Story
Meet Franklin! Franklin is a 7 year old, 95 pound, Anatolian Shepherd Mix. He was rescued in the nick of time from the euthanasia list in July 2022 and is ready for his forever home and a family of his own.We unfortunately know little of his past, as he was found as a stray, but he certainly does not act like a senior. Franklin is truly a fun-loving guy. He LOVES to play with other dogs and gets along with everyone, but can come off a little strong with his playful energy. He is a big goofball and does not have a mean bone in his body, but he would probably do best with older kids just due to his size. He is a very sweet guy and loves to scope out and curl up in the comfiest of spots. He is a big fan of toys, chews, and bones, but I recommend the tougher-duty ones, as he has been known to do a number on plush toys.Franklin is potty-trained and crate-trained. We crate him overnight and while we are not home, and he is great about going right into his crate when told. He does well on a leash. He has not gotten out much recently, but I am sure he would appreciate some more adventures. He has been around and done well with horses. Franklin still has so much love to give and is very deserving of the best forever home!To set up a meet and greet or inquire about a dog, please first fill out an application at https://savinghoperescue.org/adopt It doesn't obligate you, but it is the first step. We don't get to all of the inquiries but respond to all applications. Thank you for choosing to rescue!

Story
Meet Maggie! Maggie is a 2 yr old Anatolian weighing 80 lbs. She had a rough start in life. She was ran over at 3 months old and she's had major surgeries to fix her leg. Although Maggie has been in leg casts most of her early life she continues to have a happy and loving disposition. She's very independent, easygoing & a social butterfly. She loves all people, big or small, and she gets along with all animals. Nothing stops Maggie from enjoying life. Because of her surgeries she should be restricted from exercise. You just have to convince her of that! Maggie loves to smell new people (she knows no stranger) but she's not a licker. Everywhere she goes she gets lots of attention and Maggie loves it! She would be best suited in an environment with adults & children of all ages but preferably live with only 1 or two dogs. Although she gets along with all dogs, the more dogs at home, the more she's enticed to run with the pack which should be avoided due to her post surgeries. When left alone, she can be crated, but prefers to sleep on the floor while owners are away. To set up a meet and greet or inquire about a dog, please first fill out an application at https://savinghoperescue.org/adopt It doesn't obligate you, but it is the first step. We don't get to all of the inquiries but respond to all applications. Thank you for choosing to rescue!

Story
Ellis was adopted from an animal shelter in Fort Worth, TX in December of 2022. He is almost 3 years old and very energetic. Ellis loves all animals and people that he meets and is extremely friendly. He also has shown to be very gentle around children and is calm around them. He is the sweetest dog any pet owner could ever hope for! He does need a lot of training and requires owners who are able to spend a lot of time with him. Ellis has shown symptoms of separation anxiety and tends to chew and dig when left alone. The best home for Ellis would include a large space for him to be able to play!

Story
Meet the wonderful Winter! He is a 6 month old Belgian Malinois puppy with so much energy and an amazing mind. Winter did come to us from another shelter, so we don't know a whole lot about his life before HSNT but what we do know is that he needs to find his forever family. Winter is a very high energy dog who needs a lot of stimulation, enrichment, and lots of adventures in order to keep him occupied. He is looking for a family who loves to go on hikes, has time to tire him out, and can give him an amazing new family. We were told that he did well with other dogs and even kids, but we do recommend bringing your little ones in, and doing a meet-and-great if he will have a furry brother or sister at home. Because he is still a puppy, he is learning new commands and learning how to go potty outside, but he is very smart and loves treats, so training will be easy as long as you keep him engaged. Winter is neutered, up to date on current vaccines, heartworm test pending, and ready to go home with the perfect family today. *Winter is available every day at the Benbrook Waggin' Tails Adoption Center from 12-6. If you have any questions or would like to schedule a time to come and meet Winter give us a call at 817-249-3647*
