overpowering. We joked that it was almost like he understood that his size could be intimidating and he knew taking it slow and being “small” was the way to go. Gibbs is going to be a force of love and loyalty in whatever home he is welcomed into and the fact that he will bring just as much fun into the mix is a bonus. It is easy to imagine all the fun your kids or the neighborhood kids will have with him and all the laughs you will get watching it. Gibbs is attentive, smart, welcoming and friendly- a beautiful mix of qualities! This boy is a gorgeous, loyal, loving dog who is undoubtedly going to offer unmatched companionship and a deep bond with his people. He is ready to be your steady sidekick in all of life’s adventures, big and small. If you are in love, do not hesitate to fill our an application, the gorgeous and charming ones like Gibbs do not stay available for long. Questions? Story
Douglas is a sweet 2 yr old Great Dane mix looking for a very special home. His owner had to move cross country due to an emergency, and he is in the care of a friend who loves him but cannot keep him due to his size and his needs. It’s important to note that he has previously exhibited reactive behaviors towards other dogs or people, so he needs a home that is willing to work with him. Currently he is improving! He is goofy, sweet, intelligent, cuddly and energetic. He smart & can be prone to boredom behaviors, so he would do well with lots of activity. He can be a great hiking companion but is also content to nap beside you; he needs intellectual stimulation like puzzles and tasks more than he needs to get tired out with walks. His perfect owner would be an experienced owner of large breed & reactive dogs, who has a lot of time & patience to dedicate to him, ideally home a lot Maybe you have land where he can run. He should be the only dog, at least for now. No kids please.

What my friends at OHS say about me:I'm a fiend for food! Snacks are a great way to make friends with me and win your way into my heart.Biggest sweetheart award goes to.... ME!I may be shy at first, but once we get to know each other I will shower you with love!Giddy-up! The staff here call me a pony because I like to stand on my hind legs for easier access to pets.Shy and Nervous: I can be worried about new people, new surroundings and touch. I prefer to take things at my own pace and will need to live in a calm environment. I came into the shelter with a broken leg. The fracture was fixed and I'm healed but I may still have some lameness at times, and may be prone to arthritis as I age.The type of home I'm looking for:I would flourish in an active home with plenty of outlets for my energy! Physical and Mental enrichment is a must!My energy and size can be a lot for little kids, but I would do great with older, dog-savvy children. It could be with you! Story
Two year old Duke loves to play, but since he's a full sized Great Dane it's best that he has bigger dogs to play with. He has no experience with cats. He does great with older kids but would probably knock little ones over with his exuberant nature. He is house and crate trained. Duke is very loving and sweet and needs a new forever family as his current family will be moving out of the area and can't take him with them. If you have Dane experience, time to work with him and a big yard please fill out an application on our website, sccpets.com. His adoption donation is $350 which will include his upcoming neuter at our vet in Battle Ground. If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an adoption application.March 17, 2025, 2:35 pm

Story
We adopted Draco about a month ago and unfortunately are having to rehome him. Draco and our current dog do not get a long. Draco’s personality is more relaxed and prefers to stay home versus going out. He loves meeting new people and either gets overly excited when meeting a new dog and runs at them or doesn’t bat an eye. Draco is not leash trained, any new person who walks Draco has to teach him their speed or he will guide you. He may not be leash trained but he is potty trained, he will hit a bell on a wall, shake his collar, or even talk to you if you miss the two prior hints. He also loves watching TV, he will sit and look at the TV with you throughout a show or movie. The kind of home that would be best for Draco is a household with no dogs so he can get all of the attention, a household with another big dog (because smaller dogs tend to be afraid of him), and/or a household that has someone knowledgeable is dog training and is strong enough to help teach Draco.

Story
Holy lover-girl! Do not be fooled by her size, this is a lap-dog/puppy/angel baby. She is soft and snuggly like a teddy bear so when she climbs up to sit on your lap you will be absolutely wrapped in warm goodness. Don’t worry, she knows she is a bigger girl so she has learned that only about half of her fits in the average lap so she will either give you the front half-paws and head, or the tail-end like she is sitting on Santas lap. If you only have a few minutes to fall in love- watch her video but I can sum it up- Lacey is loyal, cuddly, innocent and silly, and a friend to all from dogs to cats and all the people. Lacey is about 2 years old, 75 lbs, and is just giving golden-good devotion. We cannot guarantee breed or age given she is a rescue but we believe she is an Anatolian/ Lab mix. Like so many breed mixes similar to her, Lacey creates a strong bond with her people and falls hard. She is the most loyal and loving pup and anyone who lands in her loving radar will never wonder if she is 100% heart and soul, their #1 girl. There is nothing better than the devoted, powerful love of a dog and Lacey comes with that and so much more. Lacey has been fortunate to wait our her days until adoption in a loving foster home where they praise her outgoing, silly, and loving ways. They have shared that she is both house and crate trained, has joined them for Fancy Footwork classes where she has learned all the best leash manners, and knows a few basic commands, while always being ready to learn more. She is treat motivated so training is an enjoyable process and she is a quick learner. It was mentioned before that Lacey is a friend to all and she really showed us how true that is when she was introduced to dogs- not only was she fast friends with all the dogs she met, she tried hard to make a friend out of the donkey next door. If the fence wasn’t there I think her play bows and barks would have gotten him bouncing around with her too. Lacey doesn’t need another dog to be fulfilled, remember she loves her people, but she would enjoy other dogs and would do great with a dog of similar energy. We would describe her energy level as medium with very brief moments of medium/high, that amounts to about 30 seconds of chase or a tumbling wrestle with a buddy. The beauty is she comes back to baseline easily so a high-energy, non-stop friend would overwhelm her- she knows the power of chilling out. She currently resides with a crew of other pups and does great. She especially likes to play with her basset hound foster brother- his ears are fun to pull on! Lacey loves to chase and does play with some toys- bring on anything squeaky or stuffies! Get this gal some fun new chew toys to welcome her to the family and she will be on cloud 9! During Lacey's cat test she did great! She does not live with any cats but has met several on different occasions and has showed the same respectful curiosity. She is unbothered if they give her a swat and understands that means they want a little space. Whether they swat or not, she checks them out and then walks off. A dog savvy cat would be a great fit for her- they can set the rules and she will follow them. Lacey does not live with kids but when introduced to them she was great. Given her size and love for close, cuddly love older kids 10+ would be best for her. Lacey is a bit like a kid herself and would enjoy having a little friend to run around with so knowing her size wont intimidate or knock over a little one is key. Let’s talk dream home- Lacey dreams of a home with space for zoomies and rounds of chase in the yard. We can only imagine how happy she would be to live the farm-dog life. A playful, confident, tag-along girl who looks real good in a truck, its the stuff of dreams for more than just Lacey. You will have to do two things though, get the car door- she is a lady after all, and maybe give her a little boost. Now that is do-able and well worth it for her. It happens, but Lacey has truly stolen the hearts of everyone here and we cannot wait for you to know why! The rescue’s hard costs alone (excluding transport) for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,368. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the adoption fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. Transport is a significant additional expense to the rescue.  While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that the rescue does not receive government funding and must fundraise to offset the remaining expense balance which ranges $100-1,000++ per animal on these direct costs. It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these SPECIAL PERKS: Extensive behavioral testing and information from trainers on our staff to ensure the perfect fit for your family  Discounts on Embark DNA test kit- $30 off of Breed ID test & $50 off of Breed ID plus Health test 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion A free private online dog training session with GoodPup, plus low pricing for future sessions  70% off of your first order of Fetch, a delicious PNW based fresh dog meatballs subscription Coupons for a fun visit to Petco 20% off of Dr. Cuddles pet first aid and hygiene solutions Discounted heartworm, flea prevention, and monthly dewormer  Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! Did you know that the Greater Houston area faces some of the highest stray and overpopulation rates in the nation? We are a non profit charity. Our goal is simple— to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and by rescuing animals from the streets or overcrowded shelters where euthanasia due to lack of space is often the only option. The dog you've found online is not only lucky to be in our program, but also incredibly fortunate to have caught your eye. Thank you for considering adoption and for joining us in our mission!
