Story
Meet Franklin! Franklin is a 7 year old, 95 pound, Anatolian Shepherd Mix. He was rescued in the nick of time from the euthanasia list in July 2022 and is ready for his forever home and a family of his own.We unfortunately know little of his past, as he was found as a stray, but he certainly does not act like a senior. Franklin is truly a fun-loving guy. He LOVES to play with other dogs and gets along with everyone, but can come off a little strong with his playful energy. He is a big goofball and does not have a mean bone in his body, but he would probably do best with older kids just due to his size. He is a very sweet guy and loves to scope out and curl up in the comfiest of spots. He is a big fan of toys, chews, and bones, but I recommend the tougher-duty ones, as he has been known to do a number on plush toys.Franklin is potty-trained and crate-trained. We crate him overnight and while we are not home, and he is great about going right into his crate when told. He does well on a leash. He has not gotten out much recently, but I am sure he would appreciate some more adventures. He has been around and done well with horses. Franklin still has so much love to give and is very deserving of the best forever home!To set up a meet and greet or inquire about a dog, please first fill out an application at https://savinghoperescue.org/adopt It doesn't obligate you, but it is the first step. We don't get to all of the inquiries but respond to all applications. Thank you for choosing to rescue!

Story
Meet Maggie! Maggie is a 2 yr old Anatolian weighing 80 lbs. She had a rough start in life. She was ran over at 3 months old and she's had major surgeries to fix her leg. Although Maggie has been in leg casts most of her early life she continues to have a happy and loving disposition. She's very independent, easygoing & a social butterfly. She loves all people, big or small, and she gets along with all animals. Nothing stops Maggie from enjoying life. Because of her surgeries she should be restricted from exercise. You just have to convince her of that! Maggie loves to smell new people (she knows no stranger) but she's not a licker. Everywhere she goes she gets lots of attention and Maggie loves it! She would be best suited in an environment with adults & children of all ages but preferably live with only 1 or two dogs. Although she gets along with all dogs, the more dogs at home, the more she's enticed to run with the pack which should be avoided due to her post surgeries. When left alone, she can be crated, but prefers to sleep on the floor while owners are away. To set up a meet and greet or inquire about a dog, please first fill out an application at https://savinghoperescue.org/adopt It doesn't obligate you, but it is the first step. We don't get to all of the inquiries but respond to all applications. Thank you for choosing to rescue!

Austin was owner released by a family who had too many dogs.   He is young so will need some training which GAP can help provide.   Austin enjoys playing with other dogs, but may need to be fed separately.   He is totally vetted and recently neutered. Story
Meet Artemis and Athena! The inseparable bonded pair of 3 year old Great Danes seeking a loving home filled with endless affection. These gentle giants may not realize their own size but make up for it with their overwhelming love for attention. They adore both indoor and outdoor play, especially in a spacious yard that allows them to stretch their legs and run freely. Their favorite pastime is engaging in playful bouts with each other, often seen tugging at toys during their friendly wrestling matches.Athena, the more reserved of the two, can sometimes appear shy or fearful. However, with a patient and nurturing environment, her confidence will blossom, and her gentle nature will shine through. On the other hand, Artemis possesses a vibrant personality and approaches every stranger with an open heart, effortlessly spreading joy wherever she goes. Together, they create a perfect balance, complementing each other's personalities. While they get along with other dogs, Athena and Artemis may thrive best if they are the only two four-legged companions in the household. They have exhibited food aggression at times, but with proper training and management, this behavior can be addressed. These intelligent canines are quick learners and have already mastered house training and crate training. However, they have yet to experience the joy of daily walks, as their current home provides ample space for exercise and play.Athena and Artemis are seeking a forever home that can offer them the undivided attention and care they deserve. They have a preference for older children and may not be suitable for households with younger kids. Rest assured, this delightful duo will bring immeasurable love and warmth to their new family, given the chance to thrive in a secure and nurturing environment. If you are ready to welcome these beautiful, loving dogs into your life, provide them with the affectionate home and attention they crave. Let Athena and Artemis be the cherished companions that fill your days with laughter, joy, and endless love.To set up a meet and greet or inquire about a dog, please first fill out an application at https://savinghoperescue.org/adopt It doesn't obligate you, but it is the first step. Story
Meet Rexi! A 1 year old Great Dane bursting with energy and affection. This gentle giant loves nothing more than snuggling up for cuddles. Rexi happily spends her days alongside her foster siblings, two boxer mixes aged 3 and 8. Although she's intrigued by the resident cat and tries to playfully interact, the feline often scurries away, enticing Rexi to engage in a friendly chase. Rexi is an avid runner, enjoys going for walks, playing with her toys, and taking long naps nestled close to her loved ones. She has mastered a few basic commands like sit and lay down, and she's fully potty trained. However, she can be a bit timid around new things, likely due to her youth and natural caution. Rexi is an exceptional and affectionate dog, seeking an environment filled with love, space to roam, and clear guidance. To set up a meet and greet or inquire about a dog, please first fill out an application at https://savinghoperescue.org/adopt It doesn't obligate you, but it is the first step.
